132 Why Not Stay A Little Longer?

Sibyl’s POV

"Selene, Stop! It's dangerous." I jumped off my horse and ran to her. Beowulf and Nuri are very impulsive right now and I'm worried that if they fight, Selene will get hurt.

Beowulf's horse whinnies. He kicked the horse and rushed towards Selene.

But Nuri stood in his way. "I don't think it was a gentlemanly thing for you to ride up to two ladies."

Beowulf caught the reins just in time, and his horse stopped just before it hit Nuri's horse. His horse whined restlessly in place, as if complaining that he could not run as fast as he wanted.

"Selene!" I hugged her.

Behind us were high walls and lines of soldiers. In front of us were two men who could fight at any moment. The atmosphere has now reached the pinnacle of tightness.

Beowulf looked at Selene and me with a sullen face. He held out a hand to Selene. "I think your homesickness has been satisfied. Come home with me now."

I felt Selene's body stiffen in my arms.
