Chapter 2

Victoria was sure that if Darren had mentioned Ralin's name, she would have thought that her master knew the company's new designer, but Ralin's attitude didn't show that, whether he didn't hear it earlier.

"Victoria, could you leave us alone?" Darren's voice jolted the grown girl's reverie.

"Okay, sir," he replied; he turned around and glanced at Ralin by raising his hand to encourage him; Ralin nodded slightly.

"You, come!" Darren called him. Ralin immediately approached.

Darren opened his pc looking for Ralin's name there, and he let the woman stand before him.

Ralin Benedict

Graduated from the Rh*le School of Design, United States.

One corner of his lips lifted; there was no mistake; the woman he had been looking for seven years was now standing right before him, becoming an employee in his own company.

Darren raised his head to look at Ralin, who was like a statue before him. The impression he got from this woman was shy. Even though Darren knew him very well when he was on campus, Ralin didn't seem to recognize him.

"Miss Ralin," he greeted.

"Yes, sir," Ralin answered quickly.

"I like all your designs," he said, which made Ralin smile a little even though he had only seen two.

Darren was stunned again; Ralin's smile was still the same as before, "to save time, we will go to the manufacturing department."

"I-I'm coming?" Ralin pointed at himself. She didn't know that she would be going with the Ceo.

"Yes, you will explain the details to the workers. Get ready!" Darren ordered. He re-opened all the designs made by his new employee.

Ralin nodded without asking again; he returned to his room to get his bag and cell phone because, as far as Ralin knew, the company's factory was quite far away.

He waited for Darren in the lobby. Not long after, the man came with the car that stopped right before them.

The driver immediately got down and opened the car door; Darren invited Ralin to enter then he followed.

Ralin felt awkward; he had just met Mr Darren and went straight together in the same car.

Darren's fingers followed the music being played by the driver; he tapped them on his thighs. Meanwhile, Ralin was like a statue, afraid to move or speak.

In fact, in his heart, Darren wanted Ralin to ask him, but unlike his expectations, until they arrived at the factory, Ralin still didn't need around.

They both got down and went straight inside; all the employees bowed respectfully when they saw who was coming.

"Master Hansel!" Darren greeted the person in charge of the place.

"Oh, Mr Darren, my God, I didn't see you coming." The man stood up and bowed his head.

"I've brought in the designs for next month; I want it done on time." Darren didn't want to mince words.

Ralin immediately went forward and opened the paper on the table. Mr Hansel looked at the design.

There's never been anything like it," he commented.

"It's right!" Darren raised his thumb, "Miss Ralin, please feel free if you have something to explain!" Darren let him talk.

Ralin nodded and began to explain to the slightly more mature man.

Darren just watched from the couch with sparkling eyes. Hansel had seen it.

"I think that's enough, sir." Ralin approached Darren.

The man looked at his watch and then walked away, followed by Ralin.

Before reaching the company, Darren told his driver to turn into a restaurant.

Ralin just went along, but he didn't order anything when Darren ordered food.

"Why aren't they eating? I don't like my employees not eating, which will affect their performance," Darren asked.

"Sorry, sir! I brought lunch from home." With a bit of fear, Ralin took the lunch from his bag.

Darren's eyes stared at the sky-blue box.

He snorted a little, then laughed; since when did Ralin bring provisions? She used to be a girl who was famous for being arrogant because she came from a wealthy family.

While Ralin grimaced a little uncomfortably because Darren laughed at him. Until the waiter delivered Darren's food order.

"Do you bring lunch every day?" Darren asked in between their meals.

"Yes, sir," he answered slowly.

"Free food is available in the canteen," said Darren; maybe Ralin didn't know because he was new.

"I know."

Hearing that answer, Darren frowned. Maybe the girl in front of him is improving her nutrition so she doesn't eat outside food.

"Once in a while, you can submit a menu of choices to the cafeteria manager."

Ralin shook his head, "I will still carry provisions," Ralin answered confidently.

This wasn't the Ralin; he knew what was wrong with this woman. He changed from style and speaking was also very economical to the extent that they don't eat from the company canteen.

"You want your food rations to turn into money?"

Oops, Darren immediately regretted his question, which seemed impolite.

"No - it's not like that, sir. My daughter brings her lunch to school every day, so she wants me to bring this every day too." Ralin thought maybe Darren was offended by him bringing provisions.

Darren was stunned to hear Ralin's answer, and he stopped chewing. It turned out that he only knew a little about Ralin for the past seven years.

He didn't ask again to the company. After Ralin got off, Darren chose to go home.

His mother had just sent a message that her cousin had just arrived from America. Of course, Darren will postpone anything to meet his cousin and best friend.

A high fence covers the Darren family's luxurious Mansion, where his family lives in France. It took another five minutes to get to the main door of the Mansion.

Darren immediately came out and jogged when he saw Kenzi, who smiled, standing up to greet him.

"Is America boring to live in, or have beautiful women all but disappeared?" he asked.

"To be precise, I've dated all of them." Kenzi chuckled after saying that, as if it was commonplace for him.

"Who does not believe a Kenzi!" Darren raised his eyebrows.

Even though Kenzi is not like that, rumours that keep being exhaled by competitors make people think he is a female player. He is just a violin lover until now. They have been together for twelve years.

Only then did they hug to let go of longing and then sat and told stories. Kenzi said he would marry Violin shortly. Of course, that surprised Darren.

"Are you sure you want to marry that woman?" From the question, it was clear that Darren didn't like the fiancé of his best friend and cousin.

"He always sues me," Kenzi replied. His smile initially cracked earlier, has changed to a sad one, as if he had something to think about now.

"Since when can a Kenzi be prosecuted?" Darren responded with a joke. Betrothed to five years, he had the heart to let the Violin wait.

"I'm serious, and my company needs funds. He is willing to ask his father for help on the condition of marriage."

Needed funds? You never said it." Darren didn't know this; he knew Kenzi was good at managing his family's company.

"Exactly one month ago, Luke made off with the company's money."

Darren stared in disbelief, "How come?"

"I dunno, he's too blind to be used by his girlfriend. Stupid." He hated every time he remembered Luke's face.

Luke is Kenzi's younger brother, who has a doctor's girlfriend, but who would have thought this woman was very toxic and could control Luke?

"The thing I never did, was borrow money. The company almost went bankrupt because of him." Kenzi still remembers the incident.

Darren laughed at that for some reason to make Kenzi narrow his eyes.

"You should sympathize instead of mocking me." Kenzie snorted in annoyance.

"I'm just laughing at Luke's stupidity; how could he destroy his family company."

Kenzi shrugged her shoulders. "The violin helped me a lot, so I feel bad if I refuse her invitation."

"Besides, isn't that natural, you've been dating her since college, and now you're over thirty years old. I think she's too patient to wait for you."

"We love each other; whether we marry or not is not important to me, but this time he forced me. Twelve years together, we were loyal to each other; apart from the three months of my marriage to Benedict's daughter, even then, I still prioritize the violin." Kenzi appreciated his loyalty during this time. He was reminded of Ralin. "That woman? Even though she's poor, she's still arrogant!" he said.

This prompted a question from Darren, "I'm curious, what kind of woman did you marry at that time?"

"Women who only want my wealth to take back their parent's company," Kenzi replied.

"I doubt your words; if he is as you say, he will choose to stay." Darren couldn't believe it completely.

Kenzi shrugged his shoulders. "Violin heard straight from his mouth; that's why I made his life hell."
