A few hours later Rogue was excited and ready to tell me about her first day of school but my head was just stuck in the clouds and I couldn't stop thinking about what my father told me.

I still felt betrayed despite all the anger that I was feeling.

Rogue looked upset in the backseat and I couldn't help but feel sad because none of this was her fault.

I sighed deeply.

"Honey I'm really sorry mommy is just having a really bad day I hope you understand that."

She nodded quietly.

I know that I wasn't probably being the best mom right now but deep down I just needed a minute to myself.

Once we arrived at the house Rogue immediately got out of the car and went upstairs without even saying a single word to me.

I could tell that she was mad.

"Rogue please wait."

But she was already gone.
