LEVI’S POV
“Men spends about $80 or approximately Php4,000 on a first date on average. Typical person spends between $50-$100, approximately Php1,000-Php5,000 on a date night, occuring on average once a month. In addition, average date may be getting more expensive especially when it's an out of town. The average price of a movie ticket has risen to Php200 with a discount for students at Php150, yet you can get an all access pass for all films at Php4,000 and films in a competition pass at Php2,200,” I said in detail as I calculated all the possible cost of dating.
“W-what?”
“Fine dining in Asian, European, American, Thai, Japanese, Middle Eastern, or in International cuisines approximately cost from Php1,500 to Php4,000. I wonder how long before he could muster his courage to confess to you,” I snorted.
“Levi...”
“Let’s just say that he has the money, but his attitu
LEVI’S POVIt was a cold night, but I didn’t bother myself to wear my jacket. After that tiring day at school, I went to a book store near the University to buy another good book to read for I was really fond of reading. As I was standing beside the busy road, I put on my earphones and listened to some binaural beats I downloaded on my phone few weeks ago before I decided to get some fresh air in the near park of tall, old Narra trees.Only few people were there, sitting, or just walking around. I was just standing beside a bench, not too far from the road when I noticed a woman in uniform of the same school looking at the direction of an approaching truck. It was strange that I kept my eyes on her.“What is she doing?” I mumbled to myself as my eyes were stucked just looking at her. My heart started to beat irregularly as I watched her getting close to the road. What the hell.
LEVI’S POVAs I was making an egg sandwiches, I noticed Caius being so quite.“What’s with you? You've been quite since you woke up. That's new. Why? Aren't you feeling well?” I asked him as he was just sitting quietly for awhile in front of me. He's not been talking and he seemed upset."Eomma," Mom, he uttered."What about her?""There's a poem written on the notebook she gave me on my dream last night saying, ‘With or without, it's the same. Family is a blessing-or not? Complete yet feels like broken; in a mess, in chaos. I should be thankful—or not? My heart, my mind-helpless. Atmosphere; sadness, anger, pain. What can I do? It feels like everyone is drowning to the brokenness and hatred. They’re hurting each other; emotionally, verbally. My heart keeps on pounding-pained. Is it better to be just apart?’ Finally,” he said."Either you have a co
LEVI’S POV“What’s up?”I practiced about how I supposed to approach Adalee for reconciliation, but I ended up saying those lame words like, “Where’s your brain now, Levi?”Busy as she was for a quite long time while sketching, she stopped and tilted her head to look at me when I inched towards her desk.“Are you... um... busy?” I asked again when she didn’t respond. She was just staring at me, blankly.“Sorry,” I mumbled and looked away as I placed a bottle of Dutch Mill Delight on her desk.“W-what’s this f-for?” she asked.“Peace offering about the small fight we had last time.”“Ah,” she uttered. “It’s o-okay.”I looked at her and said, “It’s sweeter than Yakult. Try it,” then placed my hands inside my pocket. She smiled as she looked at the prob
CAIUS’ POV“I wonder if Levi kissed her already,” I chuckled as I drank the cold Dutch Mill Delight, and threw its bottle before I left the cafeteria.A stretch of dry weather made my sweat dripped down my temples, eventually making a slow descent to my neck. Before heading to the room, I decided to stop by at the department’s garden to relax and get some fresh air.I was alone, sitting on the grass in the garden area of the school under the shade of the tree. Later I pressed my back against the trunk of an old tree behind me.“Ah. It’s so hot,” I mumbled as I fanned myself using my hand.As I enjoyed my spare time, I fished for my phone inside my pocket, put on my earphones and listened to my favorite Korean playlist.“This... one. Because It’s You by ASTRO is good,” I whispered as I pressed the play button on my phone. There was a broken he
LEVI’S POV"S-Seo... S-Seoyeon?" I uttered when our lips parted. I was stiffed by the sudden shock that the kiss gave me."Um... I'm sorry. It's supposedly a kiss on your cheek, but you suddenly turned around so..." she said as she swayed her body, biting her lip as if she was trying to be cute in front of me."It's o-okay... I m-mean...it's an accident."I simply turned to Adalee and I gulped the moment I saw how she nearly crumpled her sketpad."Why... why are you here, S-Seoyeon?" I asked Seoyeon when I looked at her again. What the hell was going on, Levi? Why would it need to have a scene like this?"I-I'll just go o-outside. E-excuse me," Adalee said as she inched outside the room."Adalee... ugh!"I scratched my head as I tried to calm myself. I had nothing to do, but to watch Adalee walked away.I couldn't leave Seoyeon like this after what had happened to her last
LEVI’S POV"I know right," I replied as I grabbed both of our school bags, then paid our drinks.“I can’t walk properly, right? What happened, Levi? Did I d-damaged my b-brain already?” he asked as I helped him walked outside the bar.He was struggling from walking so I had to help him. His white uniform was stained already, his hair was greasy, and his actions were slow and clumsy.“Let me see,” I uttered. “Difficulty in walking, blurred vision, red cheeks, impaired memory... yes, I guess.”“Jinjjayo?” Really? he asked and looked at me. He suddenly caressed my face with his both hands.“Neomu kyeopta!” So cute! he yelled as he pinched my cheeks.“Hey!” I shouted and removed his hands away from my face. “Are you insane?”“Mianhae,” Sorry, he barely whispered before he totally passed out.“Ugh!” I had nothing to do, but to carry him on my back. After all, he was like a younger brother to me, so I had to take care of him.I left the place and started to walk back to the dorm. It was jus
LEVI’S POV“Are you mad?” I said, almost raising my voice. I stopped from walking and turned to her.She halted and tilted her head to face me.“I’m not the one who’s mad here. It’s you!” she yelled back, almost giving me a glare which was a surprise to me.“W-why are you s-shouting?” I asked.“You’re the first one who raised your voice here!”“So, you’re mad?”“I’m not!” she denied keeping a strong gaze against me.“So why are you shouting?”Instead of giving me an answer, she turned her back at me which made me realiz that we were in front of our classroom.Everyone was watching us, looking confused and surprised. Adalee didn’t mind and entered the room straight to her t
LEVI’S POV“How’s Caius?” Pino asked when he arrived at the clinic.“He’s fine. It’s good that he’s calm and resting now,” I answered.“He’s a Linonophobe.”We both turned our head to the school nurse who were just done checking up on Caius. I ended up bringing him here at the clinic because he looked so pale. He’s now resting and asleep.“Yes, probably,” I said as I nodded.Pino asked, “A Linonophobe?”“It’s the fear of strings,” I answered.“He only fear the rope, right?” the nurse asked, putting the stethoscope around her neck.“That’s right,” I replied and glanced at Caius who’s sleeping on the bed at my right side.“Linonophobes usually have no problems wearing clothes, but shoes with laces may be a problem and they may prefer leathe
LEVI'S POVExploring my own dreams was an exciting for me to do, and just as the moment I realized that it was a dream, I didn't feel any fear at all. It was probably around 3 in the morning, and I was right as I glanced at my wristwatch.I was standing in the middle of an old road with no sight of coming vehicles nor houses around. There were no street lights except for one broken lamp post near me, seemed like the place was abandoned. It was airy and eerie, and the moment that a cool breeze blew down on me, I hugged myself. Only the little light coming from the moon made me see a little what was around."Hello?" I called, but no one answered. I took small steps as I brushed my shoulders."Does anyone hear me?" I called once more, but still, no one replied. I was like walking in an endless road with nothing to see, but just blackness."What am I doing here?" I mumbled to myself, thinking why
LEVI'S POV"Please... p-please don't leave me, Levi. J-just stay b-beside me... always.""Please... p-please don't leave me, Levi. J-just stay b-beside me... always.""Please... p-please don't leave me, Levi. J-just stay b-beside me... always."Sitting on the sofa with just boxers on, I leaned my naked back against it, my legs were widespread as I turned the pages of the book I was holding as if I was counting it—but really not. Something was upsetting me."Levi?" Caius called out as he stopped from browsing his phone."Oh?" I answered lazily. I remained turning the pages of the book from beginning to end, then from the end back to the first page."Something happened?""I'm not sure.""Are you okay?""Do I look like okay?""What's wrong with you?""I don't know.""Really?""Yeah.""How many hands do you have?""Ten—oh
LEVI'S POV"Seoyeon?" I whispered under my breath as I stood up."L-Levi..." she said between her sobs.I was just standing with my mouth agape when she came running towards me and gave me a tight hug. I was out of words as I glanced at Adalee. She was gulping as she slowly managed to stand.Clenching her fist so hard that she almost crumpled the handkerchief like a paper, she uttered, "I'm... I'm l-leaving."She turned her back, but before she could be able to take a step, I said, "Adalee... please—" She cut me off.She said, "I'll r-return the h-handkerchief tomorrow. See y-you."She didn't even bother herself to turn her head back. It felt like I was defeated of some sort when I had nothing to do, but to watch her leaving the hall.I wanted to follow her, but I just couldn't leave Seoyeon like this, crying. I badly wanted to chase her and tell her what I feel, but Seoyeon needed me. Damn it
LEVI'S POVThe moment the three left the hall, slowly, I inched towards Adalee.Scratching my nape as I moved a little more closer to her, I asked, "Are you... are you okay?" My voice was breaking the silence. She tilted her head as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. Her eyes and nose were red, probably because of crying, and I felt guilty for a second."I'm... I'm okay," she mumbled, sniffing and rubbing her nose.I slid my hand inside my pocket, fishing for my handkerchief. I said, "Here."Offering her my handkerchief was a little help for her nose.Stretching her arm, she took it and started blowing her nose. Seeing her, a smile suddenly wanted to appear on my face. I just bit my lower lip to stop myself and said, "Stop crying already. I didn't bring any extra handkerchief for your nose."Blowing her nose hard for the last time, she forced a smile. "I'm s-sorry. I messed up... with your handker

He was sitting near the door, browsing his phone."Pino?" I called him.He instantly walked towards me as he slid his phone back inside his pocket."You're awake. How are you feeling?""Oh. I’m... I’m okay,” I answered. “But where’s Levi?”"Ah, Levi... um..."Rubbing both of his hands with his face crumpled, it was telling me that there was something wrong.I frowned and asked, "Why? Where is he?""He is... he's at the hall. He called an urgent meeting again.""Why? Don't tell me..." Slowly, he nodded. It’s because of me.I stood up and grabbed his shoulders. "Let's go there," I told him."Are you sure, you'
