Chapter 6

CHANDRIA CODWELL

Antok.

Yan lang ang nararamdaman ko ngayon. It is already 6 a.m. in the morning at naka idlip lang ako ng isang oras kanina. Nakabantay ako kay dylan magdamag dahil nag aalala ako na baka maapektuhan siya.

"Coffee." Napaangat ako ng tingin sa nag lapag ng kape sa harap ko. Its Maxius.

"Thanks." Pare-pareho kaming mga walang tulog dahil sa nangyari. Naipaligpit nadin namin sa mga tauhan namin ang mga bangkay ng mga hampas lupang pumasok sa bahay namin, and now it looks so clean like how should always be.

Bumalik ako sa pag sandal sa sofa habang iniipit ang buhok gamit ang nadampot kong lapis sa tabi. A messy bun to be exact.

Si kuya Cay at kuya Renze ay nasa kusina, nag hahanda ng almusal namin. Expected nadin kasi yung pag sugod samin kagabi kaya lahat ng kasambahay ay nasa bakasyon sa mga pamilya nila. I don't think ibabalik pa sila nila kuya but i'm sure makukuha nila ang bayad na dapat ay sa kanila.

Si maxia, umakyat sandali para mag hilamos. Nakisuyo nadin ako na silipin si Dylan, baka gising na. Yung dalawang ugok naman na si skye at liam, nasa garden nag lilibang.

"You sure that you're okay?" I glanced at Maxius who's staring at my left arm. Nadaplisan kasi aki kanina ng bala nung nakakuha kay dylan, but good thing na hindi naman naiwan sng bala sakin, dumaplis lang talaga.

"I'm good." Walang buhay na sagot ko at inumpisahang higupin ang kape na nasa harap ko.

Nabalik ako sa pag tulala habang siya ay naka upo sa kaharap kong sofa.

My mind is creating shits but its immediately cut off when someone call me. I smiled as i hear his voice.

"Mommy, daddy, good morning po."

It was dylan, kasama si Maxia. Dylan run towards us kaya mabilis ko siyang niyakap at hinalikan sa pisngi.

Hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko kung sakaling may nangyaring masama sayo.

"I'll just go to skye and liam"paalam ni Maxia at nag lakad palabas ng bahay. Mabuti nalang at sanay nadin kami sa ganito kaya kahit papano hindi kami hirap sa mga sleepless nights namin.

"How's your sleep, son?" Nabalik ang atensyon ko kay dylan na naka kalong na ngayon kay Maxius.

"Its good daddy, i had a bad dream but its okay, that's not true naman po." Nag ka tinginan kami sa sinabi ni  dylan. I don't if i'm will be glad or scared to what dylan said. Ayokong solohin niya kung natatakot man siya.

Argh my head hurts!

Napahawak ako sa ulo ko ng kumirot to. Tss what a pleasant start for a day.

"Breakfast is ready."

Sakto namang pumasok yung tatlong galing sa garden. "Dylan, come. Let's eat." Sumama naman agad si dylan kila Maxia at dumiretso ng kusina samantalang nanatiling nasa harap ko  si Max.

I arched my brow at him ng hindi siya umalis sa harap ko. "Why don't you follow them?"

"Why don't you also follow them?"

"Nice, answering my question with another question, huh?" I rolled my eyes on him and stand up to lead the way to the dining area.

Umupo agad ako sa tabi ni dylan na ngayon ay nakain na. Diretsong naupo si Max sa tabi ko kaya pasimple ko siyang sinamaan ng tingin.

He think ayos na lahat dahil lang tinulungan niya ko kagabi?– i mean kanina?

Walang umiimik samin, only the sounds of the utensils will be heard in the dining not until kuya Cay decided to break the silence.

"Our flight was moved, instead of 2days from now, i decided na paagahin, mamayang 2a.m. ang flight. Take a rest first and pack your things."

Tinapos agad namin ang pag kain namin. Unang nagpaalam sina liam at skye samantalang si Maxia at Maxius.

"Wala ba kayong balak umuwi?" I ask them. Kuya cay and kuya renze are now taking a rest, sure kasi puyat sila mamaya.

"Wala, naka pack na ang things namin kahapon before we came here kaya dadaanan nalang namin mamaya before going to the airport, so you go to your room and take a rest, kami na bahala kay dylan." Maxia said, dylan and Maxius is now at the carpet on the salas, playing while me and Maxia is here at the kitchen.

"Yeah, i think i really need to take a rest." Dumampot pa ako ng isang strawberry bago tumayo. "Take care of dylan."

Sa isang hallway nako dumaan pa akyat para hindi ko maistorbo ang mag amang nag lalaro.

As i enter my room, ibinagsak ko agad ang katawan ko sa kama ko at hinayaan ang sariling malunod sa antok.

MAXIUS JACOB P.O.V.

"That's cool daddy!" I smile as i saw my son being amazed by the toy car i'm holding. Nag ta transform into a robot and also nag papalit ng style yung car.

"This is my favorite, your mom gave it to me when we arw still young like you." He look amused by what i said. Oh i remember that day.

FLASHBACK

"your birthday is coming, right max?" Chan ask me. We are here at our house kitchen, we are eating a chocolate cake baked by my mom.

"Yeah, 1 week from now. Why do you ask?" Instead of answering, she jump off the highchair and run away. I am clueless as she came back holding a box. A medium size box na siguro at kasing laki ng dalawang kutsarang pinag dugtong.

"I have a gift for you, here." I got confused at first but eventually take it. "Baka kasi hindi ako maka attend sa party mo kasi i'm not allowed to feel tired, you know my heart is weak diba?" She look so sad.

I don't know why but i don't wan't to make her feel sad so i jump off my chair and hug her while holding the gift she gave me.

"Its okay chan, don't worry. After the party i will visit you and bring food." I smile when i saw her smile again.  "Btw, what's your gift?"

Umupo ulit kami at sinimulan kong buksan ang box. "Do you like it Max?" She ask.

This transformer car is amazing! "Ofcourse. This look cool chan! Thank you!"

END OF FLASHBACK

Its been an hour ng mag umpisa kami mag laro ni dylan. "You have drone, right?" I ask him.

"Yes daddy, but its on mommy's room. I can't carry it on my own." I pat his head. Gusto niya kasi i try i angat yung soldier na may parashoot sa bag, may connected na remote dun para lumabas yung parashoot but we need a drone para paliparin yung soldier namin.

"Then i'll go get it. Wait me here okay?" He nod so i stood up and start to walk.

Umakyat agad ako sa taas at dumiretso sa kwarto ni Chan.

"Nakabukas?" I murmured when i saw the door na naka awang.

Dahan-dahan ko itong binuksan, at nang makapasok ako ay isinara ko ang pinto.

I look around and there i saw her, sleeping on her bed.

Ang ganda mo talaga.

I don't what push me to sat on the bed beside her and stare at her. I gently touch her cheeks. I'm sure hindi siya madaling magising dahil mahimbing matulog ang isang to.

I can still remember that times where we slept together in a hotel after namin maka encounter ng gulo in our way home galing sa meeting. Hindi kasi kami maka diretso ng uwi dahil ininform kami nila renze na madaming nag aabang samin.

FLASHBACK

"dito na muna tayo mag palipag ng gabi mahal, it is unsafe for us to go home specially its raining." I'm holding his hand tight while we are entering our hotel room.

She roam her eyes around the room as she sat on the mini couch beside the bed. "You okay baby?"

I ask as i notice her holding her chest. Baka mapano siya, its bad for her na mapagod ng sobra at masugatan, it may cause to trigger her heart disease.

"Yeah, medyo hiningal lang ako love." She gave me a smile but i can see that she's tired.

I poured a watee into a glass and immediately gave it to her. "Here drink this, may extra white longsleeves ako jan sa bag ko, yku can clean up first and we'll take a rest."

She drink the water. I was about to walk and put the glass on the table when she pulled me through my hands and hug me immediately.

I smiled when he rested her head on my chest. She wrapped her hands around my waist so i put down the glass somewhere and hug her back, as tight as i can.

"My baby is tired? Hmm?" I felt thst she nodded. Marahan kong hinaplos ang ulo niya as i planted a soft kiss on her head. "Go clean yourself already baby, maaga tayong aalis bukas."

I whispered and she let go. "I love you so damn much, Max."

Bahagya akong yumuko and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. "I love you more, silly."

She smiled and enter the bathroom. It took her fifteen minutes bago nakatapos. Wala na rin yung mga dugo ng mga kalaban na natuyo sa kanya.

She look cute on my polo! Nag mukha itong dress niya dahil mas malaki ako sa kanya. "Lets sleep na." Patakbo siyang lumapit sa kama at sumampa sa kama.

I laydown beside her and cover us with blanket. "Thank you for taking care of me and dylan, love." She said that make me smile.

"Anything for my two baby." She hug me at isiniksik ang mukha sa leeg ko.

Oh god, i really love this girl.

END OF FLASHBACK

i don't know what pushed me to do this but damn!

I wan't to kiss her!

I slowly lean to her and aim for her lips, shit! My heart beats so fast!

Darn! I kiss her!

Napaayos ulit ako ng upo at napangiti sa kalokohan ko.

I miss her, i miss her kisses, her hugs.

I was cut off guard when the door opens.
