Dante:

There was only one person that could have invited Marisa, and that was Adjo. He was biting more than he could chew. I was going soft on him because I held his father in high regards. We weren’t on the best of terms when he was alive, but then he did nothing outrageous even when family members advised him too, including his wife, who wanted him to sign a new decree, stating Adjo would be next after him.

“Sir, I found her number, and I have put her through a call right now,” Ralph said, and I grabbed the phone in his hand while he stood still.

“Dante, what a pleasant surprise. It’s been what? Years.”

My hands were in a fist when she said this, but I knew I had to act better because of Elowen.

“Lose the act, Marisa. Where do we meet? Elowen told me everything.” I said to her, and she kept mute for a while.

“I will meet you at your warehouse.” She said.

“In an hour’s time.” I said, ending the call, and giving the phone to Ralph.
