Chapter 47

Eva hasn't come out of her room for the last 2 days, and Sree is worried about her. She goes to her room with a tray of food and knocks on the door.

"Hey Eva, it's me, Sree. I brought you some food," she calls out, hoping to hear a response. After a moment of silence, she tries the door handle and finds it unlocked. Slowly pushing the door open, Sree peeks inside to see Eva sitting on her bed, staring blankly at the wall. "Eva, are you okay?" Sree asks, her concern growing as she approaches her friend.

"I know something is bothering you, but I am your friend; you can share it with me if you want. I gave you some time alone, so I didn't ask, but for how long will you keep yourself confined in such a room?" Sree said in a worried tone,
