Chapter 48

When Eva returned home, Blaze's words were still ringing in her ears, and she was lost in thought. How could God be so unkind? What hope does God have for that poor child? She kept thinking about it. She was aware of the anguish we felt at losing our kid. This pain is intolerable.

As she sat in her living room, the memories of her own loss flooding back, She couldn't imagine the pain and suffering that poor child must be going through, and it tore at her heart.

"Where are you lost?" she asked, and she came back to her senses.

Taking a deep breath, she tried to push away the thoughts that threatened to overwhelm her. She knew she couldn't dwell on the sadness forever, but it was hard to shake off the heaviness in her heart. Standing up, she decided to distract herself.

Eva remarked, "You didn't get ready; we will be late for the party; I'll be back after a quick shower," and walked to her room. Sree gave her a perplexed look.
