Liam tried opening his eyes, but his head hurt badly, and he was forced to close them back.

“Liam! Liam, are you okay?” He heard a voice asking him.

It was a voice he would recognize anywhere in the world, no matter the situation he was in. It was Emma's voice, and it brought relief to him.

He felt her hand touch his face and he held it as he greedily inhaled her scent. While he was being attacked by Vincent, Emma was all he could think of. She was his motivation to fight Vincent, and he did. He had thought he was going to die and would never get to see her again.

He tried to open his eyes again, but the pain was much, and he shut them back.

“Wait, don't do anything, let me go call the doctor,” Emma said with worry in her voice as she made to leave, but Liam held her back.

“Don't go.” He muttered, pouting his mouth like a little child with his eyes still closed.
