LAUGHTER

As the last of the guests trickled out and the night wore on, the atmosphere in the pack house shifted from the lively celebration to a quieter intimacy. Damien and Elena found themselves alone in the softly lit living room, the remnants of the feast still scattered across the table. The faint sound of laughter and music floated in from outside, but within these walls, a peaceful silence enveloped them.

“Do you think they’ll ever stop talking about the ceremony?” Elena teased, a playful glint in her eyes as she plopped onto the couch, stretching her legs out comfortably.

Damien chuckled, the sound rich and warm. “I doubt it. You’ve set quite the standard for future Luna ceremonies. They’ll be talking about this one for years to come.”

Elena laughed, her eyes sparkling. “Well, I suppose I can handle the pressure. As long as I have my husband by my side.”
