Later that evening, as the pack house settled down after Alpha Alaric's visit, the air was calm, filled with the quiet sounds of nature. The stars above twinkled in the night sky, casting a soft glow over the land. Inside their private quarters, Elena and Damien finally had a moment to themselves.

Elena leaned against Damien’s chest as they sat on their bed, the warmth of his arms around her a soothing comfort. They hadn’t had many quiet moments like this since Luna was born, and both of them were relishing the peace. Damien kissed the top of Elena’s head, inhaling the sweet scent of her hair.

"You've been incredible through all of this," he murmured, his deep voice filled with admiration. "I don’t know how I got so lucky."

Elena smiled, tilting her head to meet his gaze. "I could say the same about you. You’ve been my strength, especially with everything we’ve been through."

Damien’s eyes softened as he leaned in, capturing her lips in a gentle, lingering kiss. The tension that had h
