Chapter 69 ~ New partner

“I’ve finally found you!” Ethan said with his hands tucked in his pockets.

“What is he doing here?” Rose asked in shock.

“I don’t know, Mr. Sinclair has never attended any of the events I’ve hosted before,” Mason responded with a hint of irritation in his voice.

[FLASH BACK TO FIFTEEN MINUTES EARLIER]

“Sir?” Tom called for Ethan as they were about to step into the elevator.

Zoe glared at him for disturbing them but he ignored her and leaned in closer to Ethan, “Can I have a word?”

“Can’t it wait?” Ethan asked in his usual grumpy tone.

“No, Sir.”

“Wait for me over there,” Ethan said to Zoe gesturing to the couch in the lobby.

“But Ethan!” Zoe protested and was about to reach for his arm when he left her hanging and walked away with Tom following behind.

Curling her hands into fits, she walked over to the couch but her heart was still boiling. She hated that even after trying to bribe Tom, he never used to give her the attention that she was craving. Zoe loved to be worshiped and seei
