“Are you sure this is the address?” The man asked, glancing out the tinted window of the hired car and up the tall building complex towering over them in the distance. “Positive,” Little Jo responded, typing away on his smartphone and only stopping once or twice to stare intently at the screen before resuming his task. “This is where she lives.” “Hmm,” rings of smoke billowed out of the man’s mouth as he took a long drag from his cigarette before stubbing it out in the ashtray attached to the dashboard of the car. “It’s been a while since I last saw her. I wonder if she’s still as beautiful as I remember her to be.” “Man, seriously?” Little Jo’s brows rose in mild disbelief. “Are you seriously calling that bitch beautiful? That woman stood against you in court and sent you to prison for five years, brother! Are you even thinking straight?” The man shrugged in response, unbothered by his brother’s reaction. “What can I say? I’ve always had a thing for those sexy librarian types. Bes
By the time, Jade dropped Vinnie back to the apartment, Vinnie was exhausted like hell. Her feet hurt from walking all over town with Jade for the entire afternoon, and her shoulders and back ached from carrying the heavy shopping bags. Well, if truth be told, it was her fault for not letting Jade call the driver to pick them up after they left the mall. Vinnie refused because she didn’t want to bother the driver arranged by Alex so she could go wherever she wanted. The driver seemed old enough to remind her of her father and Vinnie felt embarrassed asking him to haul so many bags around town with them. And it wasn’t like she couldn’t handle carrying a few shopping bags anyway. Sure, Jade had bought an absurd amount of clothes, shoes, and accessories for her, but it wasn’t that heavy, was it? Well, ask her throbbing feet and aching arms. She rolled her eyes. Nope. Not at all. Jade was good company though and Vinnie thoroughly enjoyed being with her, despite her slightly over-enthus
“Did I wake you?” He asked. She shook her head, signing that he didn’t wake her up. She signed that she woke up on her own and was about to ask him whether he wanted something to eat or drink when he interrupted her midway. “Good,” he nodded his head slowly, the lines on his forehead still too tight and tense for Vinnie to relax. “That’s good.” She tilted her head to the side curiously, wondering what was bothering him so much. Was it something that happened at work? Vinnie wanted to ask but she didn’t want to come off as nosy or annoying either. So instead, she waited patiently for him to continue talking. “I see you have been busy,” he stated casually, eyeing the pile of shopping bags scattered all over the floor near the couch. Vinnie blushed slightly when she realized that he might think she went overboard with her spending but then reminded herself that Mr Doyle himself had arranged for Alex to give her a credit card to use however she liked. But still, a part of her felt g
The hot water hit her skin almost instantly, making her gasp in surprise. It was exactly when Mr Doyle felt her presence behind him and turned. Vinnie held her breath when he glanced over his shoulder, before his body turned completely towards her. Their eyes locked together and the realization of what she had done slowly began to sink in. “Vinnie…?” He breathed out quietly and she swore her heart skipped a beat at the way he said her name. It was soft and gentle and for a brief second, she thought she saw a hint of surprise flash across his face. But then again, she did something unexpected. She had taken the kind of initiative that he probably didn’t expect from someone like her. She swallowed, feeling her throat move. Mr Doyle stayed where he was, unmoving, as if waiting for her to make a move, but she couldn’t. She couldn’t think straight, let alone move. She might have been impulsive when she decided to take such a huge step, but now that she had done it, she was suddenly un
She bit the inside of her cheek hard as he pumped his fingers in and out of her at a steady pace. Her toes curled involuntarily, the sensation of being stretched and filled was almost too much for her to handle.A groan escaped past her lips and Mr Doyle responded by slipping his fingers in deeper, hitting spots that no one had ever touched before. The pleasure was almost blinding. She didn’t know what to do or how to respond to this kind of feeling, to this kind of ecstasy that was flowing through her veins like wildfire.“Fuck, I could do this forever,” he growled under his breath, and Vinnie shivered at the way he said it, his voice dripping with so much lust that it left her trembling with want. She gripped his shoulders tightly as he continued thrusting his fingers inside of her at an almost punishing pace, driving her absolutely insane with his movements. But then, as if he suddenly decided that he wanted to punish her a little more, he lifted her other leg and wrapped it around
Vinnie had never been the one to eavesdrop on anyone’s conversation. She understood the need for privacy. She respected it. But damn! The conversation between the two men sitting in the booth behind her was way too intriguing and amusing to turn a deaf ear. She couldn’t help it. The more she tried to look away to distract herself or focus on the cup of coffee in front of her, the more inquisitive she became. Their words tickled her ear and pushed an amused grin to her naturally pink lips. “I’m so fucking fed up with this!” One of them snapped in a low voice. “If I have to deal with such big-headed, melodramatic and materialistic witches one more time, I might just lose it.” “Just like you aren’t already?” The other man quipped, probably with an eye-roll, not that Vinnie could see to make sure. But she liked the image in her head. It was funny. She tried not to snicker too loudly. “You think it’s funny, don’t you?” The snappy one bit out, his voice deep and dark with unbridled irr
Vinnie grinned at the fact they shared the same thought about that annoying woman. And for some reason, she was also pleased he wouldn’t be squandering his precious time on someone like her. Although she barely had a clue where that thought even came from. She shrugged it off. The man shook his head as he dropped some bills on the table and headed for the exit. “This was your stupid idea, Alex. Now take responsibility for it.” He pushed the door to walk out but stepped back when an elderly woman tried to walk through. He held the door for her, earning a grateful smile from the woman. It was the exact moment Vinnie felt herself growing desperate. Her eyes zeroed in on the young man as he returned to pushing the door and walking outside, the warm wind of the day greeting him with a gentle brush to his hair. He stood outside for a while, still talking over the phone. Shifting it from one ear to another before taking a glance at his wristwatch. Vinnie’s eyes widened and her heart raced
The next evening, when Vinnie came to the café to meet her friend Maya, so they could check out the newly opened bookshop in the market, she was stopped by a man she had never seen before.Tilting her head to the side, she curiously blinked and watched him carefully. The man was taller than all her male cousins and had a freshly shaven face. He wore thick-rimmed glasses, the one he had already pushed up his nose twice since he appeared in front of her. A sweet and spicy fragrance drifted off him. Vinnie liked the gentleness of the fragrance and the way it did not irritate her nostrils. He wore a nice suit that embraced him perfectly. A well-dressed, handsome man, one could say. His dark hair was combed and gelled to perfection. He carried a laptop bag in one hand and a tablet in the other. But there was something about his eyes, a slight redness over the glassy film. Not getting enough sleep was most likely the reason behind it.During the time of her school, Vinnie had spent many nig
