Chapter 20. A compliment.

Emily's POV

The air felt thick and stifling, and my heart hammered furiously as I glared at him. If looks could kill, he would have been six feet tall by now. But you know what hurts the most — It’s the fact Logan is less concerned whenever I’m upset. My emotions are oblivious to him and he cares less to know when I’m upset or angry.

He dragged me closer to him, drawing attention from every other person.

Every stare, every single eye, murmurs and chuckles made frustration bubble inside me, but I tried to mask those anger with a forced, phony smile on my face.

Taking my gaze to Logan, my face heated up, and I scowled at him with clenched fists.

“What the hell do you want from me? I’ve told you never to touch me! The last time I warned you, I’ve promised myself to raise my hand on your cheek and trust me, I can f**g do just that!”

“Oh, really?” Logan questioned, taking a step closer to me. Yanking my hands off his grip, I glared at him with a smug smile tugged at my lips.
