Chapter 14. My son doesn't need you.

Emily's POV

I yanked my hands off his grip, staring at him with so much contempt. My heart feels like it's being hammered as I marveled at his audacity to keep spying on me and feeling entitled to my time.

Is he jealous because I agreed to Collins's proposal?.

He better not be…

“How many times have I told you not to approach me in this manner?” I spat, my voice tinged with venom.

“Are you really happy getting married to Colin?” He asked, his face as calm as the surface of the lake.

His deep brown eyes searched my face, weighing the truth in my eyes.

“Tell me, Emily. Are you truly happy getting married to him?”

His statement fueled the rage in me and when I couldn't hold it anymore, I retaliated by pushing him off me.

“You have no right to ask me such a question, Logan! You have no right to question my plans and intentions. If my intention is to get married to Collin, I don't see why you should feel so bothered about it.”
