CHAPTER 5

SEAN's POV

As my father announced Amelia to the pack as my mate, I knew I had no other choice than to accept his announcement. 

Ever since I was born, he had been the one dictating how my life should be and what I should do. 

I regretted being his son. 

I was still in my thoughts when I heard a voice talk to me. 

"Hi, Mate, " Amelia said, stretching out her hands for a handshake. 

"Why did you accept to be my arranged mate when you know that your cousin, Elara is my mate? " I asked, looking at Amelia. 

"I don't care about Elara," Amelia said. 

I wondered about the kind of relationship that existed between Elara and her cousin that made her accept to be my mate even though I was Elara's mate. 

I was still in my thoughts when I heard Amelia say: 

"Are you still in Love with Elara? " Amelia asked, looking at me. 

MOONFIELD PACK

ELARA

The past few days I had spent in Moonfield Pack had been relaxing for me. 

Finn and the Pack Nurse had been taking good care of me, they made me feel like I was at home. 

But I had one problem, Finn's lover and his mum didn't want me around, they felt that I was making Finn fall in love with me. 

I was still in my thoughts when I heard the door open and Finn came inside the room accompanied by his beta. 

"I need your help with something, " Finn said immediately as he came into the room. 

Finn knew that I would do anything he asked me but I felt uneasy as he said he needed my help. 

"For what? " I asked. 

"I have been looking for my mate ever since I was made the Luna of the pack after my father died," Finn said, taking a deep breath. 

I could see the pain of having lost his father in his eyes. 

He continued. 

"And now I have found you, my mate and my destiny, " Finn said. 

"We need to let every member of the pack know, " Finn said. 

"We need to let the pack members know what?" I asked. 

"We need to announce you as my Luna," Finn said, 

"Huh?"

"But why me? Your mother and your lover don't even want me around. " I said. 

"She is not my lover, she is the mate my mum arranged when I couldn't find my real mate," Finn explained to me. 

"I can't be your Luna, what will your Mum say about it?" I asked. 

"That's also why I need to announce you as my mate and Luna so that My Mum would stop bothering me to get married to Lily, my arranged mate," Finn explained. 

"You don't even know who I am and where I come from," I said. 

"I don't know where you come from but I know that you are my destined mate. "

Even if I accept to be your Luna, would the pack members even listen to me? I thought. 

They barely know me. 

"Once I announce you, they will surely respect you," Finn said suddenly as if he heard my inner thoughts. 

"Take this as a way of thanking me for saving you," Finn said. 

I looked over at Finn, he had his eyes fixated on me. 

"I will leave you to think about that quickly and I will be expecting your answers today, we need to finalise everything. " Finn said, walking out of the room. 

I knew I couldn't bring myself to say no to this one favour Finn had just asked of me. 

He had been so good to me, not every man would save a pregnant woman whom he doesn't know. 

Not only that, but he also made sure I had a roof over my head and even made sure I ate and had enough rest because of my unborn baby. 

But I had one problem right now if I become his Luna, 

What would his Mother say about me? 

She had been accusing me of making his son fall in love with me but that wasn't the case. 

The truth was that I felt a thing for Finn but I couldn't bring myself to tell him that. 

I was afraid that I might end up being heartbroken and I wasn't ready to experience another heartbreak. 

But the truth was that Finn seemed different, he didn't look like a man who would break a woman's heart. 

But I have learnt not to trust a man based on his looks. 

And not only that, 

I have also been observing Finn over the last few days. 

Whenever I look into his eyes, I see a familiar emotion In them, Hunger and Lust. 

Finn loved me. 

I knew that and I could see them in his eyes anytime I looked at him. 

Only, that love would burn him. Soon.

A thought flashed through my mind immediately, if I accepted to become Finn's Luna, it meant that I would be safe and I would also be able to protect my babies till they were born.

Another thought crept into my mind as a weird feeling ran through my veins. 

If I become Finn's Luna, it means that I would be able to pay back everyone who had done wrong to me, from my uncle and aunt to Silas who rejected me as his mate. 

"Revenge," I gasped as I thought about this. 

As the word 'Revenge' crept through my mind, I made my way to Finn's office. 

"I accept to be announced as your Luna," I said as I came into Finn's office. 

"That was quick and easier than I thought it would. " Finn said. 

"Do you have any particular reason for accepting my proposal? " Finn asked me. 

"I figured out that it wouldn't be nice if I rejected your proposal because you have been good to me," I said, hoping he buys the lie. 

"I expected that. " Finn said. 

"Over my dead body would she be announced as the Luna of this Pack? " I heard a voice say from behind. 

I turned around. 

It was Finn's mum.
