Episode 5

EPISODE 5 : YOU'RE IN DANGER ..

I was extra anxious when dad left the house to save his wife. Gena, one of the maids at home, asked me to go upstairs and change. I should really go upstairs and freshen up, but it was unsettling to leave the living room, what if my parents comes back and they don't see me here waiting for them?..

"Don't worry, I'll be fine". I told her and continued waiting...

It took them precisely more than an hour to come back. Dad came back home with mom and she appeared in a degrunted stage...

"Ivanna, Go to the kitchen and get me a bowl of warm water and a small towel". Dad asked me as he was taking mom to their bedroom...

I rushed to the kitchen and luckily for me, one of the maids had just finished pouring a warm water in a bowl and all I needed to do was to ask for it.

" Please? Can I make use of this?". I came nearer and asked...

" Sure! Did something happen?". She passed the bowl over to me after asking..

I didn't have time to explain but I only got enough duration to inform her about mom's predicament _ I came back with the bowl of water, and then somehow standing at the corner and watched as dad administrated attention to his wife, my mother..

" Dad, is mom going to be okay, and who were those men?". I asked him after he had finished rubbing on mom's body with the bowl..

" She's going to be fine".

The counterance on his face didn't provide like everything was actually fine and there was no need to worry...

" Ivanna, we need to talk"'

His counterance became more serious .

He held my hand and took me to his study room.

" Dad! What is it?".

I asked aggressively..

What? I wanted to know what was happening, by letting my emotions run wide..

" Ivanna, I know grown you're..... But, please me when I say that your life is in danger".

Dad told me. I laughed widely and that was because I couldn't tell what was actually going on _ How is my life danger?

He took out a book and showed me a map, the map Led to a school away from town. Dad wanted me to leave immediately, but while I was attempting to get his mind changed, Mom woke up from her unconscious state and she wanted to meet with us..

Dad took me back to the room and He allowed her to express her joufulled emotions that we were home..

" Honey, I've asked Ivanna to attend the academy". Dad walked near and started confineding in mom.

" Hmm!! I do not things that's a good idea ".

She softly shook her head against it.

But, it didn't matter what Mom want; Dad had already made up his mind to keep me living in the same house with them .

" Baby, for her safety and ours.... She needs to leave".

After declining whatever Dad was using to convince her, she was grabbed back by the face and forced to listen..

" No, What if something happens to her over there?". Mom asked him this question, dad answered and gave her the accordance that everything would be fine ..

I was still standing there and looking, the eyebrows on my face was starting to get sweaty as I quietly listened to them...

" Hmm! I don't understand..... Who's coming for me?". After noting down everything, I was able to grab that part of the conversation and ask them about it. .

" Baby, you're a Tribrid.... The last of your kind, and with that you've become a target to everyone that comes in contact or knows about you". Dad allowed mom to explain, and so she did...

It was brought to my notice that there were a lot of people that wanted my powers, and those people who came at the cemetery were just the beginning of what was about to happen....

" So! I should leave for the academy?".

After thinking about my possibility of not being killed, I turned to my parents and asked them..

" Yes, but tomorrow will be fine".

Mom answered my question....

Dad agreed and that was how I went upstairs and began packing up for my long trip..

Before then, My parents asked me not to tell Daniella anything; and even though I want to, they've made it impossible to tell her...

The following morning, it was five in the morning and I don't usually wake up this early .

" Hmm! What is happening?". She walked inside my room and dragged me up from continuing sleeping...

"Mom! Allow me to sleep". I grumbled as she was forcing me to wake up. I could see what she was doing but I kinda needed more sleep to be fully aware...

She was successful in making me wake up, I then went to the bathroom to freshen up and after that, I came downstairs all dressed and spirited a little bit to travel to a school for people my kind..

" Take care of yourself". Dad and I hugged each other. " I will, thanks". I replied back and then mom came, so we had to leave for the academy.

It took us precisely five hours before getting there, the school wasn't as luxurious as my parents described it to be, but it didn't matter, what mattered was the their ability to prepare me for what's ahead..

" If you need anything, don't hesitate to call us". Mom told me after we walked to my dorm together..

" I understand, thank you". I opened my arm to hug her, but we were abruptly interrupted by a young girl with a gleeful behaviour ..

" Whoa! I'm sorry.....". She said first before continuing, " And you must be ivanna. .. my roommate right?". The counterance on her face, clashed with mine.

" Yeah! Nice to meet you?". I stoped, she noticed I watched to know her name, so she said, " CeCe brown".

Mom said her goodbyes and then we were left alone to unpack and finally find a way to stroll around the academy. .
