Episode 4

EPISODE 4 : WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT?..

My parents and I were both in a state of wake the following morning. I came downstairs for breakfast, and mom, as usual, asked me to accompany her to see my aunt and her daughter.

They lived hours away from us, but going over there was not something I wanted to do right now.

"Hey, what is going on?

She looked at my face and saw the fang still protruding.

" What!!! Did you forget to take your medication last night before heading to Sarah's party?"

She inquired, capturing my father's attention.

He wanted to know the truth from me; lying was out of the question, so I had to tell the truth.

"Fine, I accidentally left without taking my medication." I responded to her question by admitting that I left the house without taking the medication I was supposed to take every morning...

" Wow!! "How careless can you be!!"

Mom chastised me right in front of my father.

He could not help but stare and agree with whatever his wife, my mother, was vehemently complaining about.

"Honey, please calm down."

He was eventually able to hold his wife's hand and convince her to stop yelling at me...

He then confronted me and inquired.

"Ivanna, has anyone noticed how your eyes glow?"

Their judgemental expression made me want to lie; I choked and a fib came out of my mouth...

"No!! I was alone and ran as soon as I noticed the change".

For the sake of my sanity and not being yelled at for another minute, I lie.

It did not feel good to lie, but it was either that or face the consequences of letting a Human see my glowing eyes. I do not want to agree, but Richard noticed my eyes change last night.

I had no classes scheduled, so I dressed but refused to go to my aunt's house. Mom had the expensive gifts piled into the car before leaving, and Dad had me promise not to bother my mother as we were leaving to visit my aunt and her two lovely but annoying children...

I made the promise, and it was only because of this that he left me and Mom alone in the car.

"Take good care of your mother!"

He waved at us as his statement was directed at me. I nodded my head as the driver started the car and the wheels began to move...

We encountered some delays on our way to Aunt's house; Mom wanted us to stop at the cemetery, which she usually visits, and talk with her father, my grandfather...

I usually do not enjoy going to this place with her, but today? It was impossible not to accompany her and visit my grandfather's grave....

The cemetery attendant arrived and accompanied us to grandfather's grave; he stood in the corner, watching us speak to him.

Was he just going to stand there and we should pretend he is not there?

Irokd's mother advised me not to pay attention to me; it was so annoying, but it was impossible to pretend there was not a creepy old man standing beside us...

" Hmm! I will miss you, Dad".

Mom The idea of pretending was seriously walking for her; she did not care that we were not alone. I eventually tried her idea, but it was not just walking for me. Just as I was about to pull her out of her emotional blackout, I felt the hair on my hand spick up.

There was something wrong, but what exactly?

The old man who was standing near us had to leave abruptly due to an emergency. What kind of emergency is this? I asked him, but he just looked at my face and basically ignored the question.

" Mom! "I believe we should go."

I grabbed her hand and dragged her away from grandfather's grave, but we were stopped by some elderly men with beards.

I had no idea who they were, but it appeared that mom did, and she was thoroughly annoyed by their arrogance...

"Hey, Chris!! "What exactly do you want?"

Mom asked after I had finished styling and pulled my hand back. I stood behind her, slightly stretching out my neck to see what was going on...

" Awwn!! Grace, Is that your daughter?

The man who had locked eyes with her asked her.

Mom agreed, but she was not willing to continue the conversation. Unfortunately for both of us, they had other interesting questions that made me shiver in my boots...

"Go away, Chris."

My mother's werewolf fingers popped out as she politely asked him to leave. But he didn't; instead, he asked Mom about me, specifically my powers.

"We would need her". He said something.

" No! Never!!". Mom became enraged at him and launched an attack.

I kept a safe distance from the battle, and it was so heartbreaking that when one of the men came to capture me from afar, Mom threw a huge boulder at him and told me to run. I had to run for the hill right away, and I was lucky enough to escape the cemetery without encountering a ghost or anything scary...I am a werewolf, but I still do not understand how it works.

Even the man working at the cemetery helped mom fight off the strange man who came to take me. I was fortunate to find a kind man vehicle that transported me back home...

" Hi, Ivanna! "What happened, and why have you returned?"

My father became concerned when I arrived home unexpectedly. He inquired about mom, and when I told him what had happened at the cemetery, he quickly grabbed his phone from the table beside him and dashed out of the house _ I knew he was going to help mom and bring her home safely.

Daniella called me on the phone some few hours later , she wanted to know if I would be willing to attend as friends Party with her , I didn't want to tell her the truth , so I just pretended like everything was fine before the phonecall got disconnected. .
