It took quite a while for me to fall asleep. I kept pondering on Brody's anger. It's not like I stole Ashley, it was all for our safety. I eventually shook the disturbing thoughts from my mind and decided to sleep. There was hardly anything I could do from where I was.

I stared at Ashley. She slept so beautifully. I carefully cuddled her. I didn't want to wake her after stressing her so much.

Her body curved into mine. I inhaled her hair and buried my face in it. It filled my senses with an intoxicating scent. I wrapped my hand around her and closed my eyes.

I wasn't sure what time it was when I fell asleep. But I woke up to a pair of beautiful eyes staring at me. Soft warm breath spilled on my face, causing the pores on my skin to come alive.

“Welcome back,” she said with a smile.

I raised my eyelids and took in her face, “I should be the one saying that to you, don't you think?”

She blushed crimson and hid her face on my chest. I waited for her to stare back at me. When she eve
