12. Deadly Poison

Logan came out, regained control of his body, and quickly put on his clothes. He left the cloth bracelet Atlas had given him, however, as it had taken too much effort to put the elaborate outfit back on.

The white-robed man turned and looked at Logan, then at Myrene.

"After the ceremony, I think Master Logan should not be too exhausted. Rest for seven days afterwards," the man said.

Myrene frowned. "Why?"

"There is poison in Master Logan's blood. A very small dose, but the poison is dangerous to the werewolf nation. I don't know how it got into Master Logan's body, but something is keeping it from spreading, thankfully," the man explained.

Myrene was silent, but it was obvious that she was thinking.

"I will ask the doctor to take a look," Myrene decided. She wondered how there could be poison. Could it be from the food the servants gave him?

But what for? Who did it?

Or had Logan poisoned himself?

The same thought crossed Logan's mind. Who had given him the poison? Why didn't he feel
