Willa's POV
I prepared a Soulstorm for Cerberus before Al woke him up, but we didn't even end up using it--
"Mine!" Al's eyes flickered as he gave Cerberus a bit control. Al even made me put on my cloth again because he didn't want Cerberus to get "too excited"! I guess he only got a little bit more intimate with me today because this was the first time he was close to me when Cerberus was not around.
For the first time, he had all the luxury to enjoy the moment without worrying about losing control.
"I missed you, silly wolf." I rose the Soulstorm in my hand but Cerberus already jumped on me and pressed me down on the bed. I giggled at his reckless moves but only for a second before he took my lips fiercely.
His kiss was not as skilled as Al's, but with more raw desire and passion. That made me feel wanted. I responded by forcing my tongue into his mouth, fighting over territory. He was amused as he accepted the challenge, but Al seemed to have st
Willa's POVIt took me a long time to fall asleep after Al gave the "curfew order".I didn't remember how I fall asleep, but having Al's scent near helped a lot. When I woke up, Al was already gone. I turned and buried my face in his pillow, breathing in his smell. It calmed me.I didn't know how it would feel like when my wolf claims me a mate, but surely it wouldn't feel much different than the pull I felt toward Al, right? I doubt if any wolf's smell could calm me like his. No matter how doubtful Al was about Cerberus's claim, I knew he was just being silly."Willa?" Kirsch suddenly knocked on the door. I jerked my eyes open before I wrapped myself with the sheet--"Don't come in!" I panicked."I won't!" Kirsch answered quickly, "Just checking if you are up? Today is the pack run so I have to leave early.""Wait, wait! I'm coming right out!" I jumped out of bed before I put on clothes and opened the door. Kirsch was leaning against
Taran's POVThough the night was exciting, it wasn't fun to wait for Willa to fall asleep before I sneaked into the bathroom and deal with the fire she lit in me.I used to be a light sleeper until I started spending nights with Willa. Her smell was toxic to me, one that I got addicted to instantly. I finally could sleep sound after so many years now that I had Willa in my arms. With her here, usually I woke up only in the afternoon. But not today.I was woken up by a knock on the door.Willa was still sleeping sound so I sneaked out, not wanting to wake her up. Kirsch was not at home. That wasn't a surprise. Pack run could be a hustle. What was surprising was that, it was Scarlett who was at the door."Come on in, please." I opened the door for her, but she refused."Alpha, I need to talk to you, in private." Rarely, Scarlett bowed to me with a serious look. I glanced back at the second floor where Willa was sleeping before I
Taran's POV [Bold!] Cerberus growled in my mind, getting grumpy. [Let her finish. I need to know.] I knew Scarlett knew something about my curse, and I had to hear what she had to say. "I can't defeat you, and I can't take Willa away because she's in love with you. You are the only one who can make the right decision now." Scarlett sighed heavily. "Tell me everything." I suppressed Cerberus's protest, and her next words froze my blood-- "Willa's real mate is Alpha Kirsch." I wanted to ask how she knew about this, but my throat was shut dry as I tried to bring myself around it while Cerberus was basically losing it. "No." I turned to leave. My eyes lost focus as the headache worsened severely. I didn't know if I could make it anywhere, but I needed to get away from Scarlett who had just sentenced the end of my light. "I thought you care about Willa!" Scarlett shouted behind me. I turned and gripped the tree to stop mysel
Willa's POV[What the hell, Rachel?] I frowned at the ridiculous scene in front of my eyes. I wasn't in the mood of dealing with Rachel when Al was nowhere to be found.[I need you to come and see me on the beach.] Rachel shrugged.[Stop the game. It won't end well for you.] I was getting grumpy, but I could tell the fear was real on Scarlett's face. She was in real danger.[I'll push her off the cliff if you dare cut the mindlink or try to mindlink anyone.] Rachel threatened with a firm tone, [Come and talk to me, wolfless!]So much for her "returning to good process".[Rachel, murder is a serious crime. For your parents' sake, let Scarlett go now and there is still hope for you.] I locked my eyes on Rachel, nervous to see that she was serious about killing.[You took my hope away!] Rachel shouted in tears, [You turned me away when I went and beg you to not hurt my sister!][She disobeyed the Alpha in a huge way--][But
Taran's POV[Willa!] Cerberus roared as he sprinted in a random direction. I could barely recognize the forest with his manic run.[Give me control so we can go look for her!] I fought him and we crashed into a tree, knocking it down, and almost broke our shoulder in the process. Cerberus roared in frustration at my interfering as he lay in the dirt, panting.[Willa!] Cerberus roared again, trying to get back up. Under the desperation in his voice I felt sorrow and nervousness. It hurt to feel his feelings and I didn't want to put up a fight with him, but I didn't know how to steal Willa away when her real mate was Kirsch.[Please, Cerberus. Calm down first and we will talk.] I pleaded as he tried to pick up his paws again. We weren't even running in the direction of the Alpha's house where Willa was.His mind wasn't sane enough to process that information when he literally heard us through the mindlink. That was when I determined my mind--
Taran's POV[Willa! What are you doing?!] I asked right after Kirsch accepted the mind link, and he sped up his paws as I dashed toward the beach with my heart pounding in my chest at the scene coming through the mindlink--Willa was standing on the edge of the cliff, facing the sea.[Al!] Willa exclaimed happily, and that happy tone broke my heart, [You said I won't die if I dive at the reef triangle, right?][I barely made out of it alive last time! And the reef triangle doesn't make diving into the sea any less dangerous with all the turbulence around! Don't do it! Don't you dare jump! Kirsch--] I shouted at Kirsch, only to remember that the Alpha Aura wouldn't work on Willa. Kirsch's eyes were filled with fear, and obviously, he was thinking the same thing.[It's not like I WANT to jump!] Willa rolled her eyes, [Rachel threatened to hurt Scarlett. She took her into the forbidden forest. You need to go look for them by the way!][I'll sen
Willa's POVI could tell Al's fear when the scary Alpha suddenly appeared.I was scared as well. The scary Alpha left little room about what he would do to me if he gets to me, and just as lethal as my touch, I had no doubt he would tear off my arm if I fail to touch him with death in the first round.I had little confidence that I could. All of a sudden Al said: [Willa, aim at the reef triangle when you jump, and I'll be right after you!]Cerberus changed his course as well. He was trying to make it to the edge so he could jump after me. No matter how powerful he was, that power was nothing compared to the pitch black roaring sea under my feet. I doubt being a wolf could prevent you from drowning.[If I live, I live. You jumping after me has no other use besides risking your own life!] I backed a step, getting closer to the edge as the scary Alpha approached me cautiously.Death's green ring intimidated him as well, though not
Willa's POV I was in total darkness. [You came here, too, huh? How do you like it now?!] A strange, annoying voice smirked viciously. I wanted to talk back but I couldn't feel my mouth. I couldn't feel anything. [Get me out of here. You are supposed to protect me!] That voice changed into a pitiful tone and begged. My heart ached in sorrow but I couldn't move, let alone help anyone. I kept my silence as she talked to me, or maybe, just mumbling to herself-- [I want my mate!] That voice demanded anxiously. The anger toward me was back in her voice. [I need my mate...] She sobbed. [Go get my king and get him to come and save me!] She ordered in a condescending tone. [Or maybe, you can come to me and take my place!] She laughed in a frantic way and that suddenly put fear in me. [Come to me, Willa...] She mumbled, and she was getting closer to me. Out of nowhere, I felt danger and fear as I tried to struggle, but I
