Willa's POV
[What the hell, Rachel?] I frowned at the ridiculous scene in front of my eyes. I wasn't in the mood of dealing with Rachel when Al was nowhere to be found.
[I need you to come and see me on the beach.] Rachel shrugged.
[Stop the game. It won't end well for you.] I was getting grumpy, but I could tell the fear was real on Scarlett's face. She was in real danger.
[I'll push her off the cliff if you dare cut the mindlink or try to mindlink anyone.] Rachel threatened with a firm tone, [Come and talk to me, wolfless!]
So much for her "returning to good process".
[Rachel, murder is a serious crime. For your parents' sake, let Scarlett go now and there is still hope for you.] I locked my eyes on Rachel, nervous to see that she was serious about killing.
[You took my hope away!] Rachel shouted in tears, [You turned me away when I went and beg you to not hurt my sister!]
[She disobeyed the Alpha in a huge way--]
[But
Taran's POV[Willa!] Cerberus roared as he sprinted in a random direction. I could barely recognize the forest with his manic run.[Give me control so we can go look for her!] I fought him and we crashed into a tree, knocking it down, and almost broke our shoulder in the process. Cerberus roared in frustration at my interfering as he lay in the dirt, panting.[Willa!] Cerberus roared again, trying to get back up. Under the desperation in his voice I felt sorrow and nervousness. It hurt to feel his feelings and I didn't want to put up a fight with him, but I didn't know how to steal Willa away when her real mate was Kirsch.[Please, Cerberus. Calm down first and we will talk.] I pleaded as he tried to pick up his paws again. We weren't even running in the direction of the Alpha's house where Willa was.His mind wasn't sane enough to process that information when he literally heard us through the mindlink. That was when I determined my mind--
Taran's POV[Willa! What are you doing?!] I asked right after Kirsch accepted the mind link, and he sped up his paws as I dashed toward the beach with my heart pounding in my chest at the scene coming through the mindlink--Willa was standing on the edge of the cliff, facing the sea.[Al!] Willa exclaimed happily, and that happy tone broke my heart, [You said I won't die if I dive at the reef triangle, right?][I barely made out of it alive last time! And the reef triangle doesn't make diving into the sea any less dangerous with all the turbulence around! Don't do it! Don't you dare jump! Kirsch--] I shouted at Kirsch, only to remember that the Alpha Aura wouldn't work on Willa. Kirsch's eyes were filled with fear, and obviously, he was thinking the same thing.[It's not like I WANT to jump!] Willa rolled her eyes, [Rachel threatened to hurt Scarlett. She took her into the forbidden forest. You need to go look for them by the way!][I'll sen
Willa's POVI could tell Al's fear when the scary Alpha suddenly appeared.I was scared as well. The scary Alpha left little room about what he would do to me if he gets to me, and just as lethal as my touch, I had no doubt he would tear off my arm if I fail to touch him with death in the first round.I had little confidence that I could. All of a sudden Al said: [Willa, aim at the reef triangle when you jump, and I'll be right after you!]Cerberus changed his course as well. He was trying to make it to the edge so he could jump after me. No matter how powerful he was, that power was nothing compared to the pitch black roaring sea under my feet. I doubt being a wolf could prevent you from drowning.[If I live, I live. You jumping after me has no other use besides risking your own life!] I backed a step, getting closer to the edge as the scary Alpha approached me cautiously.Death's green ring intimidated him as well, though not
Willa's POV I was in total darkness. [You came here, too, huh? How do you like it now?!] A strange, annoying voice smirked viciously. I wanted to talk back but I couldn't feel my mouth. I couldn't feel anything. [Get me out of here. You are supposed to protect me!] That voice changed into a pitiful tone and begged. My heart ached in sorrow but I couldn't move, let alone help anyone. I kept my silence as she talked to me, or maybe, just mumbling to herself-- [I want my mate!] That voice demanded anxiously. The anger toward me was back in her voice. [I need my mate...] She sobbed. [Go get my king and get him to come and save me!] She ordered in a condescending tone. [Or maybe, you can come to me and take my place!] She laughed in a frantic way and that suddenly put fear in me. [Come to me, Willa...] She mumbled, and she was getting closer to me. Out of nowhere, I felt danger and fear as I tried to struggle, but I
Willa's POV[Kirsch!] It took me some time to persuade granny that I no longer needed a night guard, and I mind linked Kirsch right after I was alone. He didn't put it through.[Kirsch, stop avoiding me! Where is Al?!] I demanded, trying to get off the bed. My limbs felt like they were made of dough, but at least I could walk now.He refused again.[Fine! Don't talk to me. I'm coming to your office, and if you are not there, the beach would be my next stop. I won't rest until I find him with or without your help!] I grabbed my cloak, heading to the balcony. I decided that going through the window was a better chance to sneak out without granny noticing when she slept right in the next room now.[Willa...] Kirsch's reluctant voice came through, [Scarlett won't let you.][Try me!] I challenged as I flipped over the balcony, trying to find a way down. My body wasn't ready for too intense activities yet.[Willa!] Kirsch gasped as h
Taran's POVI had made my decision. If I had to leave Willa, then the sooner the better. Keeping the relationship on would only worsen the goodbye that was destined to happen.I knew it would hurt her for now, but I also knew how powerful the mate pull was. She wouldn't be able to resist the mate pull toward Kirsch in a month, and that would overcome whatever she's feeling toward me now.I had to leave.I had been lingering around the pack for the past few days, waiting for Willa to wake up. I knew where to find Willa because I left a bug in her hoody. High tech helped, especially when werewolves wouldn't be looking for them actively, especially Willa who didn't know much about the.I wanted to go and talk to Kirsch, but the burning in my heart every time I thought about giving up Willa and admitting that she was his mate kept me from doing so.I didn't know where I could go.I couldn't even go to the beach anymore because they
Taran's POV[Taran! Put the fucking mindlink through! This is serious!] Kirsch shouted through the mind link. He was minutes away from us.I rejected his request.[For the love of goddess!] Kirsch tried again, [What's got into you?! Where are you?!]He could have known my location -- when I was the only rogue entering the pack's territory. He couldn't tell me apart from Stone Hayes and his men when I was so close to them.Of course I stayed close. I wouldn't have let Willa be in danger. But Kirsch needed a push otherwise he would never get close to Willa.I touched the mate mark on my neck. The cuts over it were still open -- I couldn't heal without Cerberus. At least it stopped bleeding from the clawing Cerberus did several days ago. The human way of healing was too slow, I couldn't imagine how Willa had been enduring this for her whole life.I was really like Willa's case now -- wolfless without being able to heal. That was when it
Willa's POV The scary Alpha knelt on my broken arms as he pinned down my other arm with one hand. I could barely move let alone do anything, not to mention there were two other wolves surrounding us with mad red eyes. [Kirsch!] I shouted as the scared Alpha unbelted his pants. I couldn't believe that was what he was after. Who the HELL spread such a rumor about granny's magic?! To mark an underage teenager to get magic?! Shouldn't that be against the law or something?! [I'm almost there! One minute!] Kirsch answered me as the trees passed behind him. I could tell he was running as fast as he could, but from the look, he was nowhere near us. [You said one minute a minute ago!] I grunted as I tried to move, but the scary Alpha had already taken out his dick as he stroked it in front of my face. Gross! "For the love of goddess!" I shouted as I darted my eyes off him, "I don't have magic, you pedophile!!! Get off me!" "Can't wait t
