Lorenzo's pov

My eyes were on Alpha Kai as he sat on a chair sitting strong and composed, it was a sight I thought I would never see again.

It's been weeks since I ran with Alpha Kai on my back to Tina's cottage to ask for her help, my heart aches anytime I remember the state I brought him in.

But now he's recovering all thanks to Tina's help and care, and his broad shoulders and chest are once more radiant, I still find it hard to believe that someone I met randomly while running away from my mate could play a big role in my life.

I smiled as I stirred the pot of soup I was cooking in the kitchen, I couldn't help but I felt relieved and peaceful, I had forgotten all about why I was running from Alpha Kai that day, and all the resentment had now vanished, I even blame myself for the attack in the forest because if I wasn't running away they won't have gotten the chance to attack us.
