Teagan's POV An arrow flew past me and stuck the tree right in front of me. The tree started changing color right from the spot where the arrow stuck. Lorenzo's POV Some hours earlier. I rushed into the throne room, and immediately the maidservant relayed the message to me. Since I had become Luna, I had become a little bit restless. The position of Luna, wasn't all glamor like we thought it was. It was hard work. The other four members of the Council of Protectors were already in the throne room. Teagan's POV I rushed to the door, tripping over on the way but I quickly got up and opened the door. It was exactly what I was expecting. The beautiful Bridget. For some minutes, I was stunned, I kept looking at my feet. I finally braced up and looked into her face. The smile I met dissolved all the uncomfortable feelings in my veins. "Bridget!" Lorenzo's POV The walls shook as Alpha Kai kicked the door. Pounding his feet on the ground, he came to the bedside without looking at my face. He took off his scabbard and dropped on the bed without a word. Anger had eaten him up and I was sure this was about his altercation with Teagan. As his partner, I knew I needed to be concerned about his wellbeing. But, I had been noticing that he didn't like talking with anyone about Teagan, he loved him deeply to that extent. I could feel how angry he was, being offended by the one he loved most. 'Or am I mistaken? Does he use to act like this if he is angry with Teagan? What have I done wrong? Lorenzo's POV The whole Pack was thrown into mourning. Alpha Kai was the last to arrive in the yard. Only a few members of the pack, who had the heart to watch the gory scenes that would unfold soon, came. Darius was dragged to the arena where a pyre had been set for his lynching. They took him to the top and tied him to a pole directly above the highest point of the pyre. The initial judgment was to behead him but Alpha Kai had changed it, he wanted to hear his cries while he would burn. Alpha Kai had settled on his throne, waiting for the guards to get off the pyre and Elder Rick to read out Darius's crimes to him. I remembered Schraff's story and how it later led to the death of two members of the Council of Protectors. Something Like that should be avoided at all costs. Lorenzo's POV It was almost midnight. I was suddenly awoken by some strange sounds coming from outside the room. Alpha Kai was sound asleep. I hissed as I realized that I had been too suspicious for no reason. I laid back to continue my sleep. Alpha Kai would have been the first to wake if there was something wrong. As I was getting ready to sleep, I realized that I couldn't. A part of me just didn't allow me. I got up and started walking around the room. Suddenly, I saw a faint shadow ran across the compound as I looked out the window. I was sure I saw someone but the guards were all over the palace. They would definitely catch whoever was bold enough to be snooping around the palace. The next thing I heard was a violent knock at the door. Alpha Kai was jolted awake at once.
