Jackson had told me that my family was staying in a house near the pack's territory, but it had been a week and I couldn't get them off my mind.

I was sipping an apple smoothie while looking at the contract details that Martha had sent. All the amendments I requested were made accordingly. The contract looked so good that I was tempted to sign it right away, but I decided to check it again.

Alpha Dane was in the bedroom and taking a nap. He had gone with ten newly shifted pups for a run in the forest and it seemed that they all wanted to run wild out of pure enthusiasm. They returned in the morning at 4AM. So Dane skipped the training session and went off to sleep. I didn't bother him and noticed he was extremely tired, sleeping like a log.
