Violet POV

Alex jerked his head back with a playful smile. “What do you mean by that, Violet? I am your father and so I am here to see you.” He got up and walked to Nellie. They approached me together with outstretched arms for a hug, but I moved away.

“Don’t!” I almost growled, scowling at them. “You have come to meet me? But the last thing I remember is you deliberately leaving me to die!” I spat.

Nellie winced while Alex pursed his lips. “Look, Violet, we all make mistakes and that was just a mistake. I agree I made a serious mistake and I am genuinely sorry for it.”

“Yes Violet,” Nellie added. “We are very sorry and have moved on. You, too, should move on, Violet. Why have bad blood when we can all live peacefully?”

“Oh, my goddess!” I scoffed. “Listen to yourself. Despite the fact that you and your daughter constantly beat me and left me to heal, you still desire a peaceful life?” I was so angry that I clenched my fists. “Just leave. I don’t want you to be anywhere near me!” M

She's attracted to misery. She literally would not be able to function without a man near by protecting her from the chaos of her own decisions. I get that her stupidity is being rebranded as "empathy" but christ is her painful naivete the ONLY way to introduce strife into the story line?

I really dislike how the Luna is so naive in this story. 1 chapter she is strong and brave and the next just stupid
