Violet POV

My mind stuttered.

What? What?

I flinched back as my heart raced wildly in my chest. I felt like a fish who was just released back into water into the safety of my Alpha’s arms.

I blinked in shock, staring at Ilene with my teeth clamped tightly. Ilene was unable to move her foot that was injured. As blood flowed, her wound showed signs of healing. She said nothing as she moaned in pain, trying to pull her leg towards herself with difficulty, cursing under breath.
