The lady, Stella, was in labor for three hours. It reminded me of my time and my stomach clenched. I was alone when I gave birth to Dave. The money I saved from my modeling and waitressing gigs was used to cover hospital admission costs. Dave was born after I endured eight hours of labor pain, and when I saw him, I couldn't help but cry because he was the most gorgeous pup I had ever laid eyes on.

There were four of us managing Stella’s labor pain. I think she went into premature labor after her mate left her for the war. It took the pup nearly five hours to make an appearance. When I gave her the little bundle of joy, I hoped she forgot about the war.

After wiping my sweat, I headed back to my room and flopped onto my bed, feeling utterly exhausted. However, an hour later, I heard another scream. Grabbing my sweater, I rushed downstairs to see that a batch of four wounded werewolves had arrived.
