chapter 3

Amber's POV

This evening, the atmosphere in the palace was very quiet and quiet. In that silence, I felt compelled to go to a place that was a place of protection and warmth for me, namely Ruby, my best friend. With small, enthusiastic steps, I crossed the garden that spread out beautifully in front of the palace. The beauty of the park really captured my heart, and a small smile appeared on my face as I enjoyed this solo trip.

"How beautiful," I thought, unable to contain my admiration.

My eyes were transfixed by the beauty of the flowers that bloomed brilliantly here. They have the power to calm my heart and make me forget everything that I have experienced. It feels like the world is just me and the flowers that accompany me.

However, the silence was broken when Ruby arrived. He sat next to me gently, it seemed I hadn't noticed his presence before.

Ruby gently patted my shoulder and said, "Amber…"

I felt a little surprised, but with a small smile on my face, I glanced at Ruby and told her how happy I was to see the beauty of these flowers.

"What are you doing here, Amber?" Ruby asked in a voice full of tenderness.

Without looking at Ruby, I answered in a soft voice, "I'm enjoying the beauty of these flowers. Earlier, I was supposed to come to your place, but these flowers just grabbed my attention."

Ruby laughed at my words which sounded funny to her ears. "That's really cool. Do you need anything, Amber?"

With a gentle voice but filled with deep pressure in my heart, I said, “I want to go to the beach.”

Ruby looked at me intently, trying to understand the desire radiating from my eyes. He nodded slowly, showing that he understood how important this wish was to me.

"Okay, Amber. We're going to the beach," said Ruby in a voice full of warmth.

My heart swelled with joy hearing those words. I felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders, and my enthusiasm seemed to be on fire again. With Ruby, I feel safe and comfortable. He is a true friend who always listens and understands.

We walked together towards the beach, enjoying every step we took on the soft sand. A gentle breeze greeted my face, bringing with it the fresh and calming scent of the sea. The rhythmic sound of the waves brings peace to our souls.

When we arrived at the beach, my eyes were stunned by the beauty of the panorama that lay before me. Clean white sand, clear blue sea water, and enchanting clear skies. I felt like I was connected to nature, to a power greater than myself.

Ruby and I sat on the beach, enjoying an unforgettable moment together. For a moment my eyes closed, enjoying the wind that hit my body just like that.

With a knowing smile, Ruby asked gently, "Is everything okay, Amber?" His voice sounded like a gentle touch that was able to understand every feeling I had today.

I was silent for a moment, letting his words sink into me. Then, with burning determination, I got up from my seat and walked towards the beach. Ruby quickly followed my steps, showing her genuine concern.

When he approached me, I could feel the positive energy vibrations emitted by his presence. A smirk was etched on my face, because I knew that Ruby was the person who would always be by my side, ready to support and protect me.

Without the slightest hesitation, I grabbed the beach water that was near me, and with agile movements, I splashed the water right on Ruby's face. For a moment, Ruby froze, surprised by my sudden action.

However, a big smile soon appeared on his face. He understood that my actions were a form of joy and freedom that I wanted to feel at that time. Together, we laughed and felt the joy flowing through us.

With unstoppable smiles, we both felt joy filling our hearts. Without hesitation, we started jogging along the beautiful beach, enjoying every moment we passed.

"Ruby, I really thank you," I said, stopping my steps for a moment. "You are always there for me, even in the most difficult moments."

Ruby smiled warmly and answered, "Of course, Amber. You are the best friend I could hope for. We always support and protect each other, right?"

I nodded gratefully. Our conversation was filled with laughter and jokes as if time had stopped for a moment to make room for our unwavering friendship.

We continued our adventure along the beach, running around freely and carefree. With every step we take, we feel irreplaceable happiness and freedom.

As the sun began to set over the horizon, we sat together on the fine sandy beach. I told each other about our dreams and hopes, describing a bright and happy future.

At times like this, I feel lucky to have Ruby as a true friend. Together, we create a beautiful and inspiring story, like a short story full of magic and joy.

We promise to continue to maintain our friendship, through all obstacles and challenges that may come our way. With Ruby, I know that I am never alone and that there is someone who is always there for me, ready to listen and strengthen me.

In the enchanting evening light, we both stood and embraced tightly. In that warm embrace, we felt the irreplaceable warmth of friendship.

Full of concern, Ruby asked again, "Amber... are you really okay?" His voice was full of warmth, reflecting his sincere concern. At that moment, I felt as if the world around me disappeared, and there were only the two of us there.

I turned my face to look at him, seeing his quizzical expression. Inwardly, I smiled to calm him down for a moment, even though I knew that my words probably wouldn't be enough to make him completely believe it.

However, Ruby didn't want to just give up. Firmly, he said, "Don't hide your feelings. If you feel like sharing or complaining, I will always be ready to listen. I want to be someone you can rely on."

the mix up in pronouns is very confusing and distracting

In the previous chapters Everette is a male, ergo the pronoun HE should be used consistently. While Ruby is a girl, and therefore SHE should be used to describe her gender

The use of pronouns describing either gender is confusing. SHE should be used for a girl, while HE connotes the male gender
