Amber's POV
He held my hand gently, inviting me to sit under a curved banana tree. I followed his steps with a relieved heart. We sat side by side, watching the waves get stronger and stronger. We were both silent for a moment, letting the sound of the waves breaking on the shore fill the silence between us. Every wave that comes and goes brings irreplaceable peace. It felt like the universe was speaking to us, reminding us of the unstoppable power of nature. "Ruby, I feel so tired of Nath's attitude towards me. Every time, he always manages to make my heart hurt and my mind disturbed. It feels like a never-ending torture. Tears just flow unstoppably, rolling me into uncontrollable weakness." I stroked my stomach which now contained his child, a gift of love that should bring happiness. However, why did he have to do this to me? That question kept ringing in my mind, creating confusion and destruction in a heart that should be full of happiness. In the silence that felt so heavy, I looked straight ahead, trying to find an answer that never came. However, beside me, Ruby held my hand gently. This touch gave a deep calm as if erasing every doubt and anxiety that existed. He is a true friend, someone who is always there for me, and I truly trust him with all my heart. "Ruby... how can I get through all this?" My voice sounded bitter. Ruby looked at me empathetically, her face filled with worry. He released her hand and gently answered, “Amber, I know how difficult this situation is for you. But believe me, you are not alone. I'm here for you, always.” Ruby's words flowed like fresh water watering my dry heart. It felt like there was a ray of hope emerging amidst the darkness that enveloped me. I feel a little stronger, and a little more ready to face the challenges ahead of me. "I know, difficult times like this are not easy to get through. But remember that you have the strength within you to get up and carry on. You are a strong woman, full of love and courage. Don't let Nath's attitude destroy your confidence," Ruby said with confidence. I listened to every word he said carefully. Every sentence gives me new enthusiasm and encouragement. It felt like a small fire was starting to burn inside me, reminding me that I should never give up."Thank you, Ruby," I said in a grateful voice. "I know, you always understand my feelings. You are such a strong and wise figure, and I am very grateful to have you by my side." Ruby let go of her hug and looked at me proudly. His face glowed with warmth and trust. "Amber, you are an extraordinary woman. I know how hard this situation is for you, but I am sure that you have incredible strength to face it. You are a strong and loving mother, and I have no doubt that you will stay strong for your child." Hearing Ruby's words, my heart felt so moved. It felt like there was a small fire burning inside me, giving me new enthusiasm and courage. I feel confident that I can overcome all these obstacles and be a strong mother to my child. "I promise, Ruby," I said with determination. "I will try my best to stay strong for my child." Ruby smiled proudly, a smile that radiated confidence and hope. "I'm always there for you. You don't have to feel alone. We will get through all of this together.” Without answering again. I immediately hugged him again. However, when I was very close to her, I could faintly hear Ruby's voice saying, "I'm sorry, Amber." I was confused. Tears suddenly fell onto my shoulders. "What's wrong, Ruby?" ~~~~ Feeling increasingly confused, I decided to let go of the tight hug. My gaze fell on Ruby, looking for an answer to the feeling of confusion that swept over me. In a curious tone, I immediately asked the question that was haunting my mind, "Sorry? Sorry for what you are sorry for?" Ruby just smiled, but her smile felt so strange and inappropriate to the situation. My gaze became more intense when I saw the expression on his face that looked like someone who felt guilty towards me. As time went on, the confusion within me grew. Why is my life always full of confusion like this? "Be honest, please tell me what you're really sorry for," I demanded with increasing anxiety. I couldn't ignore his attitude which was making me increasingly uneasy. Ruby shook her head once again, increasing the curiosity I felt. I didn't understand what he really wanted to convey to me in such a vague way. As time went on, the confusion within me made me more and more uncomfortable. I took a deep breath, trying to calm the anxiety that was present. A gentle breeze brushed my body, bringing a familiar scent to my senses. The scent was the scent of the veil Ruby was wearing. It felt so familiar as if it brought back long-buried memories. I was shocked when I smelled the aroma, which I had felt on Nath's body. An awkward feeling suddenly enveloped me, and I couldn't help but look at Ruby with a sharp gaze. "You didn't betray me, did you?" I hissed in a tone full of suspicion. Ruby looked surprised by my question. Her face reflected panic when I expressed my suspicions, further strengthening my belief that Ruby was involved in an affair with my husband, Nath. "Ah, no! Everyone uses the same perfume as I do," Ruby answered in a doubtful voice. "Impossible! The scent you wear is your own personal scent, there can't be many people out there who wear it!" I said with a look full of courage. In a situation like this, I feel completely broken. Friends who have accompanied me and given me happiness amidst the sadness that surrounds my life, have now become thorns that pierce my heart.Everett's POV Several weeks have passed, and for some reason, sometimes I remember several events on the day when I attended the appointment of a new Alpha in the Sky Moon Pack. Jennie, even I still remember her name. But that's not the most important thing. Amber's intoxicating scent was there. Unfortunately, the aroma disappeared there right before I saw Jennie's back which was facing away from me. The girl reminded me of a sweet figure who smiled gently at me. Stroking her hair, caressing her lips, hugging her, and giving her warmth and calm from her scent. I ruffled her hair in frustration. Silently I went towards the Sky Moon Pack. I don't know what was going through my mind, but I just wanted to make sure. Why is that scent there? Will I find the figure I've always been waiting for? I don't understand. What I want is clarity on all the things that really give me a headache. The Sky Moon Pack warriors bowed their heads in respect as soon as I passed in front of th
Author's POV Everett took Amber to her dream place. Everett put Amber on green grass with beautiful flowers decorating it. A very beautiful grass field. The sun began to rise and gave a very stunning yellow color. Everett cried seeing Amber who was not beating anymore. His soulmate had disappeared. His soulmate is gone forever. Grief brought Everett deep regret and unable to forgive himself. “I'm sorry for making you have to experience something sad like this. There are many things I want to say to you. Really, but I thought you wanted us to meet in a more beautiful place than this world. Amber, I'll follow you," Everett said desperately and took out the small knife he had in his pocket. Everett raised the knife towards the sunlight which refracted it and hit Amber in the face. The stiff body began to feel warm. Amber's heart, which had stopped, started beating again. Everett was shocked and didn't expect Amber to breathe again. "Leave her here, I'll take her and recov
Author's POV On the other hand, Hans and his troops arrived to take over the leadership of Everett who was helping Amber. Hans, who had long wanted to avenge Nash's cruelty and wanted to end Nash's civilization, chose to attack Nash's troops who had been around to protect the palace and Nash. "Mr. Everett, I know that you really love Amber. I will let you save your world. And now let me save my world and all the packs that have been destroyed because of Nash!" said Hans. But suddenly Hans appeared and led Nash's troops to fight Everett's troops. “Retreat if you don't want this to be your last day seeing the world!” shouted Hans angrily. He was sent by Nash to block the rebels who wanted to destroy his palace. But Hans was not afraid, he instead showed his scary face. "Attack!" shouted Hans and started the war. Hans hit the ground hard. The healing is slow but continues to work. Unfortunately, other warriors were not as lucky. The warriors began to fall, one by one dyi
Author's POV The orange sky was turning reddish with white clouds scattered around. The sun has long since moved from its throne and is now preparing to fall asleep to welcome the night. The barren land of the Dark Land dominated by dusty grains of sand felt slightly trembling. The reason is that a large army joined by many packs is present, preparing to start the battle. Everett was ready with various barriers to prepare for the worst. They fought in wolf form but it is possible that they also carried small weapons which might be useful in times of urgency. The palace of darkness that stood firmly in the barren land of the Dark Land came into view. Hundreds of figures in black robes appeared to surround the palace with a dense, unbearable aura. Thousands of warriors lined up neatly in their armor. Not to forget, the Alphas from various packs who joined Everett were also ready for war. They continued walking until finally, they saw a towering castle. The horror impression
Amber's POV Darkness is my friend. The narrow room that was dark, stuffy, and damp was my shelter from now on. No more mercy for me. I couldn't even sit down and rest to recover from my wounds. I was chained in a standing position. After being whipped and beaten, I was left in a rusty cell with dirt as a floor. The fishy aroma of my blood could still be smelled several meters from the cell. A very sad and despicable situation for anyone who sees it. My closed eyes suddenly opened. I roared. With the rest of my strength, I tried to remove the shackles of the silver chain on my body. However, the sound of the chains rattling actually provoked several guards who immediately whipped and beat me until I fainted so that the prison would return to silence. Ruby's black heels tapped softly on the cold floor of the dungeon. The fishy smell of blood and damp air immediately greeted Ruby's arrival, glancing cynically before walking towards the cell that was her goal in coming to th
Everett's POV It's been a few days since my focus started to wander. Thinking that Amber was kidnapped by Nash, but in reality, it wasn't. I didn't find any Amber there at all, in fact, I only found remnants of Amber in her previous room which had not changed at all. I don't understand why Nash still has Amber's things like that. I was really annoyed and angry because I couldn't find Amber. There was no trace of Amber's presence there. I thought that Nash would cover up his crime of kidnapping Amber. But I could see his overreaction. Nash looked very surprised and actually blamed me for not being able to find Amber. That day I broke into his palace with a limited number of warriors. I could have killed Nash straight away and taken over the palace right then and there. But I felt very uneasy and was more worried about Amber. I'm afraid that someone more evil and cruel than Nash has kidnapped Amber. This will make me really blame myself for not being able to look after Amb
