Amber's POV
"You misunderstand!" he stressed. His eyes flashed with anger, as if afraid that all his rot would be exposed before me. Disappointment and anger filled my heart when I heard Ruby's assertion that I had misunderstood. However, I couldn't let myself continue to sink into the darkness created by this affair. "Listen carefully, Ruby. I won't let your rot remain hidden. I will reveal everything that exists if you are involved in an affair with Nath," I said in a voice full of determination. Ruby looked surprised and worried. He tried to cover his fear with a fake smile. However, I could see the anxiety radiating from his eyes. "What do you mean? I don't know what you're talking about," he said in a shaky voice."I already have enough evidence, Ruby. So, don't pretend anymore. I know everything," I said firmly. Ruby was silent for a moment, trying to find the right words to defuse the situation. However, the silence only made me more certain that my suspicions were correct. "I... I'm sorry if there was a misunderstanding. I never played behind Nath's back, you have to trust me," said Ruby in a tone full of fear. However, his words were unable to calm my anger. I felt betrayed by a friend whom I always considered close. My trust has been shattered into pieces. "No, Ruby. I can no longer trust you. You have betrayed our friendship and ruined my life. I don't want to see you again," I said in a voice full of despair. My words made Ruby speechless, and the anger radiating from her eyes made me even more convinced of the truth I was revealing. The two of us faced each other, with broken feelings and a torn friendship. "Listen to me, Amber! I do things like this for good reasons too! You know, right, I would never do something unimportant if it didn't benefit myself?" Ruby said with words that made me even more trapped in her hearing. Actually, what does Ruby want to do? Isn't her husband famous for his handsomeness and wisdom in leading? Even a friend of mine can lose a long-standing relationship because of the changes that happen to him. "What? Tell me, Ruby! Tell me! You're saying it's profitable? Profitable in what way? Explain to me!" My scream hit him straight in the face. Ruby immediately looked away, as if she didn't want to see me with increasingly high emotions. Even though this was all because of his actions. Ruby looked at me with eyes full of anger. "You'll never understand, Amber! You only see one side! I'm doing this to protect myself, to get what is rightfully mine!" his voice echoed in the room, depicting despair and intense desire. We both stared at each other, trapped in tense silence. The atmosphere in the room grew hotter as if the fire of our anger was burning between us. Strong emotions collide, creating tension that is difficult to decipher. "Protect? Mine? Is that what you said?" I babbled in a shaky voice, my body shaking as I rose from my seat. My sad gaze was directed at him, reflecting my heart breaking into pieces. It hurts so much pain. "From the start, I was too naive to share my problems with Nath, with you!" I said again, my voice choked with deep sadness. My eyes started to water, and suddenly I was just tired. I couldn't hold back the tears anymore, they flowed endlessly. "But why me, Ruby? Why did you betray me?" I can no longer bury the increasingly overflowing emotions. I squatted on the floor, letting my tears flow freely. My face was covered, trying to express all my pain and disappointment. Full of emotion, I uttered, "You're mean, Ruby!" He responded firmly, "Yes, I was mean to you! I was very mean, Amber! All of this was your fault! But, I did all this because there was something I couldn't tell you!" Unexpectedly, tears began to flow from Ruby's eyes. Their friendship was so closely tied that both of their eyes were streaming with tears. I raised my head, looking at Ruby with hatred radiating from my face. My heart is full of anger that is difficult to contain. However, even though I stood straight, trying to hold it all in, the words I wanted to say could no longer be held back and came out full of anger. "You really deserve to be a concubine in the palace, don't you? Betraying friendship and taking someone's husband just for your personal satisfaction. You are indeed a cheap woman," I sneered sarcastically. Even though the words came out of my mouth, there was a tightness in my chest after saying them to my best friend. Ruby looked at me with burning eyes, filled with overwhelming anger. Without hesitation, he swung his hand and slapped me hard in the face, making my head sway to the right side. Pain shot through my cheek, but I laughed bitterly as I said, "A slap is nothing, Ruby. My heart is too broken and I can no longer feel the pain!”In my bitter laughter, there was hidden pain behind it. My heart is broken and hurt by the friendship that has been torn apart. I realized that harsh words and cruel actions would not change anything. Only destruction and loss were left behind. Supposedly, I shouldn't have said those words. I have lied to myself again with untrue words. I tried to hide the deep wounds in my heart by lying to everyone. However, Ruby firmly interrupted my words with a voice full of strength. "Shut up!" he shouted in a voice that radiated courage. "You don't know anything about me! You don't know what I'm facing or the reasons behind my decisions! Don't you dare insult and belittle me!" Ruby's screaming voice filled the room with incredible power, reflecting how angry she was at that moment. I felt such strong emotional vibrations as if my words had touched a very sensitive point in his life.Amber's POV In the sound of Ruby scream, there was a sense of strength and courage that shook the room, shaking the hearts of everyone who heard it. "I really don't know anything about you!" I exclaimed in a voice full of despair. "But that doesn't mean you end up being my husband's mistress! I always complain, making you the most comfortable place for me. However, in reality, you end up playing behind my back! You say I have to be strong and get up. But, in fact, it's you who makes me feel as broken as This. You stole everything, Ruby! Your attitude stole our friendship, and you also snatched your best friend's husband! I feel very disappointed! You really deserve to be called a cheap woman!!" These words were spoken full of deep emotion and disappointment. I felt a heavy weight in my heart because I knew that those words might have hurt Ruby's feelings. However, in such a tense and emotional state, I couldn't help but express my deep feelings. Ruby looked at me with a gaz
Amber's POV However, even though the pain struck, I didn't want to just give up. I want to move forward, facing all this with the remaining courage. My eyes glanced at the gazebo that stood firmly on the beach. The evening sun shines through the clouds, creating a beautiful atmosphere. Even though it wasn't too far from where I was, it felt like a big challenge to get there. However, I knew that I had to move on, even with shaky feet. With a pounding heart, I took the first step. Every step felt heavy as if gravity was trying to pull me down. However, I stroked my stomach which felt very painful, trying to provide support to myself. I repeatedly said enthusiastic words, "Cheer up, you can do it!" Even though pain still surrounded my every movement, I didn't want to give in to despair. I know that behind this darkness, there is a small ray of hope waiting. I want to achieve it, I want to prove to myself that I can get through all of this. With steps that sometimes stop, an
Nash's POV In the corner of this lively room, the joyful sounds of dancing floated beautifully. The servants were moving swiftly and the people in this room looked very enthusiastic. Joyful laughter and overflowing fun filled the air, creating an atmosphere that was lively and full of joy. Not only that, the music playing with enthusiastic intonations managed to arouse enthusiasm and excitement within them. The energetic musical accompaniment makes them lost in the mesmerizing music as if forgetting all their worries and burdens. At that moment, amidst the din that filled the room, the ears of those who were sitting quietly were graced by the soft voice of a woman. The voice caressed my ears with gentleness, as if calming my heart which was feeling joy. "Hi, Nash..." the woman's voice sounded full of happiness. My gaze immediately fell on her, and in my eyes flashed unspeakable joy. I felt so happy, without thinking about anything other than the beautiful moment my was exper
Nash's POV Finally, the time came for Angela to come down and decide to go home. We said goodbye to each other with warm smiles, but in my heart, I felt a little missing her presence. After Angela left, I continued my journey at a fast pace. I felt rushed to get to my final destination. Within a few minutes, I arrived at the magnificent palace. The servants who had been waiting at the entrance politely opened it for me. With a haughty face, I stepped into the palace, feeling as if I were a king ruling there. My main goal is to go to my private room. I want to see where Amber is. With mixed feelings surrounding my heart, I walked with gallant steps through the beautiful and majestic halls of the palace. Every step I take feels like a journey towards infinite happiness. With a gasp, I shouted loudly, "Amber!" My voice filled the entire room, reflecting the anxiety that was surging through my heart. However, no answer was heard from behind Amber's bedroom door. Without he
Nash's POV But no one moved, no one dared to open their mouths. I feel like I'm trapped in an endless maze of lies. I felt insulted, and betrayed by those who should have been by my side.In the depths of despair, I took a deep breath. "Okay, if no one answers, I will look for Amber myself. However, I will fire all of you and give you punishment!" I said in a voice full of threats. They suddenly startled and looked up, looking at me with a mixture of surprise and worry. In my footsteps filled with annoyance that hit, I firmly intended to go and fire them all. However, before doing so, I felt that they should feel the suffering commensurate with their betrayal. Suddenly, a servant standing at the far right of the room called me in a voice full of anxiety, "Sir... I saw her." Her words stopped my steps which were heading towards the exit. I turned around slowly, looking at the maid with a look that was hard to describe. My eyes radiated a sharp light, radiating intense desp
Amber's POV It was getting dark when I realized my legs were no longer strong enough to carry me walking. My tears were dry because I kept crying all the way. I didn't know which way to go home and only focused on my very hurt feelings. I tried to push away all these painful thoughts, but my heart couldn't be lied to. The suffocating heat in my chest made my stomach start to hurt. I endured it and continued in my footsteps. I tried to drag him so he could go home faster. The night wind was blowing very hard, my body, which had been soaking wet, was now cold and starting to shiver. My head felt very heavy and dizzy, even my vision started to blur. My body was weak and unable to hold on any longer. However, it wasn't my body ache that made me feel tormented. But my heart is still reminded of the reality that I know today. Betrayal from my best friend, Ruby. Her cruel treatment made me continue to feel hurt. Tears flowed down my cheeks again. It makes it difficult for my eyes to see
Nash's POV I was shocked to hear what the doctor just said. It felt like the world stopped turning. The anger that I had been holding in for a long time now started to roar and wanted to overflow again. I was very upset and angry hearing what had just happened. I don't care about Amber's condition, I don't even want to know how Amber could be in the middle of the road unconscious. She even experienced bleeding which made me lose my heir. Yes, I'm angry because I had to lose my only heir. The thing that makes me still keep Amber by my side, is because she is pregnant with my child. The heir who will be my future hope. I can't believe that Amber is so careless and not careful in protecting her womb. I stared full of anger and hatred at Amber who was still lying unconscious. Should I kill her for killing my heir? Should I bring her back to life and see me so disappointed because I lost my child? I can't, I can't think long. The surging anger made me really want to kill Amb
Amber's POV My eyes opened and looked at the ceiling. I still feel weak and helpless. The shock of losing my baby began to consume me. I opened the blanket and looked at my stomach, I touched it slowly. My tears broke into silence. Can't believe everything that happened, I feel very guilty and regret everything. Why is all this happening to me? Why does my life have to suffer like this? As if I was born to suffer. Having a husband who never loved me at all. Who only uses me for his interests. A friend who even stabbed me in the back. Is my life really meaningless? Have they never been sincere to me at all? Must they do evil like this? I cried bitterly at the loss of my baby. The only hope in my life. Hope that makes me feel happy. Even though it's only a small happiness, I feel alive. A servant came when he heard the sound of my crying. The waiter brought a tray containing a glass of milk and warm porridge. I can still see the smoke above the porridge that had ju
Everett's POV Several weeks have passed, and for some reason, sometimes I remember several events on the day when I attended the appointment of a new Alpha in the Sky Moon Pack. Jennie, even I still remember her name. But that's not the most important thing. Amber's intoxicating scent was there. Unfortunately, the aroma disappeared there right before I saw Jennie's back which was facing away from me. The girl reminded me of a sweet figure who smiled gently at me. Stroking her hair, caressing her lips, hugging her, and giving her warmth and calm from her scent. I ruffled her hair in frustration. Silently I went towards the Sky Moon Pack. I don't know what was going through my mind, but I just wanted to make sure. Why is that scent there? Will I find the figure I've always been waiting for? I don't understand. What I want is clarity on all the things that really give me a headache. The Sky Moon Pack warriors bowed their heads in respect as soon as I passed in front of th
Author's POV Everett took Amber to her dream place. Everett put Amber on green grass with beautiful flowers decorating it. A very beautiful grass field. The sun began to rise and gave a very stunning yellow color. Everett cried seeing Amber who was not beating anymore. His soulmate had disappeared. His soulmate is gone forever. Grief brought Everett deep regret and unable to forgive himself. “I'm sorry for making you have to experience something sad like this. There are many things I want to say to you. Really, but I thought you wanted us to meet in a more beautiful place than this world. Amber, I'll follow you," Everett said desperately and took out the small knife he had in his pocket. Everett raised the knife towards the sunlight which refracted it and hit Amber in the face. The stiff body began to feel warm. Amber's heart, which had stopped, started beating again. Everett was shocked and didn't expect Amber to breathe again. "Leave her here, I'll take her and recov
Author's POV On the other hand, Hans and his troops arrived to take over the leadership of Everett who was helping Amber. Hans, who had long wanted to avenge Nash's cruelty and wanted to end Nash's civilization, chose to attack Nash's troops who had been around to protect the palace and Nash. "Mr. Everett, I know that you really love Amber. I will let you save your world. And now let me save my world and all the packs that have been destroyed because of Nash!" said Hans. But suddenly Hans appeared and led Nash's troops to fight Everett's troops. “Retreat if you don't want this to be your last day seeing the world!” shouted Hans angrily. He was sent by Nash to block the rebels who wanted to destroy his palace. But Hans was not afraid, he instead showed his scary face. "Attack!" shouted Hans and started the war. Hans hit the ground hard. The healing is slow but continues to work. Unfortunately, other warriors were not as lucky. The warriors began to fall, one by one dyi
Author's POV The orange sky was turning reddish with white clouds scattered around. The sun has long since moved from its throne and is now preparing to fall asleep to welcome the night. The barren land of the Dark Land dominated by dusty grains of sand felt slightly trembling. The reason is that a large army joined by many packs is present, preparing to start the battle. Everett was ready with various barriers to prepare for the worst. They fought in wolf form but it is possible that they also carried small weapons which might be useful in times of urgency. The palace of darkness that stood firmly in the barren land of the Dark Land came into view. Hundreds of figures in black robes appeared to surround the palace with a dense, unbearable aura. Thousands of warriors lined up neatly in their armor. Not to forget, the Alphas from various packs who joined Everett were also ready for war. They continued walking until finally, they saw a towering castle. The horror impression
Amber's POV Darkness is my friend. The narrow room that was dark, stuffy, and damp was my shelter from now on. No more mercy for me. I couldn't even sit down and rest to recover from my wounds. I was chained in a standing position. After being whipped and beaten, I was left in a rusty cell with dirt as a floor. The fishy aroma of my blood could still be smelled several meters from the cell. A very sad and despicable situation for anyone who sees it. My closed eyes suddenly opened. I roared. With the rest of my strength, I tried to remove the shackles of the silver chain on my body. However, the sound of the chains rattling actually provoked several guards who immediately whipped and beat me until I fainted so that the prison would return to silence. Ruby's black heels tapped softly on the cold floor of the dungeon. The fishy smell of blood and damp air immediately greeted Ruby's arrival, glancing cynically before walking towards the cell that was her goal in coming to th
Everett's POV It's been a few days since my focus started to wander. Thinking that Amber was kidnapped by Nash, but in reality, it wasn't. I didn't find any Amber there at all, in fact, I only found remnants of Amber in her previous room which had not changed at all. I don't understand why Nash still has Amber's things like that. I was really annoyed and angry because I couldn't find Amber. There was no trace of Amber's presence there. I thought that Nash would cover up his crime of kidnapping Amber. But I could see his overreaction. Nash looked very surprised and actually blamed me for not being able to find Amber. That day I broke into his palace with a limited number of warriors. I could have killed Nash straight away and taken over the palace right then and there. But I felt very uneasy and was more worried about Amber. I'm afraid that someone more evil and cruel than Nash has kidnapped Amber. This will make me really blame myself for not being able to look after Amb
Amber's POV I woke up in the middle of a room filled with horrible ornaments. This room is identical to the colors black and red. There are no windows here, the dim lights only add to the eerie impression of this room. I was really annoyed and angry at Ruby who had trapped me with that man named David. I didn't expect to meet them like this. Even Ruby had to kidnap me like this, what really happened in the palace? I know that Ruby really wants my position, but I never heard of her coronation as queen. Had Nash thrown it away? But why? Isn't Ruby the woman of his dreams? Ah, I felt incredible fear, hearing about the torture Khanza experienced by Ruby made me start to get goosebumps. What will happen to me now? I know that Ruby is a fox in sheep's clothing. She was so cunning that I didn't realize that Ruby had stabbed me in the back. I still remember clearly how hurt and hurt I was when I found out that Nash was having an affair but still wanted to be served. How painfu
Nash's POV Without realizing it, Sarah's tears just fell. My life story turns out to be not as sweet as I always show. So dark and painful. And only to Sarah can I say everything. "Didn't I tell you that when you cry you're ugly?" tease so that Sarah stops crying. Maybe in the past, I always cursed the damn fate I had, but things are different now. I wiped the tears from Sarah's cheeks. My heart warmed to find Sarah who cared about me. "You're so poor," said Sarah, which only made her tears fall even harder. Imagining how painful my life was made Sarah really couldn't bear it and felt very sorry. Sarah's crying became more intense and it actually made her look like a child who had lost her candy. Seeing that made me hold back my laughter. Sarah's crying wouldn't stop and it would only make me laugh out loud seeing how ridiculous Sarah was. I immediately pressed my lips to Sarah's lips. Not a kiss, just a sweet kiss. Succeed! Sarah's crying immediately stopped and she
Sarah's POV On the balcony where I am now, I am looking at the beautiful view of this palace. It's really beautiful and spacious. I even widened my smile if this palace would really be mine. I can't wait for Nash to make me his queen, and father's plans finally begin. However, suddenly someone hugged me from behind, interrupting my thoughts. I knew it was Nash. I turned around and Nash immediately kissed me for quite a long time. "Don't be like this, what if someone sees?" I said stopping Nash's kiss and making him a little disappointed. “So what if someone sees? They won't dare talk about you.” "What do you mean? They still talk about me as your mistress.” “Not from now on.” "Why can?" "Because you are my queen," said Nash very seriously. "What?" I looked at Nash confused. Is this another of his jokes? "How do I convince you?" Nash sighed and seemed to be thinking about something. "Are you serious, Nash?" I looked at him probingly. "Ahh right!" Nash took some
