Chapter 3

That afternoon, Olivia and her boss Liam rushed to a cafe where they were going to have a meeting with Mr. Sam.

Sam is one of Liam's best friends, their company has been working together for a long time, Sam is also an Alpha, but they are from a different pack. Usually Alpha only befriends other Alphas in his pack, but not with Liam and Sam.

They look very close, unlike other Alphas who compete in business and life, they support each other instead.

Liam and Olivia arrived at the cafe and immediately approached Sam who was sitting alone. Liam knows it's not the meeting they had imagined. Liam sat down and greeted his best friend, as well as Olivia. She sits beside Liam and greets Sam.

"I thought you came alone, if I knew you brought your secretary I would also bring mine" Sam said.

"If you have something important you want to talk about, I can move sir" Olivia said.

"Ohh no, don't call me sir, we're not at the office or discussing work matters, so just call me Sam and you don't have to move" Sam said.

It was the first time for Olivia to hang out with her boss and boss's friends, it felt very strange to be there. She just silently watched what they were talking about without knowing what they were discussing.

"Olivia why are you just quiet? You can join in if you want" Sam says and Liam just looks at her from the side.

"Oh no, I don't know what you guys are talking about" Olivia said, she was actually bored being there, she didn't know why her boss asked her to go there with him, it was annoying.

"You know Billy right? He finally wants to work with my company, I thought he would be that stubborn to keep doing it himself" Liam said, Billy's name caught Olivia's attention. She was getting interested to hear what they were talking about.

"That man is annoying, he feels his company can run alone without anyone's help, so selfish" Sam said.

"Does he have a mate?" Olivia's words made Sam and Liam turn towards her.

"Why do you ask that?" Liam said.

"Ah nothing"

"Yes, he already has a mate, he met his Luna at a bar, it seems they have been together for two years" Sam said.

"What is it?" Liam said.

"No, I just remembered someone I met when I met him at the meeting this morning. His scent is similar to my best friend who went missing two years ago" Olivia said.

"What does that mean?" Sam said.

"I also don't know how that happened, but I'm sure it's my best friend's scent"

"Is your best friend named Lea?" Liam said.

"Yes, you know her?"

"Yes, she's Billy's mate, but how can her scent be on Billy's body? That shouldn't have happened"

"Oh thank goodness she's living happily now, I don't know but Billy's face also seems familiar to me, I seem to have seen him somewhere but I forgot" Olivia said.

"Maybe it was just a dream" Sam said and Olivia widened her eyes, she remembered. Billy is a person who always appears in her dreams, yes that's true.

"Oh god..." Olivia mumbled.

"What is it?" Liam said.

"What if I always dream of that man in my sleep that means he is my mate?" Olivia said Sam and Liam just looked at each other.

Olivia was just silent in the car, she looked out the window, they had to go back to the office and continue their work. During her time as a secretary, Olivia never came home on time again, she was always working overtime waiting for her boss.

"Are you still thinking about your friend?" Liam said.

"If he really is my mate why did he get to be with Lea?" Olivia said.

"Olivia, we don't know how they met and what they felt when they were together, maybe they fell in love"

"I know, but how can he mark someone who isn't his mate? You're an Alpha, is that even possible? Love can make you do that?" Olivia said.

"Alpha can indeed relate to anyone, because he is the strongest among the others, but to mark his mate is not something he can do casually. An Alpha is just crazy and becomes addicted to the scent of his mate. He can't mark someone who doesn't make him feel that way. Maybe you two are his mate, you know there are some Alphas who have two mate at once" Liam said.

"Is it because she always wears my clothes?" Olivia said.

"What do you mean?"

"When we live together, we change clothes a lot, she does it more often, she wears my clothes a lot, maybe our scents mix and make it hard for Alpha to find the difference, if Billy is my mate, that means he met the wrong Luna" Olivia said.

"Is that possible? I've never heard of swapping scents like you said, but on second thought it might make sense. Lea claimed herself as you in order to become her mate" Liam says.

"Does that mean we'll also exchange mate? If so, how do I find her mate?" Olivia said.

It was like a nightmare for Olivia, that's why she felt sick after Lea disappeared, she guessed right then, her body was getting weaker because the Alpha she had been waiting for thought he had found his Luna. Though the person he found was another girl using her scent.

Olivia remembered, she always told about the dream, she explained clearly the face of the man in her dreams, handsome as she expected. What is it that makes Lea continue to wear her clothes so that Lea can meet someone in Olivia's dream and become her mate.

It's not easy for Olivia to accept everything, her mind is struggling with her own feelings, if what she thinks about Lea is true, she really will hate the girl but if it's true that they are together because of love maybe Olivia has to let it go, because no matter how Olivia tries to getting his mate back would be a waste.

Maybe this is the end of their friendship, the end of their happy story every night. Two years ago the last night before she disappeared, maybe it was the last night she laughed at her voice. Maybe it would have been different if they had met again after Olivia had found out everything.
