Chapter 5

After coming back from dinner, Liam invites Olivia to his room, he wants to show some things related to tomorrow's meeting, Liam doesn't mind if he has to bring his secretary into his room, it's just work business.

But when they come in the room and Liam tells Olivia to sit on the couch. Olivia was silent for a moment. She doesn't know what happened to her at that time, but she feels that the vanilla scent continues to follow Liam.

"Liam" Olivia said.

"Yes" He was on his laptop, not far from where Olivia sat.

"Did you smell anything?" Olivia said and Liam turned to her.

"What? Wait, I'm going to the bathroom first" Liam said and went to the bathroom.

Olivia is sure it smells the same as the one she smelled in Liam's office. They often met, even sat next to each other but Olivia had never felt such a strong scent.

Not long after Liam came out and approached Olivia, he sat beside Olivia with his laptop. Olivia, who was still confused by the vanilla scent, kept watching Liam.

"Olivia, there are some materials that you should change, we should focus more on discussing the--" Liam turned his head and saw Olivia who was closing her eyes.

"Olivia, what's wrong with you?" Liam said and slowly Olivia opened her eyes. Unusual eyes. Shining blue eyes.

"Liam, I don't know what happened to me but.. this scent is too strong for me, I.. I'm sorry, I think I have to go" Olivia left the room.

She walks to her own room, her heart is beating really fast, she doesn't know what's going on with her, but staying in that room with Liam makes her drunk.

She entered her room and plopped down on the bed.

"What is wrong with me?" Olivia muttered.

Slowly her eyes returned to normal, the vanilla scent faded, if what Emma said was true, why didn't Liam show anything when he was near Olivia? As an Alpha he should show his sensitive side more, he should know better than Olivia, his smell should have detected Lunanya's presence. But why does Liam look normal around Olivia.

After Olivia finished taking a shower, she saw an incoming message on her phone, it was Liam.

From Liam :

Are you ready?"

From Olivia :

I'm almost ready

From Liam :

I'll be waiting for you in the lobby

From Olivia :

Okay, thank you

Olivia stood facing the mirror, she was still thinking about what happened to her last night in Liam's room. Why did that scent keep bothering her?

After 20 minutes of waiting, Olivia finally came down and met Liam, Sam and Ava in the lobby.

"I'm sorry I'm late" Olivia said, she stood beside Liam.

"It's okay" Liam just smiled at her but Olivia ignored the smile. They went to the meeting place together.

Olivia and Liam were in the same car, Olivia sat beside Liam, not only the two of them but the driver in front of her.

"Olivia, I've made new materials for today's meeting, you can read them before the meeting starts, there are some things that I removed from the materials you created, that's because I want us to only focus on the construction section" Liam said.

"Yes, I'm sorry I should have worked on this material last night"

"It's okay, but don't be like that again, you have to be professional when it comes to work" Liam said and Olivia just nodded.

When they arrived at the meeting place, Liam and Olivia immediately entered and headed for the meeting room. There were already a lot of people there, but Olivia and Liam didn't go straight in because they still had time to check the materials, outside the room there were also several people including Billy and someone she knew. That's right, it's Lea. She sat beside Billy at that time.

"Olivia" Liam said, he saw where Olivia's gaze was when he called her, it was towards Billy and his Luna.

"Hey, Olivia, just focus" Liam pats Olivia on the shoulder, bringing her back to earth.

"Yes, I'm sorry sir" Olivia said.

"Is that your friend?" Liam said and Olivia just nodded.

Without saying anything, Liam immediately changed his position, he stood in front of Olivia, blocking Olivia's view.

"Don't pay attention to her, we need to focus on today's meeting, you can see after the meeting is over" Liam says.

"Olivia you've said that many times and it's not what I want to hear" Liam says.

In the middle of the meeting, Olivia asked permission to leave the room because she had to go to the toilet, she left and was quite surprised when she met Lea in the toilet.

Olivia could clearly see how Lea looked at that time, an expensive dress with some jewelery on her body, that was what Lea had always wanted.

"I'm at work, how about you? Where have you been all this time? Looks like you've found your Alpha" the bite marks on Lea's neck were clearly visible.

"Olivia, I'm sorry, I didn't tell you I met my Alpha, it was too soon and--"

"And you stole my Alpha" Olivia said.

Alright I don't have to hide anything from you anymore, yes you are right, Billy is your Alpha he thought I was you back then, he was crazy about my scent but when I put on my clothes, he's like everyone else, i realized he's not my Alpha, then i went to him with your clothes on me and yes, he went crazy because of me, he even bit me right then and there, i think he's obsessed with your scent Olivia" Lea said.

"Why? You are my best friend Lea! Why did you do that to me?"

"Do what? After he bit me, I told him the truth, I am not his Luna, but he had no other choice because he marked me, day by day he fell more and more in love with me and forgot about his Luna, he forgot about you and still sees me as his mate even though I only others"

"You know what? I almost died Lea! It's all because of you! You betrayed me! He's my mate, he's my Alpha! Why are you doing all this?"

"That's because I envy with you! You always dream of your Alpha every time you sleep, you know that person exists in this world, he exists and you know! But I never dreamed anything about my Alpha, I don't know if he is still alive or dead! I don't know he exists! or not in this world! I don't want to die without my mate Olivia, I don't want to die alone!" Lea said.

Those words shattered Olivia's feelings, she wasn't the friend Olivia had been thinking about. Lea disappointed her and betrayed Olivia knowingly, even deliberately doing it all for herself.
