CHAPTER 3.
I looked as the door pushed open. to find Alexander Kieran, Vivian Quinn, the new Luna standing outside the door, their hands reaching out to caress each other, their mouths pressed into a kiss. My palms trembled. "Oh my... You're really quite beautiful." Interspersed with their kiss, Alexander Remarked. I sat still. I was completely unable to process what I was witnessing. It stunned me. Alexander's level of passion surprised me. He had never been this eager in bed in the five years I was married to him. The pair paused to look at me, and I gripped the paper hard. Then they went back to each other to carry on their act, as if I was no one at all. As I watched them, my wolf howled in despair for the hundredth time today, and my insides twisted in searing agony. "Yes love, right there..." Alexander Groaned and Vivian Groaned as he started licking her neck down to her thigh. Vivian Grinned at me as she twisted her face to face me. "Let's do it here, baby..." Alexander Groaned as she said, "Yes, yes, my love, anywhere." The idea that they would have sex in front of me after making me seem bad in front of everyone in the great hall astonished and then horrified me. I was unable to comprehend. I was baffled as to what I had done to earn Vivian intense dislike. For them to detest me that much, both of them? How could I have hurt them? I had given them so much. Because the costs were too exorbitant, I had assisted Vivian During her time at our prestigious institution. I had even provided her with the startup funds. However, what about Alexander? I had given him all that was rightfully mine. even going so far as to burn for him in the flames. But that was all I could get. Vivian Let out a loud groan as they collapsed into the spacious bed that was still covered in the plush velvet that I had painstakingly styled for our anniversary celebration. All I could do was watch as Alexander stripped Vivian off of her clothes on our own wedding bed and how he carried her away as her groans filled the space. I held back from crying. Even though Alexander was taking Vivian In bed with a fury I had never seen in him, and he was moaning, I couldn't help but cry at this ultimate humiliation. I was unable to walk, thus I was unable to go. I was unable to talk, therefore I was also powerless to object. I was in my own bed, forced to listen to their murmurs. where our personal relationship had occurred. The dirty picture of him and Vivian had taken the place of my memories of us lying on that bed. I remained still while howling like a wolf and sobbing until the sound was intolerable. I picked up the broken mirror fragment from the floor and held it in my palm out of fury. I watched the blood pour from the wound as I ran them across my wrists, and I also watched as my tears fell on the cut and mixed with the blood. I kept dragging the rough edge of the mirror over my hands until I was only able to feel the pain from my cut, shielding me from the agony that threatened to overwhelm me. Next, I silently observed as the wound gradually concealed itself, with tissue enveloping bone and skin encasing tissue. There was stillness in the room for what seemed like an eternity, followed by the pair in bed letting out mixed noises. I stood there looking at my severed wrists. "Honey, what should we do about the mute idiot?" My body stiffened at Vivian's question. No doubt, they were talking about me. "Anything you want, love, tell me what you want to be done?" In response, Alexander said in a sickeningly sweet tone. "I want her to be gone for good now that I am Luna. I can't take any chances and let her disrupt our plans." Vivian answered, and I shook my head in shock and horror as I shook and waited for Alexander to respond. "Done. whatever you want, my love." I knew then that I was done when Alexander answered. Revolting mess that I was, I shivered, hands flying to clutch my tummy. It made little difference if I died or not at this point. My baby wasn't better off dead, but I was. He or she was entitled to life and all of its experiences. I wished not to pass away. Unless, that is, I hadn't given birth to my child yet. I wrapped the pregnancy test findings in my palms and handed them to him. However, I was abruptly lifted off the ground. I made an effort to break free from their hold, but they were simply too powerful. "Don't move." When Alexander Uttered it to my ear, my heart froze. I'd been waiting for him to touch me of his own volition, but not in this way. Not after he'd so brutally admitted that he was prepared to let go of me in favor of Vivian. Vivian and Alexander wrapped me up in the car. "Take us to the Lavida Waters." Alexander Addressed the driver. Lavida Waters... Out of the Lavida bundle, that was my favorite location. I had a deep affinity for the ocean. When my mother was still living, that was her go-to spot, and it eventually became my favorite spot as well. Before the disaster, I had gone there at least three times in a month. Alexander was leading me to the water, but why? Which was my favorite place? What was happening? Even though I doubt they would have responded, by now I would have been yelling for answers if I could talk. The vehicle was silent, and it stopped after what felt like an hour of driving. I gripped the paper tightly to keep it from falling as I was dragged violently out of the car. When we reached the lake, I was at last let go. I gazed at them after staring at the lake. How come they brought me here? Vivian Grinned as if she could read my query. "I'm sure in that mute head of yours, You want to know why we brought you here, right?" Twirling her hair between her fingers, she posed the question. I just gazed at her without responding, my wrath burning brightly within. Abruptly, she started laughing. "To kill you." With something blazing in her eyes, she spoke. Numb, I shook my head. Why would they want my death? What wrong have I done? "Wanna know why?" She looked at Alexander and inquired. She went on without waiting for me to nod or not. "Lyra, allow me to tell you a story. There once were two girls—or, more accurately, two pals. One had somewhat ordinary features, unremarkable brown eyes, and basic black hair. The other had brilliant green eyes that gleamed in the sunshine and silver-colored hair." She looked at my face after pausing. I reached a conclusion. We were the girls she was talking about. I had never viewed her as ordinary-looking, so I puzzled why she thought that. She went on, "The boring one was also very poor." She had no father and her mother was a prostitute to support her. The other one, however, came from a prosperous and contented household. After meeting, the impoverished girl chose to attach herself to the wealthy one in order to establish a relationship and have access to a luxurious lifestyle. The wealthy person agreed to become friends because, at the time, he had no friends and would naturally be happy to make some. They were often spotted together after that day, the dull, impoverished one trailing the dog with silver hair." My thoughts drifted back to our shared moments. Alexander now, I still consider those days to be among my favorite recollections. How come she implied that I was her master and her servant? I'd never thought of her as such? "They both attended college after growing up. The impoverished continue to extort the wealthy in order to finance a better living. The affluent one found her partner quickly, but the dull, uninteresting one did not. Paradoxically, the dull person fell for the affluent person's partner and he also fell in love with her. They began dating covertly." My body shook with surprise as she paused to smirk at me. Had they been dating for that long? And Alexander never brought it up to me? "Long story short, the poor one later found out that the rich one's father was her father and her mother was the mistress he had chased away after a one night stand." My body began to tremble more, and my eyes got bigger. In what way is that possible? How on earth is Vivian my step sister? "The poor person started her search for a far better life when she realized that all the affluent person had might have been hers. She murdered her father and then his wife as she stood by and let the wealthy one come to her for comfort. She then discovered a means of eliminating both her grandmother and grandfather. Both the wealthy individual and their partner were anxious to be together, and the partner of the affluent individual aspired to take the lead. The unfortunate one aspired to be Luna too, so they effortlessly discovered a method to transfer her possessions to her partner. She then organized a fire incident and set up the wealthy one. The impoverished one made sure to be present when the wealthy one was discharged from the hospital so she could take pride in her newfound deformity. Now, their positions had been reversed. How come the boring person was now the attractive, wealthy, and wealthy person? Vivian Chuckled as she asked. Now, she was impoverished, distorted, and disfigured. "The rich one, named Lyra Avery, is now a nobody, and the poor one, named Vivian Quinn, is now the Luna of wildfire Pack ." Vivian Came to a conclusion. It couldn't be real, so I just stood there staring into space for a while. All of this must be awful. The two individuals I trusted and loved the most in my life were the ones who really caused all this disaster. It couldn't be true that the people I loved the most closest to me truly wrecked my entire existence, could it? I felt abandoned, hurt, deceived, and furious. I experienced a powerful hate that I had no idea could exist within me. Why did things have to be that way? How come I? I couldn't contain my tears as they came, and I decided to stop hiding them. At my lowest point, they had already witnessed me, so what was left to conceal? Even now losing all hope of survival, All I thought of was my child. I could not pass away quite yet. I lifted my hand to deliver the results to Alexander, but Vivian Grabbed it. Giving him in her company was a mistake, I realized then. If only I had told him sooner—that is, before our anniversary—he may not have dumped me as his partner. I mean, who was I kidding? Vivian gasped slightly as she read the data, and her eyes grew wide before snapping sharply. "What is that, honey?" Seeming to have heard her gasp, Alpha Alexander inquired. Nothing, sweetheart. Simply a sentimental missive. He sneered at her statement, "The fool still hopes you get back together." I was so tired that I was unable to even exhale in disbelief at her deception. I was rendered speechless as I observed her tear the outcome in front of me. The one thing I had battled so hard for, and my one hope. I gripped Alexander garments as he abruptly seized me. "You love me." I wanted to express myself. Saying as if he was aware, "It was a lie..." I fell into the ocean when he let go of me without saying goodbye. The water felt icy and frigid. not the same as the water I had once adored. I take it this was the last one? I stopped flailing in the water. For me, it was done. I noticed someone appear out of nowhere through the water's veils. Alpha He shoved Alexander quickly. My vision was spotty and my strength was insufficient to see properly. Alpha Lucius, who had already confessed to me several times. Alexander detested the man who had claimed to love me, therefore I ended up at odds with him. I saw him jump after me after punching Alexander, I tried to grin, but it was impossible. Is it too late? Why was it that it was too late for me to grasp how much he loved me? Why had the Goddess dealt me such a harsh hand? I despised her! Alexander was someone I detested! All of them, I detested! I was miserable and full of resentment. Life was too harsh. My life appeared to me like a movie when the final bubble of air burst. I then exhaled my last breath. **** A silver-haired girl startled as she abruptly woke up from a nice bed in a gorgeous room with exquisite linens covering the bed. Her eyes were stunningly dark green.Chapter Four: The rebirth Five Years later Soft, golden light filled the room when I woke up. I felt strangely whole, and the opulent bed underneath me felt wonderful. As I tried to take in my new surroundings, I blinked. It dawned on me then that I had changed. I stood up and found my legs were perfectly working, and my once-disfigured face was now faultless. Getting out of bed, I walked warily over to a full-length mirror. My dream Lyra, pure and lovely, was staring back at me. Feeling my silky skin and running my fingers over my silver-colored hair, I felt a mixture of confusion and bewilderment. With minor slight changes, She was still the same Lyra. "How did this happen?" Not believing even now, I asked. I stood there for a long time after speaking the word. "Did I just speak?" At last, I discovered my voice. "I recently completed it! I said something! I recently did. I leaped about the house and yelled with excitement. I hastened back to the mirror, where I gazed in awe a
CHAPTER 5ALLEGRAIt dawned on me that Lucius was falling for me. I also decided to take advantage of his affection even if I didn't love him back. That morning, I gave Lucius a call to let him know I was interested in seeing him. As I lay in bed contemplating how I would exact my vengeance as quickly as possible, there was a quiet knock on the door. I quickly realized that it was Lucius. I was expecting no one except him. I got out of bed and moved in the direction of the door. After taking hold of the key, I inserted it into the hole and drew the handle back.Greeting me with a "Good morning, Lyra," "Allegra," I corrected him "Good morning, Allegra," he said, acknowledging that mistake. I threw open the door and let him in. he sat on the couch, I sat on the bed facing Lucius. Without exchanging a word, we uncomfortably looked at one another for a while. I started after clearing my throat.I began, "I could be your fake mate." "That is if you will agree to announce me as the L
CHAPTER 6ALLEGRA Lucius guided me around the pack elders' seats while holding my hand. I had to accept their blessings by bowing before them. We greeted the elders and then made our way over to the other pack authorities. The others, like gamma and beta. After we greeted each other, Lucius formally introduced them to me. Their eyes told me a lot was going on in their minds. They weren't convinced that I was their Luna. They also had questions I could see clearly in their eyes. Like, where did she come from? The news that their alpha had unexpectedly attracted a mate startled and unsettled them. I greeted everyone pleasantly and ignored them in all of these. I was unsure if Lucius saw it as well or if it was just me. I still chose to act composed. "She's... pretty," said one of them. "Like a ghost that she appears to be."I took a deep breath and carried on strolling. "Are you sure you know what a Luna is?" I was baited by another one. "This isn't a fashion parade model home. It'
CHAPTER SEVENALLEGRA The event had come to an end. Lucius and I strolled over to his room together. Everyone else in the hall had started to scatter as well. So, we weren't left. When we went to his room, he directed me to his couch, where I sat. "Allegra, he called. " I think I have to take my shower now." I've stressed myself a lot today." He said."I know, right?" I smiled artificially in response. moved in the direction of his closet. He stripped and did behind it. Before long, he was in front of me, his towel wrapped around his waist. I averted my gaze from him to avoid seeing his naked chest. "I assure you, it won't take too much time," he said. "Please, take care of yourself till I return. I was growing restless. I wanted to yell at him to just go ahead and take a bath. I just rolled my eyes and shook my head. His footsteps approached the restroom, and I didn't look up until I heard him closing the door. "Urgh!" I let out a sigh and got to my feet. I changed out of m
CHAPTER EIGHTALLEGRA That awful day came back. I was able to witness the day my ex-mate declared my ex-best friend to be his Luna. Their happy expressions and the pack members' delight. I experienced the painful moment once more. As I witnessed the event, I clenched my hand into a blow, and instead of feeling the depressing aftermath, I felt an intense sense of vengeance. In the lake, I sensed two hands grab and release me. I landed in the water right away. I woke up with a gasp. After all, it was all a nightmare. I was panting fiercely and soaked with sweat. My hands were gripping the blankets tightly, and I was still drenched in perspiration despite the room's AC being on. I heard someone shuffling close, so I looked up to find Lucius quickly putting on his clothing. To my amazement, my gaze went directly to the wall clock. It was just past one in the morning. I wondered where Lucius intended to go this time of the night. He was dressed up, but why? Well, asking him directly t
CHAPTER nineLUCIUSI made my way to the battleground. My guards were occupied fighting the invading rouges. I heard the clanging of swords. Blood spattered everywhere, and roars filled the battlefield. I sprouted my claws and plunged into the combat zone. I was ambushed simultaneously by two rogues, but I managed to put one of them to the ground with a fast kick to the foot. Grabbing the other's blade, I used it to draw him closer to me. As soon as he attempted to take the blade from my grasp, I spun him around by grabbing his neck. I met his gaze directly. He lay down on me and I put my claw around his throat. I wrapped my claw around his neck before he could react, leaving the floor stained with his blood. I overcame all of the rogues with my bare hands and feet, even though they were armed with swords. They weren't as powerful as you had anticipated. We were able to overcome them and seize the remainder of them with relative ease. I examined the helpless targets we had appre
CHAPTER TENLUCIUS Point of View At first, I kept silent. All I could do was stare at her, and she would not stop asking me the same question. I knew I had to respond to her. Anything at all to get her to quit bugging me, or at least keep the truth from her. I would not tell her, and I didn't want her to find out. She gazed up at me, curiosity shining in her eyes as I searched my mind. I could tell she was beginning to get wary already. "Look, Allegra..."I started to say something, but before I could get very far, there was a tap on the door. I felt like smiling as I turned to face the door, but I had to suppress my smile. "Pardon me," I muttered to Allegra, hoping she wouldn't bother me once again. All she did was nod. She was no longer bothering me, and for that I was thankful. I moved over to the door and let it open. I was happy the knock had come. I still hadn't decided which lies to tell Allegra. It was only a rescuer, and I was happy it arrived. One of my guards was w
CHAPTER 11ALEGGRA I smiled to myself, knowing that it was her. I circled the chair where she was sitting for a while before coming to a halt in front of her. "Why were you at the soldier's dedication?" I questioned her. She didn't say anything. Just like you had anticipated. I was aware that it would not be simple to extract the words from her. She would prefer not to reveal the words. I gave one of the guards a raised eyebrow. He moved in her direction and smacked her. She lowered her face and put both hands on her cheek. She wouldn't be able to be heard if she screamed since the location was sufficiently far. He gripped her neck and raised her head. She resisted him as he started to choke her. When I removed his hands from her, her eyes had already started to become white. My question was, "Are you ready to talk now?" She resumed her silence. I snorted. Even with her life in jeopardy, she was proving to be challenging. I pondered if she knew that I could command her to die.
Chapter 152 ALLEGRA After five years, when everything had finally settled down and everyone was living in harmony, it was time to celebrate the fourth year of the Crescent Moonstone Pack. Yes, that is the new name for our pack instead of giving the impression that Lucius had taken over my pack. Instead, we wanted to demonstrate how two hearts had united. Oh, there are two packs of laughs. Five years later, I gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, who at the time we thought were only one child. Although they have grown up to be mischievous, they are still the sweetest little thing imaginable. Sitting in the garden, I observed them running around while the maid trailed behind them. My face was made brighter by a smile. To me, this child was everything, and they completed everything. Many things had happened over the years; Lisa was freed from severe torture and fled to the human world. No one had seen or heard from her since, but I knew that she would never set foot in this pla
CHAPTER 151 AVA POV At last, Lucius consented to leave the room with Allegra. I instantly extended my arms to hug my friend. "I'm really glad finally I have found my mate, surprisingly." "Same here, Ava." He put his hands on my chick and answered. My entire body was tingling with goosebumps, and I couldn't contain my enthusiasm. "I am extremely thankful for coming to the rescue of my life, you know." "It's really nothing dear, who I'm I not to save such a damsel as you." "If not for the presence I could only imagine what my situation would be like now." "Well, I'm also happy my present was significant cause I didn't only save you but now I found my mate as well.” I flirted more and more, and he responded. We started kissing and touching each other, with him looking into my eyes and me into his. "I had waited so long to find my mate, never did I know the time was approaching." As we relished the beautiful moment, I said something to him. "Ouchh... My head aches a bit." "
CHAPTER 150 ALLEGRA POV Despite my best efforts and those of Lucius's mother, he remained steadfast and full of heart. I could tell Lucius was pulsating with anger and agony. "Lucius, please listen to us. Lisa deserves this; please don't take her life so quickly." I persisted in pleading with Lucius to allow Lisa to go through the torturous process; I didn't want her to die too quickly because she was already having trouble breathing. "What are you planning on doing to Lisa?" "She'll be starved to death until I'm satisfied and flogged in public." While he was at work in the dungeon, Lucius answered me. "L..u..c..i..u..s” "Ava is conscious, thank goodness you defeated death." The Beta said that upon hearing her voice, Ava attempted to sit up and made a feeble, low-pitched appeal for Lucius. Lisa was instantly freed by Lucius, and Ava's voice could be heard. "Ava, you're at last awake." Mother, Lucius, and I hurried to the bed to assist Ava in quietly searching up. "Ava,
CHAPTER 149 LUCIUS POV "What could have happened now to Ava, I just pray she's fine." As we hurried to see how Ava was doing, Allegra murmured to me. "What's wrong, what happened to Ava?" "Is she hurt?" Allegra and I went straight to Ava's room and started asking random questions. My parents were sitting next to her on her bed, seemingly comatose, and a strange individual was in front of them. "She was brought unconscious to the pack, by this young man who happened to see her and rush her here." Allegra walked up to Ava's bed to check on her and Mother answered. "Good morning ma, here is the blow of water and towel you asked for.”When the maiden entered with a blow and a towel, Allegra picked it up and gave it to Ava's mother, who used it to compress Ava's head. "Young man, I'm extremely thankful for your kind act of rushing her back to the pack and not trying to take advantage of her condition." "If not for you only who knows what will have been happening to her by now." Whi
CHAPTER 148LUCIUS POV That relationship I sensed something was off as the woman I saw came into view. It was Allegra, not Lisa, and everything started to become clear. I started to remember the times I had spent with Allegra, including how I had assisted her in getting revenge. I also remembered the night of the coronation, when Allegra told me she was pregnant. My heart skipped a beat; I nearly passed out. Allegra was terrified because she was seeing this happen right before her eyes."Lucius, what is the issue? Speak to me, are you alright?" She spoke, but I was unable to speak. I was reduced to tears. Allegra gave me a baby-like hug. I was upset with myself for speaking to her in such a cruel way and even for demeaning her. "I apologize, my love, I'm so sorry". Allegra was in disbelief when I told her, sobbing. She raised my head and gave me a direct gaze. "Lucius, can you recognize me?" I lowered my head in shame and nodded; she started crying too and gave me such a strong
CHAPTER 147 LISA POV It's annoying that everyone appears to be meddling in my affairs at the moment. It's unbelievable that the guards are now paying so close attention to me. I had to get out of here quickly. I have to stop taking chances or else my plans will not work out. As soon as I left my room, I saw how closely guarded the entire home was. No one can escape without being recognized since the level of security has been doubled. What should I do now? I have to get to the forest immediately, and I most surely don't want to be discovered.I went back into the room, grabbed a pile of clothes, and hid a disguise in them so I could leave without anyone noticing. Luckily, no one was there when I headed to the laundry, so I took a chance and used the door to escape the house's security and enter the woods. When I finally managed to leave the house, I made sure that no one saw me or was following me. I also wore a cape to conceal my identity in case I was found.I ventured deep i
CHAPTER 146 LUCIUS POVElara left the angry room. I was extremely sorry if I had offended her feelings, but I honestly don't know what to do. "Hello, Alpha, good morning. I have terrible news to share with you." I instantly turned to face my best friend as I walked out of my room. "What makes your information terrifying?" "Sir, it is heard and said that both our park and the Wildfire pack are in battle with each other." "And how is that my concern if I may ask?" "Sir Lucius, there is a misunderstanding developing between the two packs, and you are the alpha of the two of them. If you don't see it,then it's possible that this may result in their breakup, which would be an awful decision you would rather not make." I didn't respond to anything my beta stated because I didn't know how to handle the packs or deal with a scenario like this. "I have heard you, you can go now." "But sir...." "Please leave, I do not want to listen to any more complaints." I responded angrily to my beta
CHAPTER 145 ALLEGRA I took a seat at my desk, turned on my computer, and spent a great deal of time researching and participating in forums related to memory loss remedies. "After all we've been through together, I do not want to lose my Lucius; I can't afford to endure this pain." As I continued to post on several boards, I told myself that I would find a solution. "Allegra!" I was scared when I heard a voice coming from behind and shut down my computer right away since I didn't want anyone to interfere with my research. "Jez, Lucius you shocked the hell out of me so much I didn't notice when you even walked in.”It was almost possible that someone close to me could hear my heartbeat, I said, clutching my chest. "Well, it appeared you were really engaged in your system, 'cause I called your name and you still were distracted." "My apologies dear, truly I was absent-minded, working on my system." "Well it's fine, apologize for the distraction nevertheless, but I would like to as
CHAPTER 144 LUCIUS POV Lisa claimed to be the real person I'd been seeing in my dreams, so I made a lot of effort to link the love we shared. Everything seemed completely different. "What exactly in the world is happening here, Lisa what the fuck are you doing with my brother?" Lisa is attacked by a young woman named Ava who enters the room violently and grabs her by the hair. "Get your outrageous self away from him, before I tear you to pieces." My heart thumps in shock as Ava yells at Lisa. "Well as you could see we were having a moment of reconnecting, before your interruption, why are you covered in bitterness?”Lisa hissed back. Ava lifted her fists to strike him, but I intervened to stop her. "How dare you speak to me with that kind of voice and tune, you witch?" "Don't lay a hand on her, she has done practically nothing wrong, furthermore, you are the one starting up the scene." "Brother don't tell me you are really siding with this deceiving serpent?" With a look of ext
