Chapter 43

I couldn't go to sleep that night. The thought of the strange wolf wouldn't leave my brain; I didn't bring it up to Brax I didn't want him to start worrying over it. I knew that Nick and Dillon would have told him everything they knew. As the sun started to rise, I looked over to Brax, who was peacefully sleeping next to me; I felt guilty for having a connection with another wolf, like I was cheating on him, even though it felt nothing like it did when I first met Brax. Letting out a loud sigh, I rolled over my eyes caught the book from my pack that was sitting over on the bench next to my window. It called to me again like it had when I first laid eyes on it. Getting out of bed, I made my way over to it, sitting down in the window, picking up the book, and opening it to the page where I had left off. The words seemed to dance off the pages, drawing me in once again. It was a distraction from my thoughts of the mysterious wolf, but it also brought up more questions about my own abilit
