Kit’s POV In a matter of seconds, Dom pulled from within me, and removed himself from on top of me, as he got to his feet, stepping away from the bed. Grabbing the sheet, I pulled it to cover my naked body, as my eyes stared at him, wondering what was going on in his head. He was getting what he wanted, so why had he stopped? “I can’t do this. Not like this.” he said as he ran his hands through his tussled hair. His actions right now were confusing me, and I had to know why he was acting this way, because the last time I checked he was only doing this because I was in heat, and because he was fulfilling his wants to take me. “Like what?” I asked him, as I wiped away the tears that had fallen down my cheeks. His hand moved to point at me, as he said, “Like that.” Pointing out the tears that I had just wiped away. “What does it matter to you how you are getting it from me? Isn’t this what you wanted?” I ask
Dom’s POV I couldn’t believe that she would think that I would betray her, because the love that I once had for her and still do, was more than I could even famine. Kit was my mate, and even though she thought the worst of me five years ago, I had to find it in my heart to forgive her. Maybe the guilt was on me, maybe I didn’t show her enough love and compassion back then, but now I could. “I’m so sorry.” Came from her lips once again, and I knew by the look in her eyes that she was hurting just as badly as I was, or even worse. Now that her reasoning for pushing me away from her was brought to light, I hoped that now she would let me into that heart of hers and allow me to finally love her. “Shh.” I say to her, as I run my hands back through her hair. “What is done is done, but we can still be.” I then said to her, letting her know that I forgive her, and I still want to be with her. Through her sobs, Kit says to me, “Wh
Kit’s POV My body felt sated as I lay here in Dom’s arms, and my heart felt full as I felt his love for me, now that my eyes had been opened. I knew he said that he had forgiven me, but the truth was I don’t know if I would ever be able to forgive myself for what pain I have caused him and my family. Dom had his hand intertwined with mine, as he held it up in the air, and I looked at our hands together and how perfectly my small hand fit in his. There was no doubt in my mind that the Moon Goddess had made us for each other, but of course I had to mess up her plan with my stubborn ways. Even though I was now in Dom’s arms, I knew that what we had just shared wouldn’t be able to go any further than that, because I was sure that Dom’s father wouldn’t forgive me for what I had done, especially since I couldn’t forgive myself. “What are you thinking about?” Dom whispers in my ear, and his warm breath tickles my flesh, sending
Kit’s POV The small present I was holding in my hand almost dropped to the floor, as Dom’s sudden appearance had surprised me. “It’s nothing.” I said lying to him, as I went to quickly put it back into my bag, still not knowing if I should give it to him. “It doesn’t look like nothing.” He said as he moved into the room towards me, and my face instantly began to blush, as I knew there was now no way of getting out of giving him the gift that I had bought for him all those years ago. Pulling the present back out of the bag, I hold it up to him and say, “Happy Belated Seventeenth Birthday.” Dom’s eyes moved from mine, as he looked at the small present in my hands, and the now lop-sided bow, as a look of confusion plagued his face. “Wait has that been here all these years?” As it was apparent that he was remembering the last time that he saw me and that we were here, before I had run off. “I am just as shocke
Kit’s POV My chest heaved as I looked down at my untouched plate at the dinner table. I didn’t know that he, of all people, was going to be here. It had been five years since I had laid eyes on him. Five whole years, since I had to tolerate the feeling that one look gave me, just at the sight of him, and five years later, he gave me the same feelings. Feelings that I didn’t want, at least not from him. Our destiny had been written in stone as the elders would have said, two born on the blood full moon, four years apart, one of Alpha’s blood, and one of Beta’s blood, joined to breed the perfect next heir. But I had taken my destiny into my own hands years ago, when I stumbled acrost my perfect to be mate with another. The whole facade of this crazy world our Alpha was allowing to happen wasn’t what our Moon Goddess had wanted for us, and I wasn’t going to be apart of it. I wasn’t going to allow myself to be bred to the Alpha’s son, becaus
Kit’s POV His eyes instantly meet mine as I take a step back finding myself pinned against the wall, with no where to go, as he says to me, “It’s been far too long Kit.” His tone was so cool and smooth as if nothing had ever happened wrong between the two of us, and it sickened me that he thought he had the right to just come after me like he had. My tongue at that moment got the better of me as I said back to him, “Not long enough, if you ask me. I see things haven’t changed.” His body moved to me like the speed of light, pinning my body against the wall, making me realize that I had made a grave mistake, not because I feared that he would hurt me, but because I knew that I couldn’t allow him to be this close to me. His breath now tickled against my flesh as he leaned down, and I dared not to inhale his intoxicating scent, in fear the pills aren’t enough to keep my wolf at bay. His hand at that moment lifted, and the bac
Kit’s POV Thankfully, my sister’s party went on, and Dom and his cascade of she wolves disappeared for the rest of the night, leaving me to somewhat enjoy the rest of the party. Of course, my sister’s successful union was a reminder of my failure to the family, but I was happy for her as long as she was happy. As the night died down, and the guest began to leave, the few she wolves that lingered began to speak of tomorrow night’s ball, while the men were off talking, I assume business. The ball was the main ball of the year, where all the most eligible and wealthiest among all the packs in the regions would be attending. The she wolves of our pack would go all out for this event trying to snag themselves the wealthiest, highest rank mate, and this year proved to be the same, as I listened in on the conversation among those, she wolves that remained. For the last two years I have been of age to attend, but I had no desire to attend or fin
Kit’s POV Stepping out of the car, I wondered to myself, what the hell was I thinking as I made my way up the grand staircase into the ballroom. Last night this sounded like a great idea, but now as I make my way through all the people gathered here, as they part and their eyes are on me, I wonder how grave of a mistake I have made. My sister had pulled through for me with the most lavishing dress I have ever set eyes on. It was the most stunning shade of light blue, that sparkled in the moonlight, with a million tiny crystals embroidered delicately among the sheer fabric. It hung on my body, accenting my curves in all the right spots, and I looked like the Moon Goddess herself as my light blonde hair cascaded down my right shoulder in soft curls. It had been over five years since I had seen a soul around here, and not a face in sight looked familiar to me, but I guess none of that really mattered because I was on a mission and that miss
