CHAPTER FOUR

“She’s not awake yet, Alpha,” A feminine voice said but it sounded a bit shaky and terrified. I moved softly so that they won’t see me.

“Shit. Why is she so fucking weak? This is a joke.” He said again, his tone more disappointed which made my skin crawl in anger.

Trust me, I don’t want you. I said aloud in my head and there was soft silence. There were sounds of retreating thundering footsteps and at this, I started grumbling softly. Soon, someone was holding my arms softly, mumbling words to herself and I opened my eyes to see a young female doctor in front of me.

Raising my hand to my head, I tried to stop the impending headache that was starting to form. She sighed gratefully and got a small torch, which she put on, making my eyes twitch.

“I’m fine,” I bit out and she backed off in surprise at my tone. I’m pretty sure I sounded more than okay. I passed out, I’m not dead I wanted to say. “Where’s Corey?”

“You wake up from a mental breakdown and all you can think of is your brother. Still the same.”

I turned in the direction of the voice and my eyes widened when I saw the girl that had held me earlier. Her green eyes still burned fury green and they looked beautiful. She raised her hand, putting her hair softly behind her ears as she walked towards me.

Surprising me, she sat on my bed and I immediately scooted like she would burn me. At this, she just smiled softly and placed her hand on my head.

“You okay?” Her soft voice calmed me but when I remembered the wolf I saw I could not help the fear bubbling inside me.

I nodded and stared down, she raised my chin. “You’re young. And beautiful.” My cheeks flared up at that and she laughed.

“You dashed your face with a stone when you fell. The mark is almost invisible now, you see why we say you’re not normal?” Her voice came out more pressing and my eyes widened, raising my hand to touch the side of my cheek.

But I was. If I wasn’t normal, that was I?

She chuckled and stood up, her scent hitting my nose softly making me love the flowery touch in it. “You must have met my dumb mate? He threw you in a cell, I threw him in the hound house.”

I laughed at that, my giggles flowing into the air and she smiled at me, something I was not used to seeing on her face. “See, you’re so pretty you should do that often. Come on, let me take you to your room.”

My smiles disappeared from my face and a smirk emerged on hers. She held my hands and with her usual strong strength that I had gotten used to, she picked me up, making me hit her a bit but she didn’t seem affected.

“Don’t worry, Corey is there.” She said, using the keyword and I nodded in a rush. I missed him so much.

She nodded too and took me out of the current hospital place where we were. I stared shocked at the hallway that looked like a mansion's instead of a hospital's.

She looked at me and laughed, “The Alpha's manor has everything, you don’t have to look that confused.”

I stared at her in fear, already trying to wriggle my hands out of hers causing her to stop walking.

“Alpha? He wants me dead, please-“ I started but she shushed me a bit, with a frown on her face.

“He's done what he usually does. Scare people. He can’t kill you. He does kill, don’t get me wrong,” She said causing my heart to fly again, it must have shown on my facial expression cause she was quick to speak.

“But not you. Can never be you.” She completed, singling me out like her mate had done before with her at the abandoned house, “You're special.”

She didn’t wait for another question from me when she saw the curious look on my face, she dragged me instead, leading me to the left side of the hallway.

“This is the Alpha wing. And-“ She dragged when we came in from of a golden door. “This is your room, for now.” She corrected, emphasizing the “for now.”

She opened the door and I didn’t bother to argue as I was pulled in. The first thing I saw was my brother sitting down on the bed with Norman, both laughing and growing playfully. His brown eyes soon set on me and he ran to me with happiness.

“Corey!” I screamed as I hugged him, not letting him go. His small hands went around my neck in my crouched position and I picked him up immediately. He laughed and hugged me the more. I turned to see Norman smiling at us, cutely.

He seemed like the only friendly male here and Davina, the only friendly female. He stood up from the bed, walking towards us with a soft smile on his face.

“So I guess I owe you an apology,” He started making me stare at him confused and of course, Corey doesn’t help matters.

“Yeah apologize!” He screamed and Norman laughed but with his hands up in mock surrender.

“I shouldn’t have told you not to hold me. I was supposed to help you in that state. If I would’ve known-“ He started but the next voice that shut him up had the whole room in shock.

“And what the fuck is going on here?”

We all turned to see the man from earlier before. He had covered up his defined and muscles torso with a black shirt, buttoned up with shorts. His curly hair, made him appear more beautiful than before but the snarl on his face, explained his disgusted mood.

“Alpha,” Davina spoke up and I held Corey protectively in my arms. “We were just showing our future Luna, to her chamb-“

She was cut short again, something that I had noticed that he loved doing. Rude brat.

“Don’t be stupid, Davina. I know what the fuck is happening, I’m asking why it’s happening. His voice boomed, even though it was dangerously low, the huskiness getting to my veins. I immediately decided I hated him, he was rude and dumb and-

“Answer me.”

Of course, he would cut my thoughts short too.

“Let us leave.”

Everyone turned to me and I realized that I had spoken what was at the edge of my skin, scratching to be heard. Davina gasped a little and Corey's hands tightened on my neck. His blue eyes stared into mine if looks could kill.

“Let us leave, I won’t return ever again. I would stay away from the town of Revala. I promise. I would stay away from you.” I said, promising heaven and earth but when I looked up, he looked more mad, his eyes had anger, disgust, and pain?

What the fuck did he want from me?

Corey was quiet in this situation and I was grateful for it. He always knew when there was danger. My breaths were low and deep. Breathing in and breathing out. The room was fucking quiet and it put me on edge instead.

“Take the boy and leave,” He said and I held Corey tighter than ever. Norman nodded and went to Corey who already had his arms outstretched. I overlooked the betrayal and shook my head. Norman gave me a pleading look and I looked at Davina, who nodded at me as if telling me that everything will be okay.

At this, I let them leave with Corey and turned back to the Alpha who shut the door, making me jump.
