Chapter 3

"Are you serious, Celine?" Venus asked me incredulously as we were tidying up here in my room. I'm planning to go to Cntrl S's Gig tonight at a Club near the University, which is new to Venus because she's used to me always being locked up at home after school.

I have never gone anywhere, after school since I was in junior high, but now I want to watch them play. "Will we be allowed?" I looked at him from the bed and smiled.

"Of course, mommy is there," I know my mom will let me, it's a good thing Dad and older brother aren't there because I'm sure they won't allow me to say goodbye for this.

"It's up to you as long as I'll just be with you" her face was still not convinced and it was obviously against her heart but I just chuckled at her and pulled her out of my room and run-down the stairs. "Mommy!" I called my mom, she was busy cooking in the kitchen so Venus and I approached her.

I hugged her from the back and rub my head around her shoulder. "Mommy please can we go out, we'll just watch something near the University," I said softly to mom to allow us.

My mom faces me with a sweet smile while holding both of my hands. “Sure, darling but in one condition be here before 10 pm ok, your dad will check on us through skype ok,” she pats my head before kissing my forehead.

"Yes, mommy before 10, we're here," I enthusiastically replied to mommy before hugging her tightly and pulling Venus out of the house.

"I told you," I said happily to Venus as we boarded the car. "Brother Gaston, we are at the University" Brother Gaston nodded at us and drove us to the university. "Are you really sure about this, we might not be admitted to the club where only 17!" worried Venus said as someone looked at her cellphone.

"I won't take care of that," I assure her. When we got to the opposite side of the University, I sent my older brother Gaston home first and told him that I’ll just call him when we get home.

Venus and I walked a bit next to the University until we came to the Club where Cntrl S will be playing. "Wait wait, how did you know they had a gig here?" he asked me in astonishment.

“I stalk their I*’s for information and some of their schedule,” I answered. “O my G you what? Your stalk other people already? Are you still Celine? ” Venus grabs both of my shoulders and shakes me a little. “Well, yesterday I just decided to be their Fan and I will literally support them to any gigs and battles” I confidently said as we stood here outside the Club.

“Shocks, when have you been like that? Or don’t tell me you like them so you do it?” she crossed her arms in front of her chest and intensely looked at me. She knows me so well.

“Yeah, you're right, but it’s not just about him I also really like their band and the way they play music and sing,” I look at Venus she doesn’t look convinced of what I said. "Tell me who among them?" she asked.

I avoid looking at her “Tagan,” I said. “Why Tagan!? Why not Apollo Tove?” she raises her brows on me. "My heart likes him, I can't do anything about it," I pointed to the left side of my chest where you can locate the heart.

"Didn't I tell you that man was heartless," Venus is trying to convince me? "Yeah, I know but I don't know, I just want to know him more" he pulled her inside, and surprisingly the guard just let us in, he doesn't even care when we walk through the entrance.

When we enter, an unfamiliar smell covers my nose, the smell of alcohol and smoke, and when I look around so many people and dance to look then the dizzying lights inside are dizzying. The places were surrounded by neon lights and some parts of the club were so dark because the light would not hit.

Venus and I started walking in the crowd but we were hit very hard and people pushed us around. "Shit, why is it like this, here?" irritated Venus said while were walking at the center of the crowd.

When we got close to the stage, we saw an available table so we immediately approached it, and some waiters offered us drinks but we just ordered water. But we didn’t drink it too, it’s hard for us to drink a mixture later this is a club.

In just a few minutes they came out from backstage here at the Club and assembled their things in front. I sat up straight when I saw Tagan in front, his emotionless face and his cold eyes never disappoint my gaze. I don’t know but I really find him amazing and charming even if he's so cold.

"He might melt, with your stares," Venus slapped my arm to remove my stare at Tagan in front. "I'm not staring," I said.

I just focused my gaze on the front again and waited for them to play.

They started to play, "Your man on the road, he doing promo, you said to keep our business, on the low-low, I’m just tryna get you out the friend zone"

Tove started singing and I can’t lie but he's damn good. The crowd started cheering for them and girls here are so in love with them I can say it through what I’m witnessing.

"Cause you look even better than the photos, I can’t find your house send me the info, driving through the gated residential."

They are heating up the crowd and it’s so amazing as if the light is in sync with the beat of what they are playing. Tagan is so handsome when he plays his guitar.

"Found out I was coming, sent your friends home, keep on tryna hide it but your friends know."

Aiden is hitting the beat so good how can they do that? Everybody in the crowd was vibing with their song, and my eyes are still locked on him but I totally got stiff when his eyes met my gaze seemed to blow too hard when our eyes met.

"I only call you when, It’s half past five, the only time that, I’ll be by your side I only love it

"When I’m fuck up, that’s the real me, when I’m fuck up that’s the real me, yeah, I only fuck you when it’d half-past five the only time I’d ever call you mine."

The women are squealing here inside when they hit the chorus part, I don’t know but I find it hot in here because of the tone of their singing, it seems like the way they sing is very moving.

I stand up so I can see them better because the number of people in front of me is starting to increase.

When they finished singing, they went down to the stage and I want to grab that chance to give Tagan the letter I brought here in my bag.

"Hey, where are you going?" I heard Venus ask me but he didn't look back and accelerated my walk so that I could catch up with them.

I was close to them when someone pull my wrist “Hey, miss are you new here?” I think this man is a college student already.

He pulled me closer to him so I could talk properly but I find it uncomfortable because he was so close to me and his gripping my wrist so tight.

"Let go," I said and tried to full my hands away from him, but he wouldn't let me go.

"Wanna join me upstairs?" he whispers in my ears but I push him and he was about to grab me again.

"Hey I want to join you upstairs pare" I looked behind me when a Member of Cntrl S spoke from there, it's Aiden and Tove were next to him while Tagan's at the back.

"Why are you pulling that woman?" Tove asked the man who pulled me.

Because Cntrl S is here, of course, all the attention is also here, so I bowed a little because I'm not used to a lot of people.

"No, I just want to be friends with her," the man replied to them. “Don’t pursue others when they don’t want!” Tove grabbed my hands and put me at his back. "That's right, you're not right, you're forcing the woman" Aiden replied.

And, since I went behind them it turns out that I am in front of Tagan now. "Sorry, I won't do it again," the man was afraid to leave earlier so they confronted me.

"Are you okay miss?" Aiden asked me softly so I just nodded at him and looked at Tove. "Be careful next time ah" he said and they started walking away and Tagan quietly followed them.

But before he could finally getaway, I pulled his hoodie from behind and it makes him stop walking. He turned at me, and so did Tove and Aiden.

I slowly raised my gaze to him until our eyes met as if my whole body suddenly went cold. I slowly let go of his hoodie as he looked down at my hand. I took the latter that I would give to him and give it to him and bowed.

I waited for his answer, but I could feel the people around me laughing so I immediately raised my head. Only to find out that he was no longer in front of me, I turned around and saw his back walking out of the club he was too far away. I look around and everyone is laughing at me.   

"Celine let's go," it's a good thing Venus came and pulled me away. He did not accept my letter. "What is this, Celine?" she grabbed my letter for Tagan. “Letter,” I said.

"Are you sure, Tagan is heartless, so for sure he won't accept that?" Venus said annoyed.

I just bent down and sat on the side of the road, softening with sadness. "I just hope he might accept," I hopingly said. "Cut it out! let's go home,” she dragged me to the university, where Gaston would pick us up.
