“Quick, get him to the infirmary!” Regan bellowed at the guards standing by.

Immediately, both of them bent over and carried Estan's unconscious body. That was when Ivorie came running into the dining hall. She had almost collided with the guards as they carried Estan out.

Horror and confusion etched on her face as she watched them leave.

She faced Regan. “What happened?” She asked tensely.

Regan walked past her, following the guards.

“I have no idea.” He answered gravely. They both followed the guards to the infirmary. A few minutes later, Estan was in the inner ward, receiving treatment from the healers while Regan and Estan waited outside – in the waiting room.

Regan was seated in an apparently thoughtful manner – his elbows rested on his knees while his jaw rested on his two knuckles.

Suddenly, he faced the guard who had mindlinked him.

“Tell me what happened,” he said.
