Chapter 36  Fired!

Becky’s POV

“He wanted you to say you were in love with him. Are you seriously that dumb Becky?” Jenny asked.

I had woken her up before dawn to tell her about the awful time I’d had with Frank the night before.

“Are you sure?” I asked, surprised.

“He has feelings for you, and he wanted you to say you felt the same way,” Jenny explained.

“But I don’t. I see him as a friend,” I protested.

“Then let him know that.”

“Why didn’t he just come out plainly and say so?” I wondered.

“Maybe he is a dork, but if you don’t feel the same way, then tell him plainly,” she advised.

“Sure, thanks.”

“How about Phillip? Any improvement?”

“No, Phillip is a jerk and I want nothing to do with him,” I said firmly.

“Are you sure?” She teased.

“Yes I am. He yelled at me last night for no reason. Look, forget him. Let’s talk about something else.”
