3: Captured.

   Sometimes, fighting is an option and sometimes we shouldn't bother-- Vanilla Charet.

Vanilla.

      Never in my life have I believed it to be true, even when those scientists told me, I still had doubt's, infact, my doubt's were a hundred percent huger than my trust for them.

Especially since I had spent a month in the woods scouting for my friend and still, I got nothing. I had even concluded that I would return home if I found nothing yesterday before everything that happened happened.

In fact, I had thought of giving up days ago yet the thought that I could get my friend back was what had me going.

I grabbed her hand tighter as we made for the woods, we had no idea where we were going, all I knew was that I wanted to escape those horrible creatures because what ever they had in mind for me could never be good.

Howls from those creatures ripped through my ear, Prompting me to run faster than I could imagine I could run. We made it far, to a clearing that lead to another wood, smiling and determined, I made for it.

Running with all my might, the possibility of them killing me was high and I wasn't ready to die yet, that was why I fought hard to survive the darkness, that was why I had not given up on life, because I dreamt of a better future, a future where I don't have to be hated by my parents for being different, a future where I could have friends and do anything I want to.

Yet, I couldn't go far before I was knocked off my feet and sent flying in the air, " ahh!! " I screamed.

I landed on the floor, the wind had been knocked out of me and I could feel a few bone broken in my body, to my left, she had stood up, I still didn't know her name, maybe blue will do.

Blue had stood up, she ran to me and stood in front of me, only then did I notice the red wolf I had seen earlier, he was looking at me, rounding up around me like I was its prey.

Blue barred her teeth at it and it growled, making me push blue behind me, I tried standing up only to curse, tears of pain and fraustration forced it's way out of my mouth as pain gripped me.

The red wolf turned human right in front of me, it was a woman, a beautiful woman with the most gorgeous red hair I have ever seen, she came near me and examined me with her eyes.

"You are not a wolf? " she stated, looking at me with a frown edged on her face, the woods I ran out of earlier shook and the other two wolves emerged from it, they came to a stop right in front of me.

"She is not a wolf, " the redhead announced again.

The others who were two black wolves turned into two human boys, " what is she then? " one of them questioned.

The redhead shrugged, " human" she replied, making the other two gasp, I couldn't say a thing as they came around and examined me.

" the tales are true, woman human are indeed beauties, " one of the boys that I realized were twins said. Though I wasn't meant to, I blushed.

I noticed that they both had brown hair and a nice face. It was on rare occasions that I got to be praised by a non human creature.

"And the other one? "

" she is a mermaid, I don't know how she got here and why she is with her but she seems to be young, "

I gasped, turning to blue, "y-you are not h-human either?"

She shook her head with a pout, I turned to the werewolf's " since you guys are not humans then you must be the ones who took my friend, where is she? " I asked, acting the pieces of news was not affecting my mental health.

The redhead looked at me, pity evident on her face, " it's a pity we will have to give her to Darkness too, "

The boys sighed, " can't we keep her? Or at least send her back? "

"No! " the other one protested.

" Kyle is right, the portal only opens twice in a trimester and she opened the second one last night, we can't keep her either, the rule is that any human woman captured goes to Darkness, if he finds out we are keeping this one, he will be furious, besides, she belongs to him," she said the last words with a hint of amusement.

The twins nodded while I stiffened, D-did she just say D-darkness?

The redhead moved closer to me, "you are one special human you know, count yourself lucky, " Then she turned back to her wolf form," bring her! " she commanded and ran through the clearing I had seen.

The twins turned to me, "come with us," the one named Kyle tried to come near me but I flinched and backed away.

" No! " I protested, trying to get to my feet only to fall back again, Kyle sighed and came near me, he carried me, threw me on his back and began to move.

I tried running, I hit his chest over and over again to no avail, he ran so fast even in his human form that I was shocked and had to hold him tight to prevent myself from falling.

Then he stopped all of a sudden, we were in some kind of bedroom, he dropped me gently on the bed and made to leave yet I grabbed his hand quickly, " wait!" I yelled.

" what are you going to do to me? " I asked, Kyle shook his head.

" it's not In my hands human, Darkness decides things around here, rest little human, you will be fine, " he said, patted my hand and made to leave, I grabbed it harder.

" and Blue? Where is Blue? " I questioned.

" Blue? Who? "

"The girl that came with me, the one you said was a mermaid, " I asked.

Understand crossed his face, " we will take her to Darkness first, he will tell us what to do with her, " he responded, then he released his hand from mine. " get some rest human, you will need it, "

Before I could ask any more question or say anything, he was gone.

Sighing, I hugged my knee to myself, never in my wildest imagination would I have ever thought I would be living a day like this, a day where I find out that mystical creatures exist.

"Well I could have found out a different way, " I muttered, holding my legs tighter.

" I hope I survive this and I hope cherry is fine anywhere she is, " With that, I leaned against the headboard and closed my eyes.

My body still hurt from the impact of the fall.
