2: Companion.

2: Companion. 

   Though Darkness scares me, I choose to fight-- Vanilla Charet. 

Vanilla. 

      My eyes flutter open, and the only thing I can feel is pain, extreme pain, my whole body hurt, my throat felt like it would rip open while my soul begged to be separated from my body and the pain it was going through. 

My whole head hurt, I looked down at myself, I was still at the hut I had ran in, the hut seemed to run with light 24/7 without electricity or anything, it was empty, the walls were bright like a kind of glass reflecting the sun or something. 

I laid from the door I was leaning on to the soft carpeted floor, then I closed my eyes once again. 

When eyes opened again, I felt more refresh and even healthier if possible, a sweet scent evaded my nose, it smelt like cinnamon. 

"Why does it smell like cinnamon here? " I questioned, sniffling and looking around. 

" V! " I heard someone call making me look around. 

" V!! " the voice seemed familiar this time. 

"V!!! " this time I recognized it so I shouted. 

" Cherry? " that was my friends name, " Cherry is that you? " the voice came from outside the hut so I made for the door, then I stooped. 

" what if it isn't Cherry? " I muttered, plastering my palm on my forehead. 

I had been through too much for a dey, it wasn't surprising my wounds healed, I was a cursed child and the darkness loved my blood, anytime I was hurt, they would seek me, hurt me, scratch me, make my life miserable then they would heal my wounds and leave me. 

That is why I never got hurt. 

Never. 

"V! " the voice sounded distant this time, closing my eyes, I made for the door and opened it. 

There was no one there, I peered around till I noticed a tall creature by the trees that I didn't even know were there last night. 

The creature was holding a girl in it's mouth, the girl had blood covering her but when she looked up, it turned out to be. " CHERRY!!!! " I shouted, at the same moment the creature began to run and I ran after it. 

It ran deeper into the woods, I ran for a long time, careful not to get hurt again. 

Just then I saw it stop, it dropped Cherry and then it left. I ran straight to where Cherry was, glad to have seen her but when I got there, the person wasn't Cherry, it was someone else, she had beautiful eyes and a very blue hair but she was naked. 

Her whole body shook as I ran to her, " are you okay? " I questioned, yet she shook in fear and scrambled away. 

Knowing she would be scared after what she had encountered, I stood far from her and watched her till it was almost night time. 

"Look, I know you are scared but I won't and I can't hurt you so if you think you can, come with me, " I advised, moving closer to her but she scooted away. 

Sighing, I looked around, " look, it's almost dark and i-i hate the darkness so come with me, who knows maybe that thing that took you will come back, you must be hungry too, " I said yet she refuse to reply so I shrugged and stood to my feet. 

"Goodbye then, " I shrugged. 

I was not going to let her put me in trouble, I was not hurt still I had a feeling the darkness would search for me and fins me in that place. 

As I ventured back to the hurt, I heard shuffling and ruffling behind me, a smile made its way to my lips when I noticed she had followed me back, the moment I opened the door, I waited for her to come over and she did to which I locked the door after her. 

She was quiet and so was I, we spent minutes in silence, her looking at me and me just looking anywhere except her, there was something about her gaze that seemed sinister. 

"Soooo! " I said after way too much silence, " are you hungry? " I asked, reaching for my backpack, I brought out a chocolate bar and handed it to her yet she flinched again, making me sigh. 

" take it, it won't bite and it is very delicious, " I cooed, moving it closer to her to which she flinched again. 

Sighing, I moved closer to her and placed it in between us then I went back to eating the one I had brought out for me, as I ate, she moved closer to the chocolate bar and sniffed it, then she took it hesitantly. 

The look on her face as she ate it made me chuckle so I gave her more, then I reached into my bag for my short and t-shirt, " here, wear this, " 

She sniffed it too and tried to wear it but did it wrong to which I chuckled and assisted her, after helping her in the dress, she sat closer to me, hugging herself while she looked at me. 

Soon i felt sleepy so gave her my blanket and smiled, " here, use this to cover yourself, good night then, " I said then I laid down. 

After I laid down, she scooted closer and then laid her head on my tummy. 

When my eyes opened, she was still asleep so I checked in my bag but sighed when I realized we had no more chocolate bar which means we would go hungry in a few hours. 

I tried to stand up yet I couldn't so I patted her head and waited for her to wake up, since I was healed, I planed on taking her out of here since I couldn't leave her alone in the wild especially when there were wild creatures running around. 

When she woke up, she looked at me while I stood and packed my things, then I held my hand out to her, " come with me, we need to go, this place is dangerous, " I told her. 

She pouted and held out her hand, looking sad and fearful, I have her a smile, " don't worry, I am here, I will protect you, " I stated with a soft voice. 

"h-he-he here, " she repeated, gave me a smile and held my hand. 

Then I lifted her up and we exited the hut together, we were close to the trees when She stopped making me look at her, " are you alright?" I questioned. 

Her hold on my hand tightened as she looked ahead of us, her body stiffening. Confused, I looked ahead only to rear back in shock, right before us, stood two huge wolfs, teeth bared and eyes looking straight at us, scared, I stood in front of Her and turn back, wanting to return to the hut only to scream in shock at a huge red wolf standing two feets away from us. 

I looked at her, the girl who looked more younger and shorter than me then I shouted with all my might, "RUN!!! " 

And that was it, we ran so fast that even the wolf were shocked, I couldn't look back, I didn't want to believe it, werewolf's were real and they were going to eat us.
