Back in the hospital room, Faye spoke softly, "Mom, Cedric is almost finished with decorating the new house. I'll help you with the discharge procedures tomorrow."

Flora had been staying in this hospital for more than six years because Faye couldn't take care of her. Because her health was deteriorating, staying in the hospital was the only way to ensure her well-being.

No one expected the initially short stay would turn into one that lasted for six years.
