Going out of her apartment’s gate, Cassandra’s eyebrows furrowed at the sight of a luxury car in front of her apartment.
Seeing Marty get off the car, Cassandra's feet were glued to the ground. Marty walked towards Cassandra, and took her small luggage. Cassandra was left with no choice but to get in the car.
Unsure what to say, Cassandra remained silent throughout the journey.
Cassandra was thinking if Marty was really there to pick her up or if it just so happened that he passed by. Her heart is beating so fast as if she did a 500-meter sprint.
Marty, on the other hand, kept glancing at her in the rearview mirror. He is content to be with her. She was the only woman who mattered to him.
As they neared the film set, Cassandra spoke, “Sir Marty, please drop me off here. I'll take a walk from here. ” Her voice was soft.
Marty stopped the car, and Cassandra grabbed her luggage out of the back seat.
“Thank you again, Sir Marty” she closed the car’s door and walked towards the film set.
Marty looked at Cassandra’s back, when she was a few meters away, it was only then that Marty drove his car slowly, following her.
Inside the dressing room, Cassandra was racking her brain to figure out ways to avoid contact with Marty after filming. She couldn’t let herself fall for him deeper, the sooner she gets over her feelings for him the better. The last thing she needed is to get involved with the infamous playboy of the film industry.
After about ten minutes, the makeup artist arrived, placed the makeup kit on the table and started doing Cassandra's makeup once she had finished setting up the makeup kit.
The door to the dressing room opened and a head popped up on the door.
“Ms. Cassandra, Sir Marty wants to speak to you.” The crew said, then closed the door.
Cassandra’s heart palpitates upon hearing the crew. Her face turned pale a few shades and her hands became cold. When her hair and makeup were done, Cassandra went to see Marty at once.
Cassandra wore a facade of calm, but deep within her was like a raging sea. There's an inner turmoil within her, she is fighting back her excitement to see Marty’s handsome face. His tantalizing silver eyes and alluring lips that make her heart flutter. His voice is soothing her soul. Marty is making her head spin like a whirlpool.
The fear that her heart will be shattered by the infamous Casanova conflicts with the giddy feeling that she has whenever she is near him.
“Hey, you’re already here.” Marty smiled at Cassandra.
"I want you to take a peek at the changes that were made to the script." Marty drew a chair for Cassandra and beckoned for her to sit down.
Cassandra looked around to see if anyone had seen Marty's gesture, but saw that everyone was occupied. She sat on the chair and Marty handed her the script.
Cassandra went through the script and she can't believe what she read. Every intimate scene in which she was supposed to act was removed.
She looked into Marty with teary eyes, “Thank you, Sir Marty” her lips quivered.
“You are the only director who did it for me, the rest never paid attention to my plight every time I filmed an intimate scene.” The tears gathered in her eyes escaped and rolled on her cheeks.
At the sight of Cassandra crying, Marty could not resist the urge to wipe away her tears. He gently wiped Cassandra’s tear-stricken face with his thumb while he cupped her face.
"Hush... Don't cry, your makeup will be ruined," Marty joked.
Cassandra smiled as she sniffled, “Sir Marty, I don’t know how to thank you.”
"Take me to dinner tonight and we'll call it even." Marty touched the end of her nose, Cassandra's heart trembled.
“Alright,” Cassandra felt relieved that after dinner, she wouldn't be thinking how to repay him.
So when she starts to avoid him her conscience won’t be bothered she thought.
"Wait for me when we're done." Marty's on his feet.
After some time, they began filming. The filming wasn’t going well as Kenneth was pissed off that all the intimate scenes with Cassandra were removed. They did several takes for one scene, but he can't act right.
On the contrary, Marty only smirked seeing the annoyance etched all over Kenneth’s face. He fancied about Cassandra and to have an intimate scene with her was his chance to touch her
“I wouldn’t let you touch her,” Marty mumbled and smirked.
When he was beginning to be exasperated, Marty called for a break. Marty spoke to Kenneth and warned him that he is going to remove him from the cast if he won’t give his best. After he talked to Kenneth, he went to sit in his chair and phoned someone.
While he had a phone call, Len came up to him with a cup of coffee and a blueberry cheesecake in her hands, and she put them on the table next to Marty. With her leaving, Marty beckoned her to wait. Marty ended the call and put his phone on top of the table.
“Did Cassandra tell you to bring these to me?” Marty took the coffee and sipped.
"Yes Sir" Len smiled, Marty looked around and found Cassandra talking with her co-actors, her back on him.
“Tell her to come over.” Marty smiled, Len nodded and scurried towards Cassandra.
Marty watched Len approach Cassandra and whisper into her ear. Cassandra looked in Marty’s direction and their eyes locked for a few seconds. Cassandra shied away and was the one to break eye contact.
She excused herself and walked towards Marty with a cup of coffee in her hand. “Do you need something, Sir Marty?” Cassandra smiled.
“Join me here, I need company.” Marty gestured for her to sit.
Cassandra sat and looked around, but everybody was engrossed talking with each other.
“What are you looking at?” Marty furrowed his eyebrows.
“It’s nothing, sir.” Cassandra looked at the cup of coffee in her hand.
"Are you afraid of being talked about as one of my collections?" Marty's eyes narrowed.
Cassandra didn’t dare to look at Marty, her hand trembled at his question. She did not expect that question from him.
Cassandra bowed her head and remained silent, she was at loss how to answer Marty’s questionMarty felt a sting in his heart, he couldn’t care less what others think about him. However, in Cassandra’s case he didn’t want her to see him as the infamous Casanova of the film industry.“I am waiting for your answer, Cassandra.” Marty wanted to hear what’s in her mind.“I don’t know how to answer your question, Sir Marty.” Cassandra’s voice quavered.“Look at me” Marty held her chin up.Cassandra felt waves of electricity pass through her body as Marty touched her. This feeling was new to her, she didn’t feel this way every
As they were heading toward his car, Marty could not help but smile as he remembered the softness of Cassandra's lips. The sweet taste of her mouth still lingers. Their bodies fit together as though they’re made for each other. At this point, Marty already admitted to himself that he fell head over heels for Cassandra. A while ago when he held Alexia’s waist, he felt disgusted. He even couldn’t bring himself to kiss Alexia. While on their way to the restaurant, the scene while back kept on flashing in her mind. She felt her face flush and a tingling sensation blanketed her body.No matter how much she tries to take it out of her mind, it keeps popping out. For the first time, she felt no disgust about the kiss. As opposed to kissing her co-actors during the shoot, she wanted
Alexia answered the door as soon as she heard the doorbell chime. Marty promised to her that he will come to her condo after he finishes his business. After taking Cassandra home, he headed to Alexia’s condominium. Marty went in, Alexia hugged Marty’s neck the moment the door closed. “Babe, I missed you.” It’s been 3 months since Marty came to see her. While hugging his neck, Alexa tiptoed to kiss Marty, but he dodges. Alexia got hurt when Marty steered clear of her. Marty removed her hand that was wrapped about his neck and walked into the floor to ceiling window. “Babe, what’s the matter with you?” Alexia followed him and hugged his waist. Marty removed her hand from his waist and turned t
Pleased to hear Cassandra call him by his first name, Marty could not help smiling from ear to ear. Seeing Marty, smiling at her like that makes Cassandra weak - kneed. She could hear her heart pounding wildly. "Why are you here?" Cassandra was baffled why he came at such an hour. “Won’t you invite me in?” Marty’s bright face instantaneously changed into gloom upon hearing her question. Cassandra is debating with herself whether to ask him to come in or chase him away. However, seeing his glum expression, she opened the door wide for Marty to come in. “Have a seat while I make coffee for you.” Cassandra said while closing the door.
Before sunup, Marty woke up. He felt a soft hand beneath his shirt wrapped around his chest. It suddenly dawned on him that he slept in Cassandra’s bed and the woman beside him was Cassandra. Waking up with Cassandra beside him, Marty felt like his heart would burst with joy. He looked at the woman who was asleep next to him. Her face flushed and looked innocent and beautiful. He couldn't hold himself back anymore. He bent over and kissed her lips so gently that he would not awaken her. He relished the moment and embraced Cassandra while she slept. About five minutes later, he reluctantly rose from bed. He took his shoes from the shoe rack, he keenly observed that it was placed next to Cassandra's shoes. This made him happier thinking that they were like real couple sharing their space with each other.
At the Bloomsbury Karaoke Bar lounge, Cassandra waited for Marty as he received a phone call. A gorgeous man clad in a three piece custom tailored suit approached Cassandra. “Hi, beautiful.” Cassandra, who was busy playing on her phone, looked up upon hearing the man’s voice. Looking at the gorgeous man in front of her, Cassandra furrowed her brows. For her, Marty's handsome face and chiseled physique are unparalleled. She bowed and kept playing with her phone. "Play hard to get, eh?" the guy said sardonically. Cassandra heard what the man said clearly, but just ignored it. Seeing that Cassandra completely ignored him, the man sat beside her. “Pretty, how much do you want? Name the price, I
The kiss lasted several minutes, all of a sudden Marty unlocked their lips. Cassandra was befuddled why he stopped kissing her. “Babe?” Marty hugged Cassandra, she could hear Marty’s heart beating wildly. Cassandra looked up at Marty, her eyes searching for an answer, but Marty's eyes were shut. "Is everything okay, baby?" asked Cassandra. “It’s getting late, babe. I should be going. I'll pick you up in the morning. " Marty brushed Cassandra's puffy lips. “I’ll send you off,” Cassandra said and walked towards the door. “You don’t have to.” Marty held Cassandra’s wrist. “Alright.” Cassandra smiled at him. “Good night.” Cassandra added. “Good night” Marty gave her a peck on the cheeks and left. Marty decided to leave, he knew if he stayed long enough, everything would be out of hand. She is not a woman to be trifled with, she is his beloved. On her bed, Cassandra thought her relationship with Marty was bringing her tremendous joy. She is ecstatic to be with the man she loves as
Cassandra’s eyes agape when the car pulled out in front of the mansion. She didn’t see their way entering the high end community as Marty was busy devouring her mouth. "Is this your house?" Insecurity has taken hold of Cassandra's heart. Her complexion paled a few shades and her body shuddered. “Don’t be afraid.” Marty could see that Cassandra is thinking that his mom is a snobby wealthy woman who looked down on her poor daughter in law. "I know what you're worried about." Marty continued. He hugged Cassandra to give her assurance. “Babe” Cassandra’s eyes were teary. "I'm nervous," she ended up acknowledging her apprehension. Marty stroked
Christmas Eve New Zealand Jacobs Estate After dinner the children excitedly went into the living room waiting for Marty to read a story for them. He sat at the love seat beside Christine, before opening the book he kissed Christine’s forehead. He placed the book on his lap, then placed his left arm around Christine’s shoulders and she leaned her head on Marty’s shoulder. And then he began to read the story for the children. Christine looked up, admiringly at her husband who was reading the story. As usual he switches voices to suit the character. After finishing the story the children went to kiss both Christine and Marty. “Grandpa, thank you for reading the book for us,” the 7 years old Jackson, their eldest grandson said and kissed Marty’s cheeks and then went to Christine and kissed her cheeks also and hugged both Christine and Marty telling them “I love you both to the moon and back.” That is what his mom, Cassie and father, Jared always tell him. Cassie and Jared got married
The doctor and nurses silently watched Marty grieving. They heard every word Marty told his wife. Their hearts go to Marty, seeing how broken he was. While Marty sobbing, Christine gasped and simultaneously opened her eyes. “Babe, you’re alive!” Marty shouted with joy. The doctor and nurses came running to them and attended to Christine immediately. Marty's tears didn’t stop welling up. “God, thank you,” he said while watching his wife. When the doctor was certain that Christine’s were fine they wheeled her into her suite. Marty stayed by her side and didn’t want to leave her. “Babe, how are the babies doing?” Christine asked when she didn’t see the babies in the room. “They're fine, they’ll be here after the newborn screening,” Marty brushed his thumb on her cheek, Marty’s vision became blurry as his tears pooled in his eyes and tears rolled down. He bent forward and hugged her tightly. “Please, don’t leave me babe,” he said incoherently while crying. Christine could feel his
Corrine went to the airport to pick up Jeremy. She was really pleased to see Jack and Jared. "Hey, little man, you're here to surprise your mom?" Corrine asked Jared while he ruffled his soft blond hair. "Yup," Jared answered her with a smirk. Corrine chuckled at his expression and said, "You really look and act like your dad." "Of course, he is good looking and smart like me," Jack said with a smug face. "Your son is an even better version of you. He's a lot more handsome and smarter than you." "He doesn't have that look and that brain if I wasn't his dad," Jack retorted while Corrine snorted. The next day, a limousine came to fetch Christine's best friends from the hotel. Christine was pacing back and forth in the living room while she eagerly awaited her best friends' arrival. Marty was worried about her condition and held her arm and said, "Babe, sit down, don't strain yourself.". He directed her towards the couch and sat down. Christine w
"No doubt she is Stella's daughter, she is the spitting image of her mother.” watching Christine attentively, her eyes soft. She and Stella were best friends. Whatever Stella had, she also had. Stella treated her like her own sister. Looking at Christine, Lorna reminisces the happy moments she had with Stella. After a couple of moments of reminiscence, she took Christine's hand and said, "My uncle had sought you out all these years. I am so pleased that you are finally here." Christine smiled feebly, she didn't know how to answer Lindsey's mother. She is trying to digest the fact that the woman who wanted to destroy her marriage was actually a family. And she's kind of baffled by the difference in attitude between Lindsey and Lorna; they're like the south and north poles. One has a trashy attitude while the other is gentle and kind. Are they really related to each other? She shudders at the thought that Lindsey is actually her cousin, that Marty meeting Lindsey is in
Señor Dela Vega squinted his eyes and gave Lindsey a side glance and said, "Are you even trying to manipulate me?" Lindsey trembled when Senor Dela Vega spoke to her in an authoritative tone. He didn't speak to her the way he did. He always doted on her and spoke to her gently. "I'm sorry, grandpa," she whispered. Senor Dela Vega ignored her and stared at Marty and said, "I want to meet your wife.". Everything Lindsey said to him was exactly the opposite of what he heard from Marty. And he was intrigued and wanted to see Christine. Senor Dela Vega stood up from the couch and refused Lindsey's assistance. He was disgusted with everything he had learned from Marty. He thought she was an innocent and pure girl, but she was quite the contrary. Marty came near Christine and whispered something in her ear. Her heartbeat began to pick up as if it's like a racing horse. She took a slow breath to calm down. Christine lowered her head as she was still nervous to meet Lindsey's grandfather.
Rather than being weakened by what Lindsey did, their relationship strengthened. Marty has proven to Christine that he has not cheated on her and her trust in him was fortified. The deed that was meant to tear them apart drew them closer together and made their marriage stronger. "Are you okay?" Marty asked her while they were heading to the fashion show. "I'm nervous, the last time I performed was the Awards Night five years ago," Christine ruefully said. Marty remembered her performance and said, "Yeah, you danced like you weren't carrying our baby." "I couldn't back out at the time because I only learned that I was pregnant two weeks before the Awards Night and can't think of a plausible reason so that they will replace me. And I can't disclose that I was pregnant," Christine explained. Marty felt culpable and said, "I'm sorry." Christine cupped his face and told him, "Babe, you have already said sorry a thousand times over. It's happened before and there's no undoing the past
"Welcome back!" Matilda joyfully welcomes Marty and Christine as they step out of the car. "Mom!" Christine exclaimed happily while she walked quickly towards her mother in law. "Christine, daughter," Matilda hugged her tightly. "How was your honeymoon," Matilda asked as they broke their embrace. "It's great, mom," she answered, her eyes bright and sparkling. Matilda chuckled and said, "I believe you, it's written all over your face." Christine blushed at her mother in law's remark. Is it really obvious that she and Marty had a great time together? She pondered as she held her blushing cheeks. Marty's lips curled up at the sight of his wife. "Mom," Marty kissed his mom's forehead and speak again, "Aren't you gonna ask your son about the honeymoon?" "No need, I could see on your face that you really enjoyed your honeymoon," Matilda answered her son, laughing. Marty burst into laughter. Christine shook her head, watching the mother and son laugh. They had a chat with Matilda i
As they were enjoying their red wine and their conversation. Christine caught sight of two familiar persons entering the bar. Her eyes went wide as she saw the two familiar figures coming their way. She was sure that they hadn't seen her. She couldn't contain the excitement of seeing them. "Graham, Karen," she excitedly called while waving her hands. Marty was startled by the names she called. Graham and Karen were equally surprised to see Christine. They never thought of her being here. Graham wanted to ignore her, however, it was already too late for him to ignore her since she was already approaching them followed by Marty. "How are you? Such a small world, I wasn't expecting to see you here, but I'm glad to see you both," Christine said just to ward off the awkwardness. She wanted these feelings to be gone because she missed them. Karen hugs Christine and giggles, "It's such a small world, great to see you again." "I guess there are no more tables available, let's go back to
"Are you tired?" Marty asked her while they were seated in the backseat of the car. "I'm dead tired," she answered and leaned her head on his shoulder. Marty sat her in his lap and said, "Take a nap, I'll wake you when we get to the airport." They had a large number of wedding guests, with whom they should at least have a photograph. After dinner, they went from table after table to have a photo with the guests. They were careful not to miss any table because they did not want to offend any of their guests. And that made Christine exhausted, walking around with her stilettos. Plus the dancing and other stuff they did at the banquet. Forty-five minutes later, they arrived at the airport and the car came to a stop within meters of Marty's private jet. Marty woke her up and he held his breath, seeing her thick long lashes flutter as she slowly opened her eyes. His wife is so beautiful, even as she tries to open her eyes. "Hi," said Christine with a blushing face when she opened
