last update Last Updated: 2021-10-21 03:17:41

At the Bloomsbury Karaoke Bar lounge, Cassandra waited for Marty as he received a phone call. A gorgeous man clad in a three piece custom tailored suit approached Cassandra.

“Hi, beautiful.” Cassandra, who was busy playing on her phone, looked up upon hearing the man’s voice.

Looking at the gorgeous man in front of her, Cassandra furrowed her brows. For her, Marty's handsome face and chiseled physique are unparalleled. She bowed and kept playing with her phone.

"Play hard to get, eh?" the guy said sardonically.

Cassandra heard what the man said clearly, but just ignored it. Seeing that Cassandra completely ignored him, the man sat beside her.

“Pretty, how much do you want? Name the price, I am willing to pay.” Cassandra stood at once.

“Go to hell with your money!” Cassandra hissed, her eyes were red because she was livid that the man thought her as a prostitute.

“Babe, what’s going on here?” Marty asked, he put his arm around Cassandra’s waist.

Marty looked at the man with a frown.

“Mr. Jacobs, great to see you again. ” The man said and stood to his feet.

“Mr. Brown, what did you say to my girlfriend? ” Marty spoke coldly and that will send a chill to anyone who hears him.

Cassandra was surprised to hear him say that she was his girlfriend. Her anger was replaced with a giddy feeling.

Marty’s temperament is known to the business world, so Mr. Brown swallowed before speaking.

“Mr. Jacobs, I am sorry. I thought your girlfriend here is a pros ---” before he could finish his sentence, Marty grabbed the man’s suit.

“I dare you to finish your word.” Marty growled, his face and ears were red because of seething anger.

Cassandra panicked and held Marty’s arm, “Babe, let him go. Don't get your hand sullied."

Hearing Cassandra call him babe, Marty’s anger was vanquished at once. He let go of Mr. Brown.

“Let’s go.” He placed his hand and the small of her back and headed to one of the VIP rooms.

Cassandra’s best friends gasped, seeing how Marty held her waist possessively.

“Cassandra!” Her hand covered her mouth that was wide opened and her eyes were wide as a saucer.

Corrine couldn't believe Cassandra fell in love with the movie industry's infamous playboy.

Cassandra and Marty sat side by side, Marty watched Cassandra's friends look at them incredulously.

“Cassandra, tell us we are just seeing things.” Corrine can’t still believe what she is seeing.

She can’t believe it because Cassandra isn’t the type of woman who could easily fall for a man. All of her friends know that Graham had been courting her for years, but hadn’t given her yes to him. There are also tons of celebrities and wealthy men who tried to pry open Cassandra’s heart to no avail.

But Marty only knew her a few days ago and yet she gave her heart. Marty is really a legend making a conservative and picky woman such as Cassandra to fall for him.

“Nope.” Cassandra giggled.

“Really?!” Cassandra’s friend exclaimed simultaneously.

Although Jean and Jack were suspicious of Cassandra and Marty's actions while on set to film, they were unsure what was going on with them. Hence, they were still surprised to know that Cassandra is in a relationship with Marty.

“Sir Marty, please don’t break our friend's heart.” Jean said, her eyes were watery. Thinking about what Cassandra will go through when Marty dumps her.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt her. That is the last thing I want. ” Marty looked at Cassandra.

Marty cherished Cassandra like a matchless precious gem. He didn’t want to spend a day without Cassandra. The truth is he wanted to marry her after they finished filming the movie.

“We’ll count on your word then.” Jack said with a smile.

“Yes, I'll give you my word.” Marty said and held Cassandra’s hand who was quietly sitting beside him.

“That calls for a celebration then!” Jeremy said, he gave each one a bottle of beer.

They toast and drink beer. Cassandra, who never drank, was compelled to drink beer. She tried to swallow it, but she gagged, she ran towards the powder room. Cassandra’s friend laughed seeing Marty’s baffled expression.

“Don’t worry, she isn’t pregnant. She doesn't drink wine because she hates the taste of it. ” Corrine said while laughing.

Marty followed Cassandra into the powder room, she just finished gargling.

“Babe” Marty hugged her from behind. “Why did you drink the beer?” He whispered in her ear.

She turned to face him and said, “I don’t want to embarrass you because I can’t handle alcohol.”

After saying that she buried her face in his chest to conceal her embarrassment. Marty held her chin up so he could see her face.

"What would I be embarrassed about? I’m really glad that you don’t drink alcohol” He looked into Cassandra’s eyes fixedly.

Marty leaned forward, he captured Cassandra’s lips with his. Cassandra froze for a moment, but she responded afterwards. Marty pried open Cassandra’s mouth with his tongue and explored Cassandra’s mouth.

He growled as he tasted Cassandra’s sweet mouth, Cassandra responded with a sweet moan.

They savoured the moment and forgot that they were in the powder room.

“Oh my gosh!” A woman screamed upon seeing the two people making out in the powder room.

Marty immediately hugged Cassandra to hide her face. He wouldn't let her get humiliated.

"Why don't you go to the hotel and do your thing over there." The lady said while walking up to the cubicle and slammed the door as she went in.

Marty cupped Cassandra's face and brushed her lower lips and smiled at her. “Let’s go,” said Marty.

"What took you guys so long?" Jeremy asked right after Cassandra and Marty sat down. He wiggled his brows while smirking at Cassandra and Marty.

Cassandra blushed as she remembered the lady who saw them kissing.

Corrine noticed Cassandra’s flushed face, she laughed and said. “Don’t tell us you make out in the powder room”

“You!” Cassandra couldn’t refute Corrine, her face was red like a ripe tomato.

“Our friend is no longer as innocent as before. Now you can relate to us when we talk about intimate things. ” Jean roared in laughter.

Cassandra bowed her head and clasped her hand, she wanted to dig a hole and hide in it.

Marty was amused to discover that there is still an innocent woman in the industry. He did not expect Cassandra to be innocent, considering the part she usually plays in a film.

“Sir Marty, that’s why we are asking you to be careful with her heart.” Corrine said while chuckling.

“You’re her first boyfriend.” Jeremy said and downed his beer.

“If you break her heart, we are going to break your face.” Jack was serious when he said that because Cassandra is like his younger sister.

Marty’s lips curled up, he was glad to know that Cassandra’s friends are protective over her. He held Cassandra’s hand and squeezed it gently. Marty was delighted that he is Cassandra’s first boyfriend.

Marty drank one bottle of beer only after that he drank juice just like Cassandra is doing while her friends were singing.

"Cassandra, don't you want to sing?" Jean gave Cassandra the microphone.

Jean picked Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud”. Cassandra got up and took a seat on the stool.

Marty didn’t expect Cassandra to have a beautiful voice. Cassandra and Marty never broke their eye contact all throughout the song.

"That's a really great performance." Jeremy said, clapping his hand.

“I couldn’t agree more.” Marty said, as he hugged Cassandra.

“You’ve got a lovely voice, babe.” Marty kissed Cassandra’s forehead.

“Guys, Jean and I shall take our leave now.” Jack pulled Jean up as she is already tipsy.

“Babe, we have to go now. We still have to film tomorrow. ” Cassandra caressed Marty's face.

“Ummm” Marty hummed.

The whole bunch is out of karaoke bar. The rest of the gang was drunk except for Marty and Cassandra.

Cassandra opened the door and came in, Marty came in as well and closed the door. He turned her to face him and kissed her. Cassandra kissed him back the same fervor he has. Cassandra felt her whole body was on fire.
