Before sunup, Marty woke up. He felt a soft hand beneath his shirt wrapped around his chest. It suddenly dawned on him that he slept in Cassandra’s bed and the woman beside him was Cassandra.
Waking up with Cassandra beside him, Marty felt like his heart would burst with joy. He looked at the woman who was asleep next to him. Her face flushed and looked innocent and beautiful. He couldn't hold himself back anymore. He bent over and kissed her lips so gently that he would not awaken her. He relished the moment and embraced Cassandra while she slept.
About five minutes later, he reluctantly rose from bed. He took his shoes from the shoe rack, he keenly observed that it was placed next to Cassandra's shoes. This made him happier thinking that they were like real couple sharing their space with each other.
He promised himself they'd turn into true couple. He will let no other man take Cassandra's heart.
Before leaving, he kissed Cassandra’s forehead, Cassandra held his hand while her eyes were closed. Marty froze for a moment, thinking he had been discovered kissing her while asleep. He breathes a sigh of relief when he finds out that Cassandra is still asleep.
Heading toward his condo, Marty looked at the baby pink t-shirt he was wearing and smiled. He didn’t bother to take his suit to cover it. He deliberately left his suit and shirt at Cassandra’s apartment.
An hour later, Cassandra woke up. She was disappointed that the side where Marty laid was empty. She felt empty, waking up without seeing him.
She got up and went into the bathroom lifeless. She felt like crying, she only spent a night with him and now she’s craving for him.
All the walls she built to protect her heart came crashing down after a night of attending to him. She found herself vulnerable, unable to protect her heart from him.
Cassandra spent an hour preparing to film today. The thought of seeing Marty at the filming made her heart pound wildly. She breathed a resigned sigh, she can no longer do anything. Since her heart belonged to Marty she won’t fight against it anymore.
The moment she left her apartment, Cassandra spotted a luxury car. A man standing beside the car.
“Good morning, Ma’am Cassandra.” the chauffeur greeted as he bowed his head.
Cassandra was perplexed what this chauffeur was doing in front of her apartment and how he knew her name.
“Sir Marty asked me to pick you up.” the chauffeur went on seeing Cassandra’s bemused expression.
Since she is already getting late for the filming Cassandra got into the car. She's surprised to find herself calm. The anxiety she felt when fighting her feelings is gone.
Upon arriving on the set, Cassandra's eyes roamed in search of Marty, but she could not find him. Cassandra was worried about his health. A few minutes later, Marty arrived before the cast arrived. Marty went straight to Cassandra.
“Good morning.” Cassandra smiled at him.
“Good morning.” Marty took Cassandra in his arms, he couldn’t hold back anymore.
Since Cassandra was determined to show her feelings for him, she hugged him back.
The film crew who witnessed them hugging were shocked. Yesterday they saw Marty and Alexia being affectionate with each other and now he is hugging Cassandra. They shook their heads, they pitied Cassandra since they already guessed her future. She will just be ditched by Marty after he becomes bored with her.
Even though they saw Marty and Cassandra hugging, they didn't dare divulge what they saw because they were afraid of the repercussions.
The two people already understood each other without saying what they felt about each other. They remained in each other's arms for a good minute before breaking their embrace. But Marty didn’t remove his hands from Cassandra’s waist.
"How are you feeling now?" Cassandra placed her hand on Marty's neck to check if his fever had abated.
“I feel great, my nurse did a great job.” He winked at Cassandra and chuckled.
“I’m glad you are okay now.” Cassandra giggled.
Marty drew Cassandra closing the distance between their bodies and laid his chin on Cassandra's head.
“You have no idea how you made me happy, Cassandra.” Marty said.
He didn’t expect that a woman would have his heart and bring immense happiness to him even without sharing his bed.
"Ummm" Cassandra couldn't come up with a word to describe how happy she felt.
“Ahem” Len cleared her throat, interrupting their moment.
Realizing there were people around them, Cassandra broke their embrace. Her face blushed as if she did something wrong and caught red handed.
Marty chuckled, seeing Cassandra’s expression, Len chuckled as well.
“Babe, go get yourself ready.” Marty said as he caressed her cheeks.
“Ummm” Cassandra held Marty’s hand that was caressing her cheek.
Len followed Cassandra into the dressing room.
“Oh my gosh, Cassandra!” Len exclaimed, she can’t believe that Cassandra gave in to Marty’s charm.
“Len, I tried to fight it but I can’t resist how I feel for him.” Cassandra explained.
"But you are aware that he is a playboy. Aren’t you afraid that you’ll end up broken?" Len held Cassandra's hand and looked her in the eyes to persuade her to flee while she was still intact.
She doesn’t want her friend's life ruined, she knows that Marty will only use Cassandra’s body to fill his lustful desire and after that he's going to get rid of her.
“His reputation is not hidden from you Cassandra. Avoid him before it’s too late.” Len squeezed Cassandra’s shoulder lightly.
“I love him, Len. I loved him the first time I saw him, not knowing that he is Marty Jacobs.” Cassandra is determined to fight for her love.
“What?” Len couldn’t believe her ears.
Cassandra recounted how she met Marty and how she knew that Marty had her heart at that moment.
"I didn't believe the things people said about love at first sight, but now I do." Cassandra says that her eyes sparkle like stars.
“Alright, I won’t dissuade you anymore. I hope you both will be happy together.” Len tapped Cassandra’s arm and left.
After lunch, Cassandra and her best friends were having a chat when Marty sat next to her. They were so close that Cassandra’s friends raised their eyebrows at her.
“Is there something you want to tell us Cassandra?” Jean smiled mischievously at Cassandra.
"Honey, I am certain that our friend would like to tell us something. Why don't we go out tonight after filming?” Jack said, wrapped his arms at Jean’s shoulder.
Jean and Jack are newly married couples, both are Cassandra's closest friends.
“That’s a good idea, honey.” Jean's eyes brightened.
“I’ll call Corrine and Jeremy, I know they will love to join us.” Jean went on and picked her phone and started a call.
“Sir Marty, would you want to come along?” Jack asked Marty and then looked at Cassandra.
Cassandra and Marty looked into each other’s eyes. "Would you have me join you?" asked Marty in a gentle voice.
“Ummmm” Cassandra nodded incessantly.
“Cassandra!” Jean exclaimed as she caught how Cassandra looked at Marty lovingly.
“Will you tell us what is going on?” Jean chuckled.
“Honey, she'll tell us tonight. It will be more fun if the whole gang is there to hear it. ” Jean nodded and winked at Cassandra.
Marty didn’t say a word, instead he watched how Cassandra and her friends interacted with each other.
At the Bloomsbury Karaoke Bar lounge, Cassandra waited for Marty as he received a phone call. A gorgeous man clad in a three piece custom tailored suit approached Cassandra. “Hi, beautiful.” Cassandra, who was busy playing on her phone, looked up upon hearing the man’s voice. Looking at the gorgeous man in front of her, Cassandra furrowed her brows. For her, Marty's handsome face and chiseled physique are unparalleled. She bowed and kept playing with her phone. "Play hard to get, eh?" the guy said sardonically. Cassandra heard what the man said clearly, but just ignored it. Seeing that Cassandra completely ignored him, the man sat beside her. “Pretty, how much do you want? Name the price, I
The kiss lasted several minutes, all of a sudden Marty unlocked their lips. Cassandra was befuddled why he stopped kissing her. “Babe?” Marty hugged Cassandra, she could hear Marty’s heart beating wildly. Cassandra looked up at Marty, her eyes searching for an answer, but Marty's eyes were shut. "Is everything okay, baby?" asked Cassandra. “It’s getting late, babe. I should be going. I'll pick you up in the morning. " Marty brushed Cassandra's puffy lips. “I’ll send you off,” Cassandra said and walked towards the door. “You don’t have to.” Marty held Cassandra’s wrist. “Alright.” Cassandra smiled at him. “Good night.” Cassandra added. “Good night” Marty gave her a peck on the cheeks and left. Marty decided to leave, he knew if he stayed long enough, everything would be out of hand. She is not a woman to be trifled with, she is his beloved. On her bed, Cassandra thought her relationship with Marty was bringing her tremendous joy. She is ecstatic to be with the man she loves as
Cassandra’s eyes agape when the car pulled out in front of the mansion. She didn’t see their way entering the high end community as Marty was busy devouring her mouth. "Is this your house?" Insecurity has taken hold of Cassandra's heart. Her complexion paled a few shades and her body shuddered. “Don’t be afraid.” Marty could see that Cassandra is thinking that his mom is a snobby wealthy woman who looked down on her poor daughter in law. "I know what you're worried about." Marty continued. He hugged Cassandra to give her assurance. “Babe” Cassandra’s eyes were teary. "I'm nervous," she ended up acknowledging her apprehension. Marty stroked
With Mrs. Jacobs pleading eyes and tears rolling down her cheeks, Marty and Cassandra couldn’t do anything but to give in to her request. "I've got the tub ready. You take a bath while I take a look at my mom if she’s fine. ” Mrs. Jacobs has a weak heart, thus Marty is worried about his mother crying a while back. Cassandra nodded and headed to the bathroom. While Cassandra dips into the bubble bath, she feels like a princess because of the exquisite and luxurious bathroom. Five minutes later, Cassandra had a shower after soaking in the bubble bath. While she applies moisturizing cream on her legs, Cassandra notices a large spider crawling towards her. Marty heard Cassandra’s scream while he was headi
Breakfast was served on the mansion’s patio. Cassandra is impressed with the design of the patio. She's never seen anything so exquisite like this patio. Everything in the mansion is truly incredible, the designer is truly a genius, she thought. Knowing that Cassandra has a soft heart towards her, Mrs. Jacob took advantage of that in the right sense of the word. “Cassandra, hija, are you busy today?” asked Mrs. Jacob, while putting spreads on her toast. “I am not, Madam, we aren’t filming today.” Cassandra answered while Marty put food on her plate. “Hija, call me mom or mommy.” Mrs. Jacob chuckled. "May I call you, aunt, instead of mom?" Cassandra felt awkward to think that she was ju
While having lunch, Marty observed Cassandra avoiding eye contact with him. After eating, Marty went to the patio and looked at the photo album that is still on top of the table. He had the intuition that Cassandra's present condition had something to do with the pictures. He took the photo album that is on top and flipped through it. He saw his photos with his ex - fiancee. He gritted his teeth because of seething anger. Why was his photo with his ex - fiancee still kept? He called a maid and instructed her to burn the photos of him and his ex - fiancee. Memories of the past crossed his mind, all the pain he felt became fresh again. It is like peeling the scab from a wound that is starting to heal. He feels like his heart is going to explode at any moment. Marty closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
“You’re having doubts about me, aren’t you? "Marty seemed hurt. “I.. I'm afraid of losing you, babe" Cassandra stifles her tears. “Babe, trust me. Breaking your heart is the last thing I want. ” Marty took a deep breath. He couldn’t blame Cassandra for being apprehensive considering his skirt chasing history. “I know where your fear is coming from. It’s my reputation as a notorious playboy, isn’t it?” Cassandra nodded, but refrained from looking at Marty. “Babe, I have changed since I met you. Take my word for it, please.". Cassandra leaned her head on Marty’s shoulder. "Babe, I trust yo
Staring at Marty's clothes hanging in the wardrobe next to her clothes, joy fills Cassandra's heart by the fact that she will be with Marty every day. She couldn’t resist the urge to clap seeing hers and Marty’s shoes are on the shoe rack. It was only two days ago that she wished them to become couples and now it has become real. “Ahem” Marty cleared his throat. Cassandra was unaware that Marty was watching her. Cassandra's heart thuds at her rib cage threatening to jump out of her chest at the sight of Marty. A towel wrapped around Marty's waist, his chiseled torso glistening with droplets of water dripping from his hair onto his body. In her entire life, it is the first time she looks at a man's body which evokes an unusual reaction in her body. She averted her gaze and scurried to the bathroom. She closed the door and propped on it. Her breathing was heavy and her face felt hot. She took a shower and did her evening skin care routine. After a while, she donned her pajamas and
Christmas Eve New Zealand Jacobs Estate After dinner the children excitedly went into the living room waiting for Marty to read a story for them. He sat at the love seat beside Christine, before opening the book he kissed Christine’s forehead. He placed the book on his lap, then placed his left arm around Christine’s shoulders and she leaned her head on Marty’s shoulder. And then he began to read the story for the children. Christine looked up, admiringly at her husband who was reading the story. As usual he switches voices to suit the character. After finishing the story the children went to kiss both Christine and Marty. “Grandpa, thank you for reading the book for us,” the 7 years old Jackson, their eldest grandson said and kissed Marty’s cheeks and then went to Christine and kissed her cheeks also and hugged both Christine and Marty telling them “I love you both to the moon and back.” That is what his mom, Cassie and father, Jared always tell him. Cassie and Jared got married
The doctor and nurses silently watched Marty grieving. They heard every word Marty told his wife. Their hearts go to Marty, seeing how broken he was. While Marty sobbing, Christine gasped and simultaneously opened her eyes. “Babe, you’re alive!” Marty shouted with joy. The doctor and nurses came running to them and attended to Christine immediately. Marty's tears didn’t stop welling up. “God, thank you,” he said while watching his wife. When the doctor was certain that Christine’s were fine they wheeled her into her suite. Marty stayed by her side and didn’t want to leave her. “Babe, how are the babies doing?” Christine asked when she didn’t see the babies in the room. “They're fine, they’ll be here after the newborn screening,” Marty brushed his thumb on her cheek, Marty’s vision became blurry as his tears pooled in his eyes and tears rolled down. He bent forward and hugged her tightly. “Please, don’t leave me babe,” he said incoherently while crying. Christine could feel his
Corrine went to the airport to pick up Jeremy. She was really pleased to see Jack and Jared. "Hey, little man, you're here to surprise your mom?" Corrine asked Jared while he ruffled his soft blond hair. "Yup," Jared answered her with a smirk. Corrine chuckled at his expression and said, "You really look and act like your dad." "Of course, he is good looking and smart like me," Jack said with a smug face. "Your son is an even better version of you. He's a lot more handsome and smarter than you." "He doesn't have that look and that brain if I wasn't his dad," Jack retorted while Corrine snorted. The next day, a limousine came to fetch Christine's best friends from the hotel. Christine was pacing back and forth in the living room while she eagerly awaited her best friends' arrival. Marty was worried about her condition and held her arm and said, "Babe, sit down, don't strain yourself.". He directed her towards the couch and sat down. Christine w
"No doubt she is Stella's daughter, she is the spitting image of her mother.” watching Christine attentively, her eyes soft. She and Stella were best friends. Whatever Stella had, she also had. Stella treated her like her own sister. Looking at Christine, Lorna reminisces the happy moments she had with Stella. After a couple of moments of reminiscence, she took Christine's hand and said, "My uncle had sought you out all these years. I am so pleased that you are finally here." Christine smiled feebly, she didn't know how to answer Lindsey's mother. She is trying to digest the fact that the woman who wanted to destroy her marriage was actually a family. And she's kind of baffled by the difference in attitude between Lindsey and Lorna; they're like the south and north poles. One has a trashy attitude while the other is gentle and kind. Are they really related to each other? She shudders at the thought that Lindsey is actually her cousin, that Marty meeting Lindsey is in
Señor Dela Vega squinted his eyes and gave Lindsey a side glance and said, "Are you even trying to manipulate me?" Lindsey trembled when Senor Dela Vega spoke to her in an authoritative tone. He didn't speak to her the way he did. He always doted on her and spoke to her gently. "I'm sorry, grandpa," she whispered. Senor Dela Vega ignored her and stared at Marty and said, "I want to meet your wife.". Everything Lindsey said to him was exactly the opposite of what he heard from Marty. And he was intrigued and wanted to see Christine. Senor Dela Vega stood up from the couch and refused Lindsey's assistance. He was disgusted with everything he had learned from Marty. He thought she was an innocent and pure girl, but she was quite the contrary. Marty came near Christine and whispered something in her ear. Her heartbeat began to pick up as if it's like a racing horse. She took a slow breath to calm down. Christine lowered her head as she was still nervous to meet Lindsey's grandfather.
Rather than being weakened by what Lindsey did, their relationship strengthened. Marty has proven to Christine that he has not cheated on her and her trust in him was fortified. The deed that was meant to tear them apart drew them closer together and made their marriage stronger. "Are you okay?" Marty asked her while they were heading to the fashion show. "I'm nervous, the last time I performed was the Awards Night five years ago," Christine ruefully said. Marty remembered her performance and said, "Yeah, you danced like you weren't carrying our baby." "I couldn't back out at the time because I only learned that I was pregnant two weeks before the Awards Night and can't think of a plausible reason so that they will replace me. And I can't disclose that I was pregnant," Christine explained. Marty felt culpable and said, "I'm sorry." Christine cupped his face and told him, "Babe, you have already said sorry a thousand times over. It's happened before and there's no undoing the past
"Welcome back!" Matilda joyfully welcomes Marty and Christine as they step out of the car. "Mom!" Christine exclaimed happily while she walked quickly towards her mother in law. "Christine, daughter," Matilda hugged her tightly. "How was your honeymoon," Matilda asked as they broke their embrace. "It's great, mom," she answered, her eyes bright and sparkling. Matilda chuckled and said, "I believe you, it's written all over your face." Christine blushed at her mother in law's remark. Is it really obvious that she and Marty had a great time together? She pondered as she held her blushing cheeks. Marty's lips curled up at the sight of his wife. "Mom," Marty kissed his mom's forehead and speak again, "Aren't you gonna ask your son about the honeymoon?" "No need, I could see on your face that you really enjoyed your honeymoon," Matilda answered her son, laughing. Marty burst into laughter. Christine shook her head, watching the mother and son laugh. They had a chat with Matilda i
As they were enjoying their red wine and their conversation. Christine caught sight of two familiar persons entering the bar. Her eyes went wide as she saw the two familiar figures coming their way. She was sure that they hadn't seen her. She couldn't contain the excitement of seeing them. "Graham, Karen," she excitedly called while waving her hands. Marty was startled by the names she called. Graham and Karen were equally surprised to see Christine. They never thought of her being here. Graham wanted to ignore her, however, it was already too late for him to ignore her since she was already approaching them followed by Marty. "How are you? Such a small world, I wasn't expecting to see you here, but I'm glad to see you both," Christine said just to ward off the awkwardness. She wanted these feelings to be gone because she missed them. Karen hugs Christine and giggles, "It's such a small world, great to see you again." "I guess there are no more tables available, let's go back to
"Are you tired?" Marty asked her while they were seated in the backseat of the car. "I'm dead tired," she answered and leaned her head on his shoulder. Marty sat her in his lap and said, "Take a nap, I'll wake you when we get to the airport." They had a large number of wedding guests, with whom they should at least have a photograph. After dinner, they went from table after table to have a photo with the guests. They were careful not to miss any table because they did not want to offend any of their guests. And that made Christine exhausted, walking around with her stilettos. Plus the dancing and other stuff they did at the banquet. Forty-five minutes later, they arrived at the airport and the car came to a stop within meters of Marty's private jet. Marty woke her up and he held his breath, seeing her thick long lashes flutter as she slowly opened her eyes. His wife is so beautiful, even as she tries to open her eyes. "Hi," said Christine with a blushing face when she opened
