Alexia answered the door as soon as she heard the doorbell chime. Marty promised to her that he will come to her condo after he finishes his business. After taking Cassandra home, he headed to Alexia’s condominium.
Marty went in, Alexia hugged Marty’s neck the moment the door closed.
“Babe, I missed you.” It’s been 3 months since Marty came to see her.
While hugging his neck, Alexa tiptoed to kiss Marty, but he dodges. Alexia got hurt when Marty steered clear of her. Marty removed her hand that was wrapped about his neck and walked into the floor to ceiling window.
“Babe, what’s the matter with you?” Alexia followed him and hugged his waist.
Marty removed her hand from his waist and turned to face Alexia.
“Let’s end this,” said with a cold expression on his face.
“What?” Alexia couldn’t believe what she heard.
“I have already told you from the onset.” His voice was cold, causing shivers run through Alexia’s spine.
Right from the start, Marty made it clear to Alexia that he wanted no commitment. He wanted their relationship to be friends with benefits and nothing more. No one but Alexia claimed to be Marty's girlfriend. However, to clarify matters, he needed to cut off Alexia's delusion. Marty wanted to make things right before pursuing Cassandra.
“No, I love you. I can’t let you go. ” Alexia embraces Marty tightly.
Marty sneered, he knew what Alexia was doing behind him. She messes around with other actors. What she loves is his money. Marty is a multi - billionaire. He is the sole heir to one of the nation's leading business conglomerates.
“I will give you a mansion in Brentt Village and a new car and 1 million dollars as compensation.” Alexia maintains an aggrieved expression while weighing the pros and cons of Marty’s offer.
How can a gold digger like her, won't like his offer? Only the highest echelons of the elite community live there. It will be a boost to her image if she lives in Brentt village instead of her condominium. However a greedy person like her isn’t content with that.
“No, you are all I want.” Alexia said with teary eyes and a quavering voice.
Knowing her prowess as an actress, Marty wasn’t moved in the least.
“I love you, Marty” She cupped Marty’s face and kissed him. Instead of kissing her back, Marty pushed her hard so that Alexia fell on the floor with a thud.
Alexia sobbed and held Marty’s legs begging him.
“Alexia, don’t be greedy. You will end up with nothing if you keep on forcing yourself on me. ” Marty is giving Alexia a warning.
Alexia understood it and stood up. “Alright, when can I move into the mansion then?”
“My assistant will contact you.” Marty sneered, he knew the true color of Alexia.
While in the car Marty phones Cassandra. Cassandra didn’t hear her phone ring as she was in the bathroom taking a shower. Marty redialed and patiently waited for Cassandra to answer his call. After umpteen times of calling, Cassandra finally answered the call.
“Hello” Marty heard Cassandra’s melodious voice and he felt like it’s caressing his heart.
“Who is this?” Cassandra asked
“Cassandra, it’s Marty.” Marty said he felt like a schoolboy talking to his crush.
Marty’s chauffeur lips curled up, he could hear Marty’s tone of voice. And it's apparent that he was thrilled. He never heard him talk like that to the women he was with.
“Are you free tomorrow?” Marty wanted to bring her to his beach house.
Cassandra’s heart skips a beat, her hand trembles. Fear and elation filled her heart. She's glad he likes her, but on the other hand, she's afraid of heartbreak.
"Sorry, I'm not." Cassandra feels bad that she's not available.
"Why?" Marty sounded hurt.
“I’m going to spend the day with Graham” Cassandra bit her lips.
“Is that so? How about at night? ” Marty wouldn’t back down.
“We’ll have dinner together before he brings me home.” Cassandra’s having a hard time to turn him down.
There's a part of her that wants to be with him and another part of her says she should stay away from him.
“Alright, Goodnight Cassandra.”
“Goodnight, sir Marty.” Cassandra sighed after she hung up the phone.
Cassandra is getting nervous as Marty is already making a move. She knows that she's struggling to guard her heart from Marty. The thought of giving in to Marty gave her a shiver.
While lying on her bed, the kiss suddenly crossed her mind. Cassandra touched her lips. The kiss was deeply engraved in her memory that she still felt how soft his lips were. Cassandra slept thinking about Marty.
The following day, Graham picked Cassandra from her apartment. They headed to his clinic for her monthly skin care regimen.
“Hi, beautiful” Dr. Karen hugged Cassandra.
“Hello, Dr. Gorgeous,” Cassandra giggled.
“Happy to see you again, I missed you.”
Karen is one of Cassandra’s friends. Both she and Graham went abroad for an aesthetic dermatologist conference.
“Let's start with your beauty treatment. I will use our new acquired equipment. You will surely like it, " Karen pulled Cassandra toward the room.
Cassandra has naturally beautiful skin. She's had an impeccable porcelain skin since she was a kid. She is one of the celebrities that needs no surgery, be it her face or body. She possesses natural beauty. Her monthly skin regimen is just to maintain her beautiful skin. Moreover, it is one of her benefits as one of their endorsers.
An hour later, Graham and Cassandra went to a French restaurant for lunch. It's one of their favorite places. Arriving at the restaurant, Cassandra saw a familiar figure. He looks extremely handsome and gorgeous in his three piece suit. He didn’t notice Cassandra as he was focused with his conversation with the people around him who were also clad in business suits.
A very beautiful and elegant woman seated next to him leaned her head to Marty and whispered. Marty smiled when she was whispering something in his ears. Anyone who looks at them will think that they are lovers.
Cassandra averted her gaze and kept walking. Yesterday, her heart bled because of Alexia and now Marty is flirting with another woman.
Graham felt Cassandra’s body tensed and he leaned towards Cassandra and whispered. “Are you okay?”
Cassandra looked at Graham and smiled and say, “Yes”
Graham pulled the chair for Cassandra and beckoned her to sit. She smiled at him while she sat.
Unbeknownst to Cassandra, shortly after she turned her gaze away, Marty saw her and Graham walking toward their table. Marty watched Cassandra smile warmly at Graham. He’s waiting for Cassandra to look in his direction, but she never did. Her eyes were fixed on Graham.
Little did he know that Cassandra had used all her will power to fight the urge to look in his direction.
Marty lets his assistant handle the meeting just so he can keep an eye on Cassandra. Marty felt vanquished because Cassandra never looked at him until she and Graham left the diner.
Graham and Cassandra went to the supermarket before heading to Cassandra’s apartment. They watch a documentary movie which they both love to do every time they spend time together.
Later, Graham began making dinner for them. He rolled his sleeves over his elbow and wore an apron. While he was prepping, Cassandra was watching him. He is extremely handsome as well, with a sturdy and muscular physique. Cassandra felt guilty that she couldn't reciprocate Graham’s love. She tried several times, but she really couldn’t.
"What do you look at me like that for? Are you falling in love with me? ” Graham chuckled.
“How I wish, I could fall in love with you.” Cassandra sighed.
“Marry me, you will learn to love me as years pass by.” Graham said.
“Graham, don’t be silly.” Cassandra laughed and Graham joined her.
After dinner, Cassandra washed the dishes and made tea after that. While having tea, Graham looked at his watch and saw it was already half past eight. He drank the remaining tea in his cup and stood up.
"Cassandra, I got to go." Graham said.
“I’ll send you off,” Cassandra rose to her feet.
Graham held Cassandra’s hand as they walked towards his car. Before Graham climbed into his car, he hugged Cassandra and kissed her forehead
Marty, who has been sitting in a black luxury car that's parked a couple of feet away, for almost an hour saw what Graham did. Witnessing Graham’s action Marty gripped the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
The moment Graham drove off, Cassandra went into her apartment and took a shower. She heard the doorbell rang upon finishing her skin care routine. She quickly donned her pajamas and rushed to open the door.
"Graham might have left something out," she murmured.
She turned the doorknob and opened the door. “Marty?”
Pleased to hear Cassandra call him by his first name, Marty could not help smiling from ear to ear. Seeing Marty, smiling at her like that makes Cassandra weak - kneed. She could hear her heart pounding wildly. "Why are you here?" Cassandra was baffled why he came at such an hour. “Won’t you invite me in?” Marty’s bright face instantaneously changed into gloom upon hearing her question. Cassandra is debating with herself whether to ask him to come in or chase him away. However, seeing his glum expression, she opened the door wide for Marty to come in. “Have a seat while I make coffee for you.” Cassandra said while closing the door.
Before sunup, Marty woke up. He felt a soft hand beneath his shirt wrapped around his chest. It suddenly dawned on him that he slept in Cassandra’s bed and the woman beside him was Cassandra. Waking up with Cassandra beside him, Marty felt like his heart would burst with joy. He looked at the woman who was asleep next to him. Her face flushed and looked innocent and beautiful. He couldn't hold himself back anymore. He bent over and kissed her lips so gently that he would not awaken her. He relished the moment and embraced Cassandra while she slept. About five minutes later, he reluctantly rose from bed. He took his shoes from the shoe rack, he keenly observed that it was placed next to Cassandra's shoes. This made him happier thinking that they were like real couple sharing their space with each other.
At the Bloomsbury Karaoke Bar lounge, Cassandra waited for Marty as he received a phone call. A gorgeous man clad in a three piece custom tailored suit approached Cassandra. “Hi, beautiful.” Cassandra, who was busy playing on her phone, looked up upon hearing the man’s voice. Looking at the gorgeous man in front of her, Cassandra furrowed her brows. For her, Marty's handsome face and chiseled physique are unparalleled. She bowed and kept playing with her phone. "Play hard to get, eh?" the guy said sardonically. Cassandra heard what the man said clearly, but just ignored it. Seeing that Cassandra completely ignored him, the man sat beside her. “Pretty, how much do you want? Name the price, I
The kiss lasted several minutes, all of a sudden Marty unlocked their lips. Cassandra was befuddled why he stopped kissing her. “Babe?” Marty hugged Cassandra, she could hear Marty’s heart beating wildly. Cassandra looked up at Marty, her eyes searching for an answer, but Marty's eyes were shut. "Is everything okay, baby?" asked Cassandra. “It’s getting late, babe. I should be going. I'll pick you up in the morning. " Marty brushed Cassandra's puffy lips. “I’ll send you off,” Cassandra said and walked towards the door. “You don’t have to.” Marty held Cassandra’s wrist. “Alright.” Cassandra smiled at him. “Good night.” Cassandra added. “Good night” Marty gave her a peck on the cheeks and left. Marty decided to leave, he knew if he stayed long enough, everything would be out of hand. She is not a woman to be trifled with, she is his beloved. On her bed, Cassandra thought her relationship with Marty was bringing her tremendous joy. She is ecstatic to be with the man she loves as
Cassandra’s eyes agape when the car pulled out in front of the mansion. She didn’t see their way entering the high end community as Marty was busy devouring her mouth. "Is this your house?" Insecurity has taken hold of Cassandra's heart. Her complexion paled a few shades and her body shuddered. “Don’t be afraid.” Marty could see that Cassandra is thinking that his mom is a snobby wealthy woman who looked down on her poor daughter in law. "I know what you're worried about." Marty continued. He hugged Cassandra to give her assurance. “Babe” Cassandra’s eyes were teary. "I'm nervous," she ended up acknowledging her apprehension. Marty stroked
With Mrs. Jacobs pleading eyes and tears rolling down her cheeks, Marty and Cassandra couldn’t do anything but to give in to her request. "I've got the tub ready. You take a bath while I take a look at my mom if she’s fine. ” Mrs. Jacobs has a weak heart, thus Marty is worried about his mother crying a while back. Cassandra nodded and headed to the bathroom. While Cassandra dips into the bubble bath, she feels like a princess because of the exquisite and luxurious bathroom. Five minutes later, Cassandra had a shower after soaking in the bubble bath. While she applies moisturizing cream on her legs, Cassandra notices a large spider crawling towards her. Marty heard Cassandra’s scream while he was headi
Breakfast was served on the mansion’s patio. Cassandra is impressed with the design of the patio. She's never seen anything so exquisite like this patio. Everything in the mansion is truly incredible, the designer is truly a genius, she thought. Knowing that Cassandra has a soft heart towards her, Mrs. Jacob took advantage of that in the right sense of the word. “Cassandra, hija, are you busy today?” asked Mrs. Jacob, while putting spreads on her toast. “I am not, Madam, we aren’t filming today.” Cassandra answered while Marty put food on her plate. “Hija, call me mom or mommy.” Mrs. Jacob chuckled. "May I call you, aunt, instead of mom?" Cassandra felt awkward to think that she was ju
While having lunch, Marty observed Cassandra avoiding eye contact with him. After eating, Marty went to the patio and looked at the photo album that is still on top of the table. He had the intuition that Cassandra's present condition had something to do with the pictures. He took the photo album that is on top and flipped through it. He saw his photos with his ex - fiancee. He gritted his teeth because of seething anger. Why was his photo with his ex - fiancee still kept? He called a maid and instructed her to burn the photos of him and his ex - fiancee. Memories of the past crossed his mind, all the pain he felt became fresh again. It is like peeling the scab from a wound that is starting to heal. He feels like his heart is going to explode at any moment. Marty closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
Christmas Eve New Zealand Jacobs Estate After dinner the children excitedly went into the living room waiting for Marty to read a story for them. He sat at the love seat beside Christine, before opening the book he kissed Christine’s forehead. He placed the book on his lap, then placed his left arm around Christine’s shoulders and she leaned her head on Marty’s shoulder. And then he began to read the story for the children. Christine looked up, admiringly at her husband who was reading the story. As usual he switches voices to suit the character. After finishing the story the children went to kiss both Christine and Marty. “Grandpa, thank you for reading the book for us,” the 7 years old Jackson, their eldest grandson said and kissed Marty’s cheeks and then went to Christine and kissed her cheeks also and hugged both Christine and Marty telling them “I love you both to the moon and back.” That is what his mom, Cassie and father, Jared always tell him. Cassie and Jared got married
The doctor and nurses silently watched Marty grieving. They heard every word Marty told his wife. Their hearts go to Marty, seeing how broken he was. While Marty sobbing, Christine gasped and simultaneously opened her eyes. “Babe, you’re alive!” Marty shouted with joy. The doctor and nurses came running to them and attended to Christine immediately. Marty's tears didn’t stop welling up. “God, thank you,” he said while watching his wife. When the doctor was certain that Christine’s were fine they wheeled her into her suite. Marty stayed by her side and didn’t want to leave her. “Babe, how are the babies doing?” Christine asked when she didn’t see the babies in the room. “They're fine, they’ll be here after the newborn screening,” Marty brushed his thumb on her cheek, Marty’s vision became blurry as his tears pooled in his eyes and tears rolled down. He bent forward and hugged her tightly. “Please, don’t leave me babe,” he said incoherently while crying. Christine could feel his
Corrine went to the airport to pick up Jeremy. She was really pleased to see Jack and Jared. "Hey, little man, you're here to surprise your mom?" Corrine asked Jared while he ruffled his soft blond hair. "Yup," Jared answered her with a smirk. Corrine chuckled at his expression and said, "You really look and act like your dad." "Of course, he is good looking and smart like me," Jack said with a smug face. "Your son is an even better version of you. He's a lot more handsome and smarter than you." "He doesn't have that look and that brain if I wasn't his dad," Jack retorted while Corrine snorted. The next day, a limousine came to fetch Christine's best friends from the hotel. Christine was pacing back and forth in the living room while she eagerly awaited her best friends' arrival. Marty was worried about her condition and held her arm and said, "Babe, sit down, don't strain yourself.". He directed her towards the couch and sat down. Christine w
"No doubt she is Stella's daughter, she is the spitting image of her mother.” watching Christine attentively, her eyes soft. She and Stella were best friends. Whatever Stella had, she also had. Stella treated her like her own sister. Looking at Christine, Lorna reminisces the happy moments she had with Stella. After a couple of moments of reminiscence, she took Christine's hand and said, "My uncle had sought you out all these years. I am so pleased that you are finally here." Christine smiled feebly, she didn't know how to answer Lindsey's mother. She is trying to digest the fact that the woman who wanted to destroy her marriage was actually a family. And she's kind of baffled by the difference in attitude between Lindsey and Lorna; they're like the south and north poles. One has a trashy attitude while the other is gentle and kind. Are they really related to each other? She shudders at the thought that Lindsey is actually her cousin, that Marty meeting Lindsey is in
Señor Dela Vega squinted his eyes and gave Lindsey a side glance and said, "Are you even trying to manipulate me?" Lindsey trembled when Senor Dela Vega spoke to her in an authoritative tone. He didn't speak to her the way he did. He always doted on her and spoke to her gently. "I'm sorry, grandpa," she whispered. Senor Dela Vega ignored her and stared at Marty and said, "I want to meet your wife.". Everything Lindsey said to him was exactly the opposite of what he heard from Marty. And he was intrigued and wanted to see Christine. Senor Dela Vega stood up from the couch and refused Lindsey's assistance. He was disgusted with everything he had learned from Marty. He thought she was an innocent and pure girl, but she was quite the contrary. Marty came near Christine and whispered something in her ear. Her heartbeat began to pick up as if it's like a racing horse. She took a slow breath to calm down. Christine lowered her head as she was still nervous to meet Lindsey's grandfather.
Rather than being weakened by what Lindsey did, their relationship strengthened. Marty has proven to Christine that he has not cheated on her and her trust in him was fortified. The deed that was meant to tear them apart drew them closer together and made their marriage stronger. "Are you okay?" Marty asked her while they were heading to the fashion show. "I'm nervous, the last time I performed was the Awards Night five years ago," Christine ruefully said. Marty remembered her performance and said, "Yeah, you danced like you weren't carrying our baby." "I couldn't back out at the time because I only learned that I was pregnant two weeks before the Awards Night and can't think of a plausible reason so that they will replace me. And I can't disclose that I was pregnant," Christine explained. Marty felt culpable and said, "I'm sorry." Christine cupped his face and told him, "Babe, you have already said sorry a thousand times over. It's happened before and there's no undoing the past
"Welcome back!" Matilda joyfully welcomes Marty and Christine as they step out of the car. "Mom!" Christine exclaimed happily while she walked quickly towards her mother in law. "Christine, daughter," Matilda hugged her tightly. "How was your honeymoon," Matilda asked as they broke their embrace. "It's great, mom," she answered, her eyes bright and sparkling. Matilda chuckled and said, "I believe you, it's written all over your face." Christine blushed at her mother in law's remark. Is it really obvious that she and Marty had a great time together? She pondered as she held her blushing cheeks. Marty's lips curled up at the sight of his wife. "Mom," Marty kissed his mom's forehead and speak again, "Aren't you gonna ask your son about the honeymoon?" "No need, I could see on your face that you really enjoyed your honeymoon," Matilda answered her son, laughing. Marty burst into laughter. Christine shook her head, watching the mother and son laugh. They had a chat with Matilda i
As they were enjoying their red wine and their conversation. Christine caught sight of two familiar persons entering the bar. Her eyes went wide as she saw the two familiar figures coming their way. She was sure that they hadn't seen her. She couldn't contain the excitement of seeing them. "Graham, Karen," she excitedly called while waving her hands. Marty was startled by the names she called. Graham and Karen were equally surprised to see Christine. They never thought of her being here. Graham wanted to ignore her, however, it was already too late for him to ignore her since she was already approaching them followed by Marty. "How are you? Such a small world, I wasn't expecting to see you here, but I'm glad to see you both," Christine said just to ward off the awkwardness. She wanted these feelings to be gone because she missed them. Karen hugs Christine and giggles, "It's such a small world, great to see you again." "I guess there are no more tables available, let's go back to
"Are you tired?" Marty asked her while they were seated in the backseat of the car. "I'm dead tired," she answered and leaned her head on his shoulder. Marty sat her in his lap and said, "Take a nap, I'll wake you when we get to the airport." They had a large number of wedding guests, with whom they should at least have a photograph. After dinner, they went from table after table to have a photo with the guests. They were careful not to miss any table because they did not want to offend any of their guests. And that made Christine exhausted, walking around with her stilettos. Plus the dancing and other stuff they did at the banquet. Forty-five minutes later, they arrived at the airport and the car came to a stop within meters of Marty's private jet. Marty woke her up and he held his breath, seeing her thick long lashes flutter as she slowly opened her eyes. His wife is so beautiful, even as she tries to open her eyes. "Hi," said Christine with a blushing face when she opened
