Jacob’s POV
Suddenly, her eyes fluttered open, and she looked around the bed, searching for something.
"What is it?" I asked, concern seeping into my voice.
"There...there was a blue nightdress on my bed. Where is it?" she asked, her tone urgent.
"Tessa must have moved it when she made the bed" I answered, watching her closely "Do you want me to find it for you?"
Rima paused, her gaze meeting mine. After a moment, she seemed to relax, sinking back against the pillow "No, it's fine" she murmured softly, her eyes closing once again.
I watched her for a moment, puzzled by the sudden urgency and then the equally sudden dismissal. I could only wonder what significance the blue nightdress held for her. But for now, it seemed more important to let her rest and recover. The mysteries would have to wait.
