Ashina's Quest: Chapter 44

When we got to the dungeon, I realized, there was no way for me to go by myself. Conri carried me in one hand and my chair in his other until we were at the bottom of the steps. He put my chair on the floor then he gently sat me in it and wasn't even out of breath. Damn, my mate is hot. Before he stood, I put my hand on his cheek and kissed him softly, "You are my world. You know that, right?" He smiled, "And you're mine." I said, "Any chance we can put a ramp or elevator going down here?" Conri said, "Dad is already on it. I think he's planning an elevator." I smiled, "That would be awesome. Shall we go to the guy who shot me first?"

We went to the very end of the row of cells, and found him sitting on a cot, just staring at the wall. I noticed his eyes were glazed over and I asked, "Who are you linking? Your new 'king'? You know the only reason you are here is because he was too big of a coward to try and kill me himself. You were a pretty big coward yourself for shooting
