Emily's Longing

The mansion was eerily silent as Emily wandered its sprawling halls. The moonlight streamed through the tall windows, casting ghostly shadows on the walls. It had been two months since she had been brought here, two months since she had last seen her brothers. She found it hard to believe that they hadn't come for her. She longed for their faces, their voices, their laughter. Deep down, she wished they had come to rescue her.

Emily wrapped her arms around herself as she walked, feeling the chill of the night air seeping into her bones. She felt like a stranger in this place, a beautiful prison that she couldn't escape.

Her footsteps echoed softly as she made her way through the halls, her mind a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions.

As she reached the grand staircase, she paused, looking down at the vast entrance hall below. The chandelier overhead sparkled with an almost otherworldly glow, casting prismatic patterns on the marble floor
